Dear Sirs,First let me clarify a few thingsFirstly, the person involved did not purchase the tractor from usIt was used and was not under any type of warranty, as indicated on his Face book pageSecondly, there was not an appointment made for bay space for repair and no date was given for suchHe was told we would get a mechanic to spend some time to evaluate the problem since many people who are not mechanics bring us equipment with a pre "diagnosis" that are completely incorrectOur mechanics would never presume, this can be timely and costlyExpectations for immediate repair are na'ive considering the time of year and the fact that equipment is processed in the order that the work is receivedUnfortunately all bays were full when the piece of equipment arrivedWith tractors, bays may be held up for some time with tractors split waiting for partsMind you, this was dropped off on a Saturday when the back shop is closed and we are closed on Sunday as well When the call came in about the tractor, it had already been pulled into a bay awaiting the start of the tear down for an accurate evaluation of the problem and a clear idea of the necessary parts for the repairDamage could be small or catastrophic depending on what is found when taken apartThe tractor was pulled out of the bay at the customer's request just before actual work had startedThe customer apparently came and loaded the tractor and left without coming into the buildingThe bill for the evaluation and the mechanics time had never been paidThis is considered theft of servicesFor insurance and security purposes, any piece of equipment that leaves our trust without release is considered stolen property and (or) servicesThe events that unfolded were unfortunateWe have given dedicated service for over years in this communityOur services, however, are not free, and we do our best to get the work done as quickly as possibleIt is a stressful time of year, however, there is no excuse to respond to customer rudeness in the manner that our employee didWe have taken all steps to ensure that the customer experience is satisfactory every dayGreenville Saw is not in business "to rip off' anyoneI believe the customer has already been refunded his moneyI hope his expectation can be met elsewhereSincerely,Greenville Saw Service, Inc
