Greener Side

Review: We entered into our contract agreement with The Greener Side Lawn and Garden on 19Apr 2013, the agreement was to remove 2 trees and brush and all debris as well as complete turf renovation of our back lawn. The estimate was for $4000 and we paid upfront ($2000).It was approximately two weeks before any work was accomplished. The company took down the smallest tree, and sprayed all our weeds and back lawn to kill the weeds and lawn. The workers did not haul away the brush and tree. They actually made money by hauling away some of our neighbors brush and placed it in the pile with ours on our lawn doing damage to our front lawn. It took multiple phone calls and 5-6 days before [redacted] (owner) came back to haul away some of the debris not even half. We finally cut and tied the debris ourselves to have our trash removal company take it away.It was approximately three weeks (06 May 2013) after hiring The Greener Side Lawn and Garden that we canceled the contract we agreed by phone call that of the money ($2000) we gave as a deposit we would get $1700 back from them. We were told the check would be in the mail, and it should be delivered within two weeks we waited two weeks no check arrived, when we called, we were told the bank had sent it to the wrong address, so we waited another week or so for the next check no check. It was also agreed that all equipment and material left behind (extension ladder, 2 gas cans, rope and chain saw tool) would be collected within a couple days of the cancellation. To this day, these items still remain in our backyard.Since early June, we have been in fairly frequent contact with [redacted], of The Greener Side Lawn and Garden to work the logistics of the refund. Multiple phone calls go un-answered we have been promised the $1700 we are owed multiple times, and we have been extremely patient and accommodating with NO closure.Desired Settlement: We desire that we finally get our $1700 refund and for **. [redacted] to come and retrieve the material left here at the termination of the contract.
