Text message sent by [redacted] October 1, 2017: Ron, on August 1 you partially completed tree work for me. I paid you in full, a check which you cashed on August 3 for $2000. I paid you because it was the fourth big job you had been hired to do and you had always completed the jobs satisfactorily....

When I told RJ you were coming back to finish, but I had already paid you, he was furious! Emphatically claiming that I had just been ripped off. I defended your integrity vehemently! Insisting that you were an honest man and that you would be back to finish the work. I continued to defend you despite your not returning calls, thinking you were just busy. I guess I was terribly wrong and you do lack integrity and you are a dishonest man. You completed less than 3.5 hours of work and NOT the FULL DAY OF WORK FOR WHICH I PAID AND YOU AGREED TO DO. Shame on me for trusting you, shame on you for your lack of integrity! I desperately want you to actually be an honest man, but your failure to contact me and come back (after 2 months time) to complete the work leaves me with no choice but to accept that RJ is correct and I was ripped off.Text message sent by Ronnie [redacted] October 2, 2017: There was no rip off time is only a partial factor in the job personal and equipment is other. Plus danger and difficulty . I quoted at 2500$+ for the job. I had full intentions to clean up the stuff on other persons property but not in 90 degree heat and humidity. I have been busy but no excuse not to have finished. But don't think that I made a ton of money off you after paying crane and other 4 guys I had there it was minimal. Both my climbers said I Low balled bid. So up to you if you wait for me or hire someone else.Text message sent by [redacted] October 3, 2017: Ron, your exact words to us were that it was a "full days work" and that $600 would only get us 4 hours time with the crane on site, therefore you recommended hiring him for a "full day" at $1200. You also set your fee at $1200 for your portion of the work. I certainly think you can understand why I thought you were not coming back after 2 months with no communication despite our messages to you. A 30 second text indicating "You're still on my list of jobs to complete" would have gone a long way to keep the faith. I realize your guys showed up long before the crane so they were idle, but that is on you and your crane operator. I also realize your chipping equipment was down, again, your responsibility. If you want to make this right, you can either reimburse us for half a days work ($600) or you can come back and chip the branches and give us half a day's work. Your men worked less than 3.5 hours. I think you owe us at least another 3.5 hours. That would be a 7 hour work day. That certainly is not more than a "full days work". As you know, I have lots of tree work that needs taken care of. I've already paid someone else to do the work on my neighbors property that you were to come back and complete. I hope that you are willing to restore the faith and a working relationship. You have done 4 other jobs for us, all of which were $1200-2000 and I was happy with your work. It would be a shame to loose that working relationship over half a days work, as there are many more jobs yet to do.There has been no further communication from Mr [redacted]
