Review: I contacted GreenShore Lawn Care in Spring, 2014 about lawn and landscaping services for my home. I believe I sent an email from their online website. I spoke , I thought to [redacted], the owner after that and we discussed some bushes that were planted last fall and how they looked this spring. I did not hear back, so to the best of my knowledge, I sent another email and I did receive a call back form a [redacted] who said he now ran the business because [redacted] left for Alaska where his wife and children had moved previously. So [redacted] and I met and discussed some landscape and lawn care ideas. I had to call a few times because I was promised a date to come out but something always got in the way-weather,holidays, coach for Little League baseball. I did receive 2 inventories for the work that was done when [redacted] finally did appear after a several phone calls. Then I received a call from [redacted] requesting money to replace 2 dead bushes and he would drop by that day to pick the check up, then he would buy the bushes and install them. Then I got another call from him that the bushes were twice as much as he thought when he got to the nursery, so I had to give him another check so he could go out and buy the bushes to install them that week. Then I got a few calls saying that if I paid in cash, I would receive a discount on my bill for some services and the next month's payment, which I did. I don't have my bushes installed, some other work that was to be done including cutting the grass. The bushes wereto go in August 13th and I have not heard a word from [redacted] yet after sending emails, texts and leaving messages on his cell phone.Desired Settlement: Either get the services I paid in advance for or get my money back.

Review: [redacted] the owner of Greenshore lawn care wrote an estimate of $475 of to do various lawn work. $175 of this $475 was to "Remove all shrubs/trees from planting bed adjacent to ppol, and reset landscape blocks". [redacted] cut the trees down, leaving all stumps in place. At this point, my husband, [redacted] and I had a discussion about hauling aways the trees and what to do with the raised area (railroad ties and landscape blocks about 2 feet high enclosing a large dirt bed). He went on to say that he would be willing to remove the railroad ties, move the blocks, and level this whole area down to the ground for $20/hour and I said I would think about it. I left the house and he called me saying that he would complete the extra work and remove the brush for $200 but for $150 if I could pay him cash that day so I did. At this point he had already completed mowing a 2 acre lawn and scraping weeds from driveway and sprayed affected areas so we thougth he was trustworthy. After removing the trees and hauling the brush away, he said he was going to go get some straps or something to pull the stumps out and never came back. 1 week later after numerous calls and voicemails I got a hold of him and he said he couldn't complete the job and that he would return $375 by check by the weekend. One week later when I called him he said his wife was going to send it and that it should be coming soon. That was in late May. It has been well over a month now! He also sprayed my basketball court with some kind of weed killer and told me the weeds wouldn't come back for 3-4 months but within 2 weeks they were back.

I have pictures of the unfinished raised area where the tree stumps remain, the remaining railroad ties, and the basketball court full of weeds in the cracks. He left the landscape blocks all over my lawn so I had my husband move them because they were killing my grass. He also left the brush for almost a week on the grass despite saying that he would be back "the same day or the next because those shrubs and trees will kill your grass if they stay down there to long". When he finally removed them the grass was dead and discolored. I also have the original contract that he signed and proof that I paid him the original $475 in the form of 2 checks over a couple days. The additional $150 was given in cash. I paid a total of $625 to have 3 out of 5 services not completed.

It states that [redacted] owns this company on your website but the person who came to do the work at my house had a name of [redacted] and he said he owned the company.Desired Settlement: The company failed to honor a verbal commitment to provide refunds, exchanges, or credit and I would like his commitment to be honored so I can pay to have the lawn work completed.

Review: I had an agreement for services for lawn care and snow removal. Mr [redacted] misrepresented himself as the new owner of the company. He insisted I pay my monthly premium in cash and gave me a discount to do so. I gave him $320 and he has not provided any services. At one point he said he was having problems with buying the business and said he would come and do the work. He has not shown up and does not respond to phone calls/emails.Desired Settlement: I want $320 back.

Review: On March 23, 2014 I called [redacted], then owner of GreenShore Lawn Care. [redacted] had provided lawn mowing, fertilizer and spring and fall clean ups for my family for the prior two years at our home located at [redacted]. At that time we had a contract to sell our home with a closing date of July 18, 2014 so we only needed landscaping services through the closing date. [redacted] and I agreed that for the approximately 3 month period of time the fee would be $1,080 which would be charged in 4 monthly installments to my credit card. The first charge occurred on April 17, 2014. In early May I left several messages for [redacted] as he never showed up to do any of the contracted work. I ended up doing the Spring clean up myself. I had also been e-mailing [redacted] as well and then finally received an e-mail back from [redacted] Nicholson indicating he had purchased the business from [redacted] came to my house and we verbally agreed that because a full month had gone by with no services provided that he would do weekly mowing, three organic fertilizer applications and finish the mulching that was supposed to be completed the prior year. We agreed that in addition to the $270 charged back in April I would pay three additional payments of $180. We agreed that each organic fertilizer was $120 and that each lawn mowing / trimming was $75. The first $180 charge occurred on May 16, 2014. My CC was then charged again on 6/12 and 6/22 for two additional $180 charges. My card was then charged $180 on 6/24 and $180 on 6/27. This was two more charges than authorized and [redacted] e-mailed indicating it was an error and would be reversed but never has been.

Throughout this time [redacted] never showed up to do the work without my constantly calling, e-mailing and texting. Twice our lawn was nearly a foot long before I could get him over to mow it. While there were several re-negotiations in the end we agreed that he mowed 5 times @ $75 per time and applied an organic fertilizer one @ $120 for a total of $495 owed by me to [redacted]. However, my credit card had been charged a total of $1,170 (two of the $180 charges were unauthorized and never returned). Thus, I told [redacted] he owed me $675 ($1170 less $495) and that if he provided a check within a weeks time I would not pursue legal action. This was back on July 19, 2014. There have been many attempts to get him to send a check and he has never done so despite claiming he's sent one. I have contacted the Fox Point Police department and after repeated attempts to get him to pay me what he owed me they issued him a citation and assigned him a court date. He did not show for his court date and now has until December 16th to pay or must reappear in court.Desired Settlement: From the very beginning I told [redacted] I merely wanted my money returned and I wouldn't pursue legal action or any other process. He has on numerous occasions acknowledged he owes me money but has failed to return it. I told him if he didn't refund my money I would contact the Revdex.com, write reviews on angies list, YELP, etc., file a small claims lawsuit and contact the police. I have now done several of these but have more to do. I would be more than happy to explain the situation further if that would help you investigate this dispute. Thank you.

Review: I contacted [redacted] at Green Shore Lawn Care on 8/3/14 to inquire about doing a lawn cleanup and some planting at our house. On 8/5/14 [redacted] came to my house and gave me a quote of $310 and asked for a 50% deposit for which I wrote a check. Later that afternoon he called to let me know that he would begin work that afternoon and if I paid the rest in full he would knock off $50. He arrived later that day and I gave him a check for the balance. He then told me that he left some tools at home and would return. He never returned and the next day on 8/6/14 he called to ask if I would like some plants along our garage and after agreeing he quoted me a price of $125 and said he would be over later to pick up the check for the plants on his way to the nursery and would return to begin the clean up and planting. He came to pick up the check and never returned. After several voicemails and emails he finally called on 8/8/14 to say that his truck broke down and would definitely be by on 8/9/14 or 8/10/14 to complete the job. He never showed up. After numerous calls and emails again we gave him a week to return our money, total $385, or we will file a complaint. He did email me on 8/18/14 to say that the refund check was in the mail. I have yet to see the check and I don't believe it was sent. Since our complaints, the previous owner [redacted] has contacted us by phone to let us know that this is a recurring problem with [redacted] since he bought the business only validating my belief that he had no intent to carry out the job, thus stealing our money.Desired Settlement: I would like the amount of $385 refunded to me.
