Greenland Recovery Group Reviews (%countItem)

Collections agency called me. Demanded I pay them and then tried to tell me that they had the national registry in front of them and provided me with wrong information about myself which I tried to tell them was not accurate. Upon explaining why I couldn’t pay the debt today 3-11-2020 the caller then began to raise her voice at me, trash me as a parent, rudely question my income and living situation and then began to tell me I had 24 hours to pay up or they would file for my wages when I returned back to work to be garnished. Then she stated she would file the motion in the incorrect county for a state I don’t even live in. The caller then hung up on me after telling me she had nothing else to say to me. When I called back and asked to speak with a supervisor or manager they transferred me back to her where she laughed in my face and stated that she was the supervisor and told me she didn’t know why I bothered calling back when I didn’t have the money to pay. I asked her to cease contact with me and to never call my phone again and if she wanted to file a motion to garnish my wages to then do so because I refuse to comply or try to pay a collector with this kind of behavior or attitude. I’m not sure if this is legal or how it works, but I wish that she would have listened to me speak instead of constantly interrupt me and degrade me. I do fully intend to pay the debt to the lender but not through an agency who supports this kind of behavior from an employee. Let alone a supervisor. They have called me multiple times leaving robotic voicemails and I keep blocking their numbers and they keep calling back from different ones. I know that collections just do their jobs and I get that but it’s reached the point of harassment.

This company, Greenback Recovery Group or GRG, has called BOTH my sisters in New York and Oregon looking for me and telling them they are serving papers to me for a debt I owe and that they have a pending lawsuit against me. They are even calling my sister at her job, even though she has REPEATED asked them to stop. I do not know who these people are and I am horrified that they are harassing my family. Please make them stop. This is very upsetting and could cost my sister her job. I have received nothing in writing from these people and do not know what they want.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 14211540, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. There is a possibility there is another collection agency with a similar name.

So for 2 Thursdays in a row now, I have received a call from a Brett or Rhett S stating he is a process server for Bexar County which is the county I live in. He states he is going to serve me papers at my work and I need to call 888-915-8627 which is the arbitrator before tomorrow at 2pm to settle my debt or he will be coming to my work to serve me. Funny thing is, the number Mr. S is calling from is the Bexar County Courthouse. So I called the Courthouse and they said nobody by that name works there and they have had several issues with debt collectors robo calling and duplicating their number and harassing and scaring people making them think it is coming from the courthouse. So I called the 888-915-8627 and the guy answers "GRG". This is another debt collection scam as the rep at the courthouse searched my name and number and said I have no papers being served to me, as Mr. S claimed I was on the "docket to be served" and he was giving me one last chance to contact the 888-915-8627 to resolve this before he serves me. And dont say you record all calls and that call didnt happen as I have both voicemails saved and the numbers he called from saved. I have never once received anything in writing from your company and want the harassment to stop ASAP. Tell the flamboyant Mr. S to never call my phone again, and stop impersonating a bexar county employee. You have already broken the law by not sending me something via writing after the first contact on 2/20/20 which is suppose to be sent to me 5 days after the first contact you tried to make with me and after your voicemail you left. This business is also listed as
