On 5.3.20, my granddaughter's tomb stone was damaged when they were digging the grave next to her plot. I found the damage the next day when I visited. They knocked the pole down too. I filed a police report. I took pictures showing the tracks from the machinery from the grave next to her tombstone. The tombstone is cracked on the right hand side on the back corner, the crack goes from top to bottom. I purchased the headstone from ***. *** gave a verbal replacement estimate to Mr. C of $1150.00. The headstone cannot be successfully repaired.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are sorry for her loss. We are well aware of her concerns. We've talked to her many times. We've met her at the cemetery several times. We have even brought along the monumnet company representative who explained the type of stone she purchased may crack. We understand her hurt concerning a crack in the stone, but the cemetery bears no responsibility for it.
