[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I did speak with the office manager and as of now the apartment smell has been resolved(Only time will tell if it is a permanent fix.) In response, maintenance is one thing, having a problem that does not allow use of an entire room for several days is not maintenance, it is a standard of living expectation that should have been resolved in a more timely manner Telling me that they can't (won't) do anything to reduce rent during this time period because it is a maintenance issue does not mean that I feel the issue is resolved to my satisfactionLucky for me, I only signed a three month lease and will be getting out of this apartment in the near future Regards, [redacted]

Dear [redacted]:We are in receipt of the follow-up complaint submitted on 6/28/2017, ID of [redacted], by [redacted]. By way of introducing myself, I am the Property Manager for The Greens at Westgate, a [redacted] Propertles community. The following is our response to said complaint.[redacted] had submitted a maintenance request on May 25, 2017 in regards to a smell in her spare bedroom, Our maintenance team went above and beyond to remove the smell stated to be in the spare bedroom, With the cooperation of the resident the issue has been resolved.To help further explain the original complaint was in regards to the second bedroom having a smell. This is not an emergency nor does it make the room and/or apartment inhabitable. Since we strive to please all of our residents we pushed forward to get the issue rectified, Our maintenance team worked timely and diligently for a resolution, An air purifier had been placed in the home, a floor sealant had been applied to the subfloor, as well as the Carpets being cleaned. The carpet in this particular home was brand new.I did reiterate that we do not compensate for any maintenance completed in the home, That is specified in clause 11) Condition Of Apartment; "Management is not responsible for any inconvenience or loss caused by repairs to the apartment.". With the cooperation of theresident the issue has now been resolved.On June 27 2017 spoke with [redacted] that also stated the issue had been resolved and that the home no longer has a smell in the spare bedroom, expressed that we do not compensate for maintenance in the home and that is reiterated in the lease agreement, I did offer a rental credit for an electric increase if need be,At this time management and the resident have agreed that the issue is now resolved. (Only time will tell if it is a permanent fix.)  In response, maintenance is one thing, having a problem that does not allow use of an entire room for several days is not maintenance, it is a standard of living expectation that should have been resolved in a more timely manner.  Telling me that they can't (won't) do anything to reduce rent during this time period because it is a maintenance issue does not mean that I feel the issue is resolved to my satisfaction. Lucky for me, I only signed a three month lease and will be getting out of this apartment in the near future.
