BEWARE! Torrance G[redacted] the owner is a scam artist! He will take your money and not repair anything. He hides and doesn't answer the phone. He took 1800 dollars from me under the guise that he would repair my car. He held my car at an unknown location for 5 months and I had to struggle to get my money back! He wrote me two bad checks on a closed business account! He will use his religion to try to make you trust him repeatedly stating he's a minister and a man of his word, which he is not! Do not trust him! Do not give him your car or money! After we discovered what a scam artist he is and located my vehicle, we were told by a fellow shop owner that Torrance G[redacted] has even scammed his own pastor! He was supposed to repair his pastors Mercedes but instead of fixing it he took out a $7000 loan on his pastors vehicle with another shop owner which he defaulted on and cost the pastor his car in court! We have been informed that Torrance G[redacted] and his wife are alleged drug addicts! Beware!","neg-1

Complaint I took my car to Green automotive on or around May 19 or 23rd, to have a motor installed. I was told that he could get a use motor from out of town, but I would have to pay $1500 upfront for the motor to be shipped. I did that. After paying him the amount of fun. I was told that my column be ready in two weeks. Two weeks passed and he said it was going be another two weeks. Each time I will call him, he would give me an excuse why it wasn't really. He said that he found the mechanic the install his motors, he said he had found another mechanic that will come in and work on removing and installed in the motor and that he needed a number $800 in which I gave to him. Each week I called he would not answer the phone or they will say what wasn't in. This is been going on for 2 1/2 months, and this has cause me very much inconvenience as to get into and from work, and home and taken my children's to their games and other places they need to go. I am tired of the excuses for why my car has not been repaired by Green automotive. Mr. Green was supposed to replace a full set of tires on my auto. He put faulty tires that were not rated for my auto, causing the car to vibrate.In September, 2014, I paid Green $580 up front in cash, as he requested to put a full set of tires on my[redacted]. He was supposed to replace my worn tires with new ones. As soon as he returned the car to me, I noticed a vibration in the steering wheel when the vehicle accelerated beyond 40 miles per hour. I called Green several times and left messages expressing my concerns, but he did not respond. Finally, the tire trouble indicator light came on on my dash panel and I knew I had to act. On December 6th I took the vehicle to [redacted] and Battery on[redacted] and [redacted]. The repairman there tested each of the tires and informed me that the reason my trouble indicator came on was that the tires Green put on my vehicle are not even rated for my car! The tires are not graded to be used on a[redacted], which is the type of vehicle in question. What's more, the repairman at [redacted] also stated all of the tires were "terrible," and that one of them was not even round, but was oval! I contacted Green immediately and explained everything. I asked him for a refund but he refused. I have since learned that Green has had several similar complaints against him. I believe he engages in shady business practices. In my case, he was negligent in placing the incorrect tire type on my van. This was dangerous, unprofessional, and incompetent.Desired SettlementI want the full $580 back in cash immediately.Business Response She had brakes done which I will not give 580 the brakes would have to be deducted, which I charge 139.99 for the front and 149.99 for the rear brakes, Also she needs to return the tires and I will turn them in and she will get the remaining funds back less the brakes, But I need those tires back asap. Mr Green promised in writing to give him $400 deposit,that he can get me a car on May 28,2014 he never did and I want my money he wouldn't refund it.I walked into Green's Automotive on the May 23, 2014 and[redacted] Green's asked me to put a down payment of $400.00 toward a car he promised to deliver by Wednesday 28, 2014. Which he never did, I kept on calling him numerous times and he wouldn't answer his phone, so kept on going to the Green's Automotive Shop repeatedly but[redacted] Green constantly kept on deceiving me to the extend that,I told him I needed to go to work, I told him, I couldn't even go to work and I've lost 2 weeks worth of paychecks,as a result of his broken promises, since he has not been able to get me a car as he said he would then him refund me my $400.00. And he wouldn't let me have my money and I called the police on him and the police came by and suggested that, I should lodge me complaint with Revdex.com or pursue a civil lawsuit against him. This owner asked for a deposit to start on repairs. 7 weeks later no repairs have been done. I asked for a refund & now I have to wait til he gets it.I sent my daughter's vehicle to this shop for a diagnostic. The owner [redacted] informed me that the engine needed to be replaced. He ashed for a deposit of at least #400.00 in which I paid. e stated he would order the engine the following week. After 2 weeks of seeing my daughter's vehicle still parked outside of the shop, I contacted him. I got no answer so I popped up at the shop. I talked to [redacted]"The Owner" and he told me he was going to pull the vehicle in that week. He also stated if I wanted to have the vehicle that weekend, I could pay more on my deposit and he would have some guys to work after hours to get it done. I paid an extra $300.00 which was a bad mistake, but I was trusting the owner's word. Smh Another week had passed [redacted] no word from the owner. I called the shop and the business phone was disconnected. I left my job and went to the shop. My daughter's vehicle was still sitting in the same spot, OUTSIDE THE SHOP!!! I left a message on the door for hi, to call me. After a couple of hours I was contacted by the owner. He gave me another excuse and stated once again the vehicle would be ready the following week. Repairs were still not done week 5. I made numerous phone calls and got no answer for an entire week. Week 6 I popped up at the shop again. The door was unlocked but no one was at the front. I took a seat and waited to see if someone was going to come to the front, in which I knew someone had to be here because it's a place of business!!! I called the business phone and now the owner [redacted] comes to the front. I told him, that's me calling and he says yea I know. He proceeds to give me another lie and walks me thru the shop. He shows me some vehicles he's working on and supposedly my daughter's motor that he has purchased. I'm trying very hard to be patient with this man since I had already given him $700.00. I left the shop with another proposed date of the vehicle being ready. I contacted him once again the following week, which is week number 7!!! I told him I could no longer have him giving me dates and he's not touching the vehicle at all for repair. He then stated he was going to start on it that following Wednesday or I could get a full refund back if he didn't start on it. I asked him to put it in writing in which he did. He then asked me to pay him $800.00 more dollars that day and my bill would be cleared. Clearly now I know this is a scam!!I objected that offer. Then on Wednesday, I gave him a call, and once again no answer. I drove to his shop and he had a sign on his door stating the shop was closed til the next day. I had my daughter to go to the shop the next day and now there's a sign stating he would be back in a couple of hours. On Friday I called him and he would not answer. I texted him and told him I needed my keys and my money back or I would have to file a complaint against his business. I arrived at the shop that evening and no one was there. I contacted him again and surprisingly he answered. He stated he was 2 minutes from the shop, This was the 1st time in 7 weeks that I got the truth out of him. He did arrive and gave me my keys. He then proceeded to write me a check stating he would give me half now but don't cash it til the following Tuesday after a check he received clears thru his account ad the other half the following week. So now I have to wait 8 weeks for money I gave up front, time wasted, numerous of trips to the shop wasting gas, absolutely nothing done to the vehicle and insult to injury: he lied about the engine that he showed me being mine!!! He never purchased my engine and he spent my money!!!! Please beware because he is a scam. This ordeal was very unprofessional and I would never go back to him. Unacceptable Repairs and ServiceI have taken two cars to this shop and I have had problems with both of the cars ever since. First I paid to have my compressor replaced it took over 3 weeks for this one service to be completed. I was repeatedly told my car had not been serviced due to time constraints. I literally dropped my car off at the shop every day and picked it up the same way I left it. Once I did get my car serviced the engine light came on the next day and my a/c still did not work! I have been trying to get this problem attended to but I keep getting brushed off. I am sick of this! This is totally UNACCEPTABLE. He never get any of my business ever again. Green's has failed to address a defective water pump installed on my vehicle. He has avoided calls and ALWAYS says my car can't be seen at this time.A new water pump was installed in Feb 2013 with a one year warranty by Green's. I returned to the site within a few weeks as the pump began leaking and needed to be serviced. I had to return in Nov 2013 as it needed to be serviced once again for issues. With the same/recurring issues over time, I called/visited the site twice in January 2014 and on both occasions was told that there were 10 or more cars ahead of me and that I could not be worked in to the schedule at that time. I called back in March 2014, and this time I was again told that I could not be worked in as he was "a week behind" on other cars in the shop. After a full year, I am left with a defective water pump that is worsening by the day yet I still have to drive around with no help from Green's in trying to resolve my issue before the pump completely goes out and I'm left with no transportation, thus required to replace something I've ALREADY paid for. I have had two separate auto service shops to provide me with the same response concerning this pumpboth have checked the vehicle on respective occasions since it's installation and subsequent servicing at Green's, and BOTH have concluded that the water pump is failing, it will not last very long and advised me to have it replaced as soon as possible. I am appalled as I paid for a service that I have honestly not received, and that is unfair to me and my family. This back and forth /charade has gone on for an extended period of time and quite frankly, long enough. I paid $485 cash for this service, and I can be refunded my money or the pump can be properly replaced with a new one. Either way, this issue needs to be addressed and resolved quickly. All communication has been with the owner, Mr. Green. For the payment that was received, I deserve a better product and most importantly a better customer service experience. Desired SettlementI would like to receive a full refund or I can be provided exactly what I paid for"PROPER" installation of a "NEW" water pump. It appears this was a defective part from the start and I have attempted more times than reasonably enough to get my issue resolved. A new water pump should not be leaking or having issues with "going out" within months, furthermore, less than a year. I would like to avoid the continued "run-around" of constantly trying to call and schedule an appointment when we both know this is something that cannot and SHOULD NOT be put off any longer. I have responsibility to have my children to/from school on time and to also be able to get to/from my job without being stranded or having to drive a vehicle that is starting to sound more and more horrible! If you state your ability to provide the service, you should stand by your word and not give customers added stress of trying to correct someone else's mistakes; just own up to the defect or faulty installation and correct the issue. I cannot be stranded with my children and for this safety concern, I am literally being forced to seek services elsewhere which means I'll likely have to replace the pump and incur additional expenses because of this lack of customer service. My vehicle was not properly repaired and the business continues to give numerous excuses and has not tried to resolve the issue.I contacted this business due to my vehicle not functioning correctly. I have dealt with this business in the past but recently the service has been terrible. I had a flat tire on one occasion and it took over week for a replacement tire to be located and installed on my truck. The current is regarding a repair which caused my truck not to crank. The owner of the business stated it would require the replacement of a part in the steering column. My vehicle was left at his establishment on Thursday of one week and the vehicle was not returned to me until Friday of the following week. During the time my vehicle was in the possession of the business the owner was driving the vehicle but stated it was not repaired yet. Each time my husband or I attempt to contact the business the owner is not available or gives a different excuse each time. One week he will state he doesn't have any help and next time he will state he is out of town or he will take care of the problem the next day. Needless to say, he hasn't attempted to resolve the issue. The vehicle was repaired improperly about a month ago and only worked for one week. When I contacted him regarding the issue he only stated just keep trying to crank it. The truck would work one day and then not the next day and so on. Now he has stated will have it towed to his business but he has not done so. I am truly frustrated and above it all the owner is supposed to be an ordained minister. I so grateful that I know true men of GOD don't have character such as this.Desired SettlementThe only resolution I request is for the owner to be a man of his word and repair my vehicle free of charge since he did not repair the vehicle as it should have been when he attempted to do so previously.Business Response we will tow the vehicle on 6/6/14 and will repair the vehicle if its pertaining to the work performed

A friend and I put money down for an engine install in a vehicle being purchased from Mr. [redacted]. He failed to provide the vehicle. We want our money. Mr.[redacted] had already approached my friend[redacted] regarding an explorer truck he was selling. This was going to be for her 16 year old son. She decided to purchase it immediately because I had lost my vehicle a week prior. She came with the idea of getting it now and I drive it for approximately 6 months, meanwhile saving to purchase my own, until her son was legally able to drive. If not I was relying on her to help me get around and she was buying the vehicle for her son regardless of my involvement.Now, Mr. [redacted] needed $500 upfront to purchase the motor he found and install and the truck would be her's to drive. Of course there are more details about cost and payment's that I am not aware of. In appreciation I decided to put half the down payment, because I would be driving it for some months and I needed it IMMEDIATELY. What we three discussed in his place of business on 9/4/2014 is him purchasing an engine to put in the truck requiring $500 for that to happen and the truck would be up and running for us to pick up by 9/12/2014. I put $260 and[redacted] put $300 equaling $560 in cash and he gave us a written receipt. Now Tuesday 9/9 I know he requested more money from[redacted], the amount I am not sure because I was only there for the first initial transaction where I handed my money directly to him, but I do know she is also fighting to get her money back from him.On 9/12 we were told he needed a few more days because he had to fire his mechanic and some other excuse, either way he made a comment on 9/4 that he had to let that same mechanic go so I don't believe he can keep up with his lies. In a few more days he gave[redacted] another excuse. I didn't have the deal with him so I went and asked[redacted] and she dealt with contacting him. First week of October, I am desperate for a vehicle.[redacted] and her daughter are running myself and 3 kids everywhere we may need to go including work Monday through Friday. It is physically & financially taking a tole out on all of us.[redacted] had her daughter leave her truck with me on a few occasions to avoid to much running around and her truck was in poor condition to begin with. So now for over a month there's been deaths in the family... out of town business... his childrens needs... oh but she said and you didn't let me know excuses... THEY WERE ENDLESS and of course this was only when he answered his phone. We both showed up at the business multiple times requiring answers and only got promises. His main thing to say is "I'll have it for you in a few days, let me call you".At that point she decided it wasn't worth it and asked for the entire amount of money back. The next week he wrote her a check for the entire amount but then asked her not to cash it.I had already been saving and really just needed my $260 back so I could put a down payment on a car and not worry about the mess going on. Once Mr. [redacted] asked[redacted] to not cash the check, which I found out when I asked her for my portion, she had gotten some sort of collateral from him. At this point I went to him directly. I called and asked for my money back. Period. I felt[redacted] was being overly nice so I needed to address the situation myself. He gave me the same excuses. Kept saying give him a couple days. I even got the same out of town because his mother in law passed [redacted] At this point he has sold the truck he used our money to fix and did not return what was owed to us.[redacted] is also in desperate need of her portion because she is now down to one vehicle. I cried. I had to start paying someone else to help me out. He caused a hard situation to be horrible. I finally used rent money out of dire need to put down on a car 10/30/2014. I have begged him because my family is hurting and now trying to find other means to pay what I owe and it would have been okay had he done the right thing and refunded our money. He is a horrible business man and con artist. I wish I checked the Revdex.com before doing any businessDesired SettlementI just want the $260 owed to me. Complaint** Green was to complete the repairs on my car and has not completed the repairs for over a month. Everyday it is a different excuse. I took my car to Green's Automotive on [redacted] and spoke [redacted] Green about my alternator. I describe the issues and he states that yes it is the alternator after went next door to [redacted] and borrowed their equipment to test my car. [redacted] Green kept the car for the repairs, instead of replacing the alternator he states he repaired it and charged me 300.00, which was fine. Then he tells me there was another problem and a part needed to be ordered and I had to pay him another 275.00 upfront because he needed to order the part. He said that I could pickup my car on 09/11 and that is when I paid the extra 275.00. I have called this man several times and each time I have gotten an excuse such as he fired the entire crew and rehired new people that would not start until a later date, then I was told that somebody had a baby then was told he was in [redacted] then he was in [redacted] He showed me that he had 8-9 other cars in his shop that would be completed and he would be able to do my car on Monday 10/13. Well, sure enough Monday comes I called he was on [redacted] going somewhere to get a credit and he would call me. He called me at 12:12 I missed the call, I called him back at 12:18 and of course he did not answer the phone, so I left him a message. ** Green still has not returned my call. I have asked him for a refund but he swore he would make this right just give a chance. I have given him several chances to make this right, I have been patient since 09/11/2014 and today is 10/15/2014 and nothing. I want a refund from this man and that is all at this point. He is not going to repair my car and now I realize that after month of calling and going by his shop. I'm tired of the excuses and ** Green keeping my money. I paid the owner [redacted] $1380 to fix my car I paid him in Feb 27 2015 he done had my car for 6months and my car still not running The owner is a scam he is ripping people off for they money he has had my car for 6months and has had my car at two other places besides his shop working on my car that I never knew about I had to find out about he has spent all my money and I have no clue what he has done with my money beside not fix the problems he surpose to fix on my car he took my money had my car hidden at other places and want give me my money back for everything he hasn't done on my car I been consistently asking him for my car I had to go and demand him to go get my car so I can make sure he wasn't trying to steal my car from the fact he had it so long and at other places besides his shop Desired SettlementI am trying to get my money back and for him to be shut down for business for running a scam on me and having my car so long and not fixing my car Business Response ms [redacted] gave us the wrong year to the vehicle, so we ordered parts for the year she gave us we had the hood and fenders and bumper and headlights purchased on the vehicle and it didn't fit, so we looked at the vin# inside the door and it says it's a [redacted] which we ordered parts for a [redacted] and the fenders fit and the bumper but the lights wouldn't work, so now finding out after assembling the vehicle twice now the parts isn't working, so we checked both vin# and the car has 3 different vin numbers on it, at this point I had the car towed to a shop to see if they could figure out which year it was and they had the same issues, finally I ordered all the parts for a [redacted] and it worked perfect. Then she came and picked up her vehicle and drove home call me and said its doing the same thing and she has to get a boost, so I told her to bring it back in to see what's going on she told me her uncle put 3 alternators on the car, so we repaired the vehicle and she has been driving over 3 weeks now, and we also tuned the car up put tires on it, and she asked about a motor mount which I told her she can drop it off and we will put that on for her. She has given us a total of $1380 and we have spent $1693.27 on this car, and still helping to this day with things we have nothing to do with, such as charging related issues and broken breather box parts, that exceeds the $1693.27 so we talked back to her on 7/26 and she said she will bring the car back so we can look at the unrelated issues such as turning the radio on and the car cuts off
