Complaint[redacted] vehicle from this dealer. I brought vehicle from this dealer. I was only given 30 days warranty on this vehicle. since then I have paid 540 for rotors, brakes alignment. I just recently took my car for an oil change. the mechanic informed me that I had a heavy seal leak and that this did not occur recently but over a period of time. I paid $5000 down on this car. I have called and spoke to the manager [redacted] several times. I feel that they needs to fix this car or else put me in something else. The car salesman [redacted] is a big liar also, because I was promised warranty after my 30 days. When I called to inquire about my warranty, I was told that if I wanted warranty, I would have to pay 2500 up front. All them there are liars and I want to be treated fairly. Desired Settlementfor my car to be fixed like it is supposed toBusiness Response The customer purchased the [redacted] on June 13, 2014. At the time of purchase the customer was given a Buyers Guide that the vehicle came with a limited thirty day warranty on the powertrain only. This would require that we would be responsible to cover fifty percent of the parts and labor should any repairs be needed on the motor or transmission only. The customer acknowledged by their signature the terms of this warranty. There are signs posted in all finance offices that all vehicles are sold as is unless the customer has a Buyers Guide that states otherwise. We also have a mechanic onsite where we offer a discounted labor and parts rate to any customers we finance. Said customer has never brought the vehicle into the shop. Further, all vehicles are Pre Delivery and NC Inspected prior to the sale. This vehicle was inspected by a third party and passed NC state inspection.

Purchased vehicle at the end of February. I have had vehicle a total of about 30 days since purchase. Service issues: timing belt, transmission etc.Purchased a suv at the end of February. Problem with steering column when purchased. Was told all issues would be taken care of and they didn't have time to look over the vehicle yet before sale. Vehicle ended up needing a new transmission, pcv system, timing belt with tensioners, numerous electrical issues and vehicle was returned to dealer with it needing yet another $1500 part. Vehicle was a lemon and would have never passed state inspection. Seat belts cut, tires bald, shuts off while driving. [redacted] and [redacted] promised several times to make the issue right, but never came through. Finance manager is extremely rude and even though all payments were made on time, she always has an attitude for no reason. You have to stay on them to get anything done, and it's never as promised. I was told when I purchased vehicle that everything would be fixed, or they would switch me to another vehicle but that was yet another broken promise. Very poor business practices and they take advantage of their customers. The vehicle is a [redacted]. I purchased the vehicle for much higher than nada value and with all of the safety flaws, it only put my family in danger, therefore the vehicle was surrendered voluntarily. The vehicle should have never been sold, it only puts lives in danger with it being on the road, as I told them numerous times but they just wanted their money. This purchase has been completely unacceptable from vehicle service, safety and customer service this place should not be in business. I am not happy that I tried to better my family but only ended up putting my hard earned money in somebody else's pockets.Desired SettlementI made a $2000 downpayment, and 4 monthly payments of $317. I also did all of the service work on the vehicle that needed done (over $2k in labor), other than the part it needed when turned in. I want my downpament refunded to me. This is only fair considering the headache, financial burden, putting my family's lives at risk and missed time from work. I also had to pay for numerous cab rides to get home due to how unreliable the vehicle was or having to leave it at their shop for weeks straight. Business Response Customer bought vehicle January 31st. Vehicle was acquired by [redacted] on 5/20/14. Vehicle had a NC State Inspection, that passed on 08/14/14. Said Vehicle also had a transmission installed by an outside auto shop, that came with a 6 month warranty before the NC State Inspection. Customer reported the problem within the 30 day limited warranty that was given him upon purchase of the vehicle. The limited warranty was a 50/50 warranty on powertrain. 50 percent paid by the customer, and 50 percent paid by [redacted] & Imports. Because we still had a warranty on the actual transmission still in effect, customer and [redacted] elected to have the outside shop replace the transmission at no cost to the customer (Could have cost the customer $1000, 50% of the cost). It did take a little while to get a transmission for his vehicle due to the Make and Model and mileage constraints upon the transmission. Customer requested for [redacted] and Imports to acquire parts for him to do some work on his own, while he waited for the new transmission to arrive. The parts totaled a little over $300. [redacted] paid for those parts for his trouble even though the limited warranty or sales agreement did not offer parts. We also indicated to the customer, that we would not be offering any extended warranty because of the parts or after putting another transmission in. Customer signed agreement 3/26/15, stating he agreed and understood we did not offer further warranties of any kind on the vehicle. Customer picked up the Vehicle on 3/26/15. [redacted] went above the warranty offered at the purchase of the car, trying to help the customer as much as possible and not cost the customer any further out of pocket money. We also offered a deferment on his May Payment. On top of that customer performed some of his own service work. His warranty expired on March 2, 2015. Customer has been driving vehicle since March 26, 2015, and then called us mid June about a transmission problem. The customer himself diagnosed the problem with the vehicle's manufacturer, and they told him it was an electronic module failing, not the transmission. Customer was offered to allow another outside shop to diagnose his new issue. Customer has not responded to offer, instead just said he would consult his lawyer. His limited warranty does not cover this new issue as well that the limited warranty expired March 2, 2015. [redacted] & Imports, did address his original complaint concerning a transmission issue, and replaced the transmission as well purchasing parts at customer request, and deferring a payment.

Vehicle purchased for 6 days need new motorI purchased this vehicle on 02/17/16 problem started on 02/22/16. I had a very nice salesman and I thought these people were nice. When I first went to the dealership and looked at the vehicle my boyfriend told the salesman that the stabilitrac and traction control was coming on. He also noticed it had bad tire and the salesman told him balance the tires and it will be fine. 5 days later unit was making a clunking sound I called the dealership because I was afraid to drive it. I had a mechanic look at the vehicle. The motor was bad. I had the vehicle a week!!!!! I called the dealership they told me nothing they could do because I purchased the vehicle as is. I feel like the dealership sold me the vehicle knowing it had a bad motor. They presented it as if nothing was wrong with it. The finance manager was very rude. I was hoping they would do the right thing. I offered to have it towed from my home to the dealership and the finance manager told me they can look at it but will not do any repairs. She also told me someone else was driving the unit for 60 days before I purchased it. How do I know that person didn't damage the motor? She was less than helpful. This dealership committed fraud by misrepresenting the vehicle as being in good condition.Desired SettlementI would like for the dealership to repair the vehicle I haven't made my first car payment and now I have to pay 3 or 4 thousand dollars for vehicle to be repaired.Business Response On Feb 17, 2016 Ms. [redacted] purchased the 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe from Greenville Sports & Imports. She was financed with [redacted] and paid for the vehicle in full at the time of purchase. Prior to the sale of the vehicle, the dealership exercised due diligence to prepare the vehicle for sale. The car was Pre Delivery Inspected, detailed, and NC Inspected. No issues were found with the vehicle. Before Ms. [redacted] took delivery of the vehicle she also test drove the vehicle herself. When Ms. [redacted] signed the paperwork she never expressed any information about having concerns or issues when she test drove the vehicle. Ms. [redacted] signed two documents that disclosed the vehicle was being sold AS IS. The first document was a Buyers Guide which is also displayed in the window of the vehicle. She initialed the front and signed the back of the document. She was also given the opportunity to purchase a warranty at time of sale and declined so therefore she signed an AS-IS Non-Guaranteed Used Vehicle Sold Without Warranty document stating again that there was no warranty coverage on the vehicle. Ms. [redacted] contacted our office and on Feb 23,2016 she came to the Greenville Sports and Imports office. At that time, we explained to her that she did not have a warranty and that we could not be responsible for repairs. On Feb 24, 2016 Ms. [redacted] spoke with another owner [redacted] and he agreed if she had the vehicle towed to [redacted] in Greenville that they could perform a diagnostic on the vehicle and determine the exact problem as Ms. [redacted] had already had a "friend mechanic" come to her home and look at the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to [redacted] on Thursday night Feb 25, 2016. At this time we have no further information. Greenville Sports and Imports is trying to help resolve the issue with the customer but we must also operate in the parameters set by DMV and we cannot imply warranty on a vehicle that was sold as is.More Info received From The ConsumerThe finance company spoke with the dealership and they agreed to pay for half of the repair which it was the lifters. The owner of the company wasn't that bad. I appreciate what he did but the finance manager at shopmycars.com is very rude and I would not go back here because of the experience she provided. Also the dealership stated I test drove the truck. That was not true I was told I could not test drive the unit I also did not refuse to get a warranty the finance manager misrepresented the facts. She never told me I was able to purchase an additional warranty on the vehicle.
