Terrible experience buying a Klair home just over a year ago and still deficiencies are not resolved. A Klair home has promises to fix and repair items as document on the walkthrough and our purchase contract but never shows up to fix the issues. We often have to call and chase down the builder to ask where they are when they have scheduled work days at the house, because of no-shows from their side, many times when builder shows up looks around works an hour and disappears with no notice and work is left in complete.
Over a year has passed and we had to start the process to get resolution through The Alberta New Home Warranty Program.
This is not our first home but dealing with Klair Homes has been defiantly the most stressful situation that an owner of a newly built home should never have to go through. We bought new because we believed we would have fewer issues (not true with this experience). If I had to do it over again I would pay more for a house of the same size built by a different builder then deal with Klair homes. Do you do diligence ask for them to provide 6 references and ask them how their dealings were on resolving agreed to deficiencies.
