Greenway Kia West Palm Beach Reviews (%countItem)

Saw their website now "Greenway" Kia and a vehicle to purchase. I called to make sure they still had it, and that with any kind of credit a $500 would secure a loan for it. I asked a lot of questions so I wouldn't waste my time. When we got there instead of the 2013 Dodge on the website, we were shown a 2019 model. I asked the lady "That car is $7900?" She replied "Yes". Get inside and start doing paperwork I see a worksheet for over $14,000 and payments that are over $400. I got a little upset and asked about, and showed them their own ad on the website. I saw the lady walk over to the side door, and come back. She said the car was "in service". We never saw it. What we received, was a story about how a co-signer was needed. So in my mind, nothing they told me over the phone was true. Even when we got their, in my mind, they tried to get us excited about a much more expensive vehicle and get us to buy that one. Doesn't seem fair. I complained to a sales manager about how I thought we were lied to. He apologized but there was "nothing he could do". I warned him that he was getting this review.

Hi *** if you could please call us at XXX-XXX-XXXX and ask for *** so we can try to rectify this situation.

Home of the $6,000.00 trade.... yeah right. They have been using this bait and switch tactic for years. Online they plaster this slogan over the pics of every used and new vehicle. I remember looking for a vehicle about 7 years ago and they were still doing the same thing. Except when you inquire about the $6,000.00 trade in, you are told it only applies to the purchase of new vehicles only. So why is it plastered all over every picture of every used vehicle for sale online? I would personally call that false advertising. Our sales person responded as follows when asked about it,"We are In the process of updating our website to fix that problem." I then went back to my phone and looked up the screenshot I had saved awhile back to check how long they've been in this process.... I found I had a screenshot from auto trader saved on April 10, 2020 with their " home of the $6,000 trade ," again plastered all over a used vehicle. It is now May 14, and the website looks the same. Like I said they have been using this tactic for years and getting away with it. This is truly a slimy way to attract customers. I feel they should be made to honor their claims. We are looking into buying a car there but this tactic truly disgusts me. I will only be their customer if they stand behind their claims. I hope you look into this matter further please. I am test driving a vehicle there tomorrow, and would really love to see how this resolves itself.

First and foremost we want to apologize to Ms. Richards, our intentions are never to mislead a customer... In this instance Ms. Richards is taking our "slogan" literally... It is not intended to mislead anyone. Within the "Slogan" we have the standard (*) asterisk because we do not have space in the Slogan for a proper disclaimer. At the bottom of each page we have approved disclaimers. If Ms. has any questions that we did not address in the standard disclaimers she is welcome to contact me personally, *** XXX-XXX-XXXX is my cell.

Approved for a 2020 vehicle with 0-500 downpayment, payment of 250,they were rude, ran credit again w/o permission & didn't provide what was promied
My son applied for credit through the company(Greenway West Palm Beach Kia). We spoke to Sarah and was advised that my son was appoved for a 2020 Kia Soul or Kia Forte with $0-$500 down and a payment around $200/$250. Sarah advised both of us to come in with his recent check stubs, proof of address and pick which vehicle he wanted. We arrived at the dealer spoke with a saleman because Sarah had left for the day. My son explained to the salesman what had transpired with Sarah. The salesman wanted information like a new deal. My son explained to him again that he was advised he was already approved, to bring in the required documents and pick out a car. Then, the sales manger(Sal) came over and stated this information as for a hard copy and they are trying to retrieve the application and approval Sarah completed. My son provided them the information and advised them not to rerun his credit and the sales manager(Sal) stated "I promise you your credit *** not be reran without your permission". So my some provided the information and advised the sales me that he like the Kia Forte. The salesman left and returned and stated they feel that a Kia Rio would be better to be within his payment range and he want to let my son test drive. My son asked for the numbers before he test and the salesman stated "we want to make sure your comfortable with the car before we give you the numbers". My son test drove a 2020 Kia Rio. Upon returning from the test drive we wait about 30-45 minutes and the salesman came out with a Fair Credit Report and information from the bank. We asked why his credit w reran and they reported it wasn't. I advised the sales manager "how were you able to get a totally different approval from the bank and it was reported that you could not find Sarah approval without running his credit". The salesman blew off my question and presented the deal from the bank. The price for the car was suppose to be $15,732 according to their website but Kia had it priced for $24,000. My son advise the salesman the price was incorrect and he was promised something different and he want the deal he was promised. The salesman said he *** see what he could do to adjust the price and had my son agree to $300 a month and my son agreed. Then, the sales manager came over and said he can work on the price but my son's payments would be around $450-$500 buck. My son advised the sales manger he was promised something different he wanted the deal promised. The sales manager said there was no deal and Sarah is just Internet Sales. I can get your payments to $380 per month with more money down". I advised the sales manger that we have proof of the promise made, it not lawful for them to rerun his credit without permission, promise merchandise without providing the merchandise, luring consumer and then lie to the consumer". The sales manger stated "well we didn't lie". My son asked if he could get the deal he was promised with payments no more than $300 monthly or maybe seeing if another vehicle that would work for the deal. The sales manager left came back in 5 minutes and stated "we need a co-signer and then we left.

The sales manager refused to provide me his name or his title. When asked the sale manager said "my name is Sal, I don't have to give you my last name and im a manager". I have attached the phone conversation with Sarah

Desired Outcome

I would like the merchandise promised given, a formal apolology and a mark against their business file.

Please call me, I do not have a *** in my follow-up system and I do not see her sons name listed in the complaint. I assume the complaint is being made by the mother for the son? Please advise, Thanks

I leased an Optima SE in March of this year. I have been back several times to find out why my early lease turn in/trade in has not been paid off. I am told by Sal wait 2 to 3 days and still get the same from Kia finance. There is a 3,500 balance. If the car was paid off by Greenway why a balance? Tired of going back and forth 4 times especially with the Corona virus. My other issue is FCW and FCA does not work on my Optima. It is advertised to avoid pedestrians. No visual warning and no audible warning. The service manager Jarrod says it would have to be a very close call to a collision for it to alert me. That is not what is in Kia's advertising. So it seems to be a case of false advertising. My main issue is them paying off my 2018 early lease they took as a trade. I am ready to get the Revdex.com or an attorney from the V.A. as I am very frustrated at this stage. Would be great if you could help get some closure.

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I want my lease trade in paid off entirely as promised

to me

Please close the case. Manager Otto wa s very helpful.
Thankyou

We have a couple of issues against Greenway Kia. The first being lied to by an employee named Sarah who claimed she was in Sales and in fact works in the Internet Department but that is not all. I spoke with her by telephone and disclosed all of our information to her and explained how we did not want to come there and sit for hours and most importantly the purpose of trading in our current vehicle was to lower the monthly payment. We discussed if the way I was looking at the figures, involving my trade in, its value and the dealer discounts if I was on track with my thinking and she confirmed that I was. So she recommended doing the credit application online which would save us time which I did. She would then present it to the Manager and get back to me. We communicated by phone and text. I received a text later and she said the Manager said everything looked good but of course to finalize etc. we would need to go there. I asked who we should ask for she texted back 'Sarah'. Within an hour we were there.

When we arrived we asked for Sarah. We were told she works in the Internet Department we never saw her or spoke to her when we arrived or anytime during our visit. We were introduced to 'Michael? who was our Salesman. He asked us to do the credit application which I explained that I had already done that on line. He expressed that we needed to do it again because of mishaps that sometimes happen. So we did that again, which made me think that 'Sarah? was lying there because she supposedly showed everything to the manager. However, Michael was very accommodating. He showed us a couple of vehicles we were interested in and he expressed how we would probably get good incentives on the one vehicle that we were interested in and so we asked him to proceed with getting the 'Offer'. He did so and within less than 5 minutes, which is not the norm it usually takes longer, the manager 'Sal? walked over and began talking about the weather etc. We expressed that we wanted to get on with the so called 'Offer'. This is when he totally insulted mine and my husband's intelligence. He did not explain how they came to these ridiculous 'Offers'. We believe after we thought it over, that they would have made no money off of our deal because we chose a vehicle that after dealer discounts and the other $6000 above what we owed on our current vehicle (which is what they were offering) they were not going to make a sizable profit so they came up with these ridiculous offers which included payments of over $1000 with additional $4000, $3000 or $2000 down payment depending on what offer you chose. All payments were over $1000. We expressed more than once that we were looking to lower our monthly payment of $600. No one with the slightest of common sense would go for these offers and they knew it and so this was their way of dismissing us and getting us out of there. This whole scenario involves 'false advertising'.

We were very upset to be treated this way. They do not care about customer satisfaction.

I would never recommend them to anyone. They are scam artist's to say the least.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) Something needs to be done regarding discrimination. In effect we were discriminated against because they were not going to make money from our deal. Lying to customers to lure them in. We never want them to contact us again with their so called "Offers".

Ms. Varnich,
First and foremost, I regret to read that you felt mislead or mistreated by anyone at Greenway Kia West Palm Beach. Hopefully all of our customers and or prospective customers are treated in a professional and respectful manner.
I have reviewed each of the contacts between you and *** and I truly believe that she gave you reliable information based on your conversations. When you arrived at the dealership your trade was evaluated and your payoff was higher than the value of your trade. (see attached) With your inequity added to the loan it moved your payments from the amount you were anticipating to the payment you were given by the salesperson / Manager. Unfortunately, we have no control over the amount owed to your bank to pay-off your trade / loan.
Again, I am truly sorry for any misunderstandings.

Greenway Kia - West Palm Beach

Incorrect loan agreement monthly payment and loan length.
Failure to payoff the traded in car Toyota Corolla 2017.
On 12/27/2020 I bought a new Kia Forte at this dealership (VIN Number 3kpf34ad5leXXXXXX). The salesman was Dangelo Larodensky Pierre and the person giving me the final price was Andrew. Andrew and I signed a document where it said that the monthly payment was $380, with a pre-payment of $800 which *** go towards the 1st payment of the loan term and other fees (registration, title, etc).

By the time I signed the loan contract, the Financial Manager, Ms. Laura Herreno, added (on purpose) different extra services to my loan agreement despite me having repeatedly declined them. Not only didn't she explain the documents I was signing, but she also misled me at the time of signing them. She explained me about the GAP warranty, saying "the good thing about Kia is that it comes with an extra warranty". To what I replied, if it is included, it is fine". She went on trying to sell me other services, and I refused them (in the same way I have declined these extra services with Mr. Andrew and Mr. Dangelo). Ms. Herreno made me sign a paper for the GAP warranty. After that, she showed me the lower part of another paper saying that it was the same GAP warranty again. I didn't know at that time that I was signing the loan agreement in the amount of $429 and 75 payments because she covered this information with the folded upper part of the document.

After that, she told me to go to the cashier to proceed with the payment. When they gave me a receipt saying that I was making a downpayment, I went back to her to complain because the agreement signed with Mr. Andrew was that the $800 was for other purposes, and I couldn't see that in writing. At this point, Ms Herreno told me that she would talk to Mr. Andrew the following day and she would make sure that I got what I had been promised.

When she told me I was done, I got confused and asked her if I wasn't getting copies of the documents signed, and she replied that I *** get them on the mail. When I refused to leave without a copy of the documents ,she ended up printing another yellow paper and making me sign again.

Unfortunately I didn't read all the papers in detail after next a couple of days later when I was at my home. When I saw the mistake she had made, I returned to the dealership to try to speak with Ms. Herreno, but she was not available until Saturday 01/04/2020.

On this date, she apologized saying that it had all been a misunderstanding. She also expressed clearly that they always include all extra services and clients can cancel them later on if they don't want them. She made me fill a document for the cancelation of these services. When I asked for a copy, she said they didn't give copies to customers. I also had to ask her to sign this document, because she didn't want to do it. I ended up taking a picture of this document for my records.
Finally I told her that I had traded in my old car, the Toyota Corolla 2017, and that the yellow document said the contrary. She answered that it was the way they wrote it, because it wasn't a trade-in. I disagreed with her saying that they had promised to take care of all the remaining fees of this car.

My surprise came a couple of weeks later when Toyota Finance starting asking me for the due fees. I also found out that the Toyota Corolla was not returned until 01/22/2020, despite Mr. Dangelo promising me that he took it to Toyota dealership on 12/31/2020.

For the last 4 weeks I have been calling constantly Ms. Herreno to solve these two issues, but she never returned my phone calls. I left plenty of VM. I sent her many emails requesting a copy of all my documents. She has ignored me. I went to see her on 02/01/2020, and she blamed her Accounting Department. She promised to give me a solution by Monday, 02/03/2020. She never called me back and she is not replying to my emails.

As of today, Toyota Finance hasn't received the due fees and Kia Finance hasn't been informed of any update on my loan agreement account.

Desired Outcome

I just want this dealership to pay off all due fees for my Toyota Corolla 2017 and to update my loan agreement for the Kia Forte in the amount of $395 and 74 remaining payments.

We have been in close communication with Ms. Guzman for the last several days and working on a resolution to this problem.

Unfortunately, I can't close the complaint because one of the issues hasn't still been solved definitely. Mr. Otto Pena was really very helpful and he looked into the matter. They ended up offering me to void the current loan agreement and doing another one with no irregularities and the corresponding monthly payment. These two transactions were done with Mr. Ronnie Whilte on 0303/06/2020. This information was sent to Kia Motors Finance, but as of today, nothing has been updated in my account with this Finance. I am still waiting for a confirmation email from Kia Finance in which they formally communicate Mr. White that the appropriate documentation has been received and that they are in the process of updating my account. However, it's been 19 days, and my account still has a pending payment, with extra late fees. I am afraid that this can have a negative impact on my Credit Score.
I *** be willing to close the complaint once I can get a written confirmation that the first contract has been voided and that I only have one loan contract with Kia Motors Finance.

Greenway Kia West Palm Beach Response • Apr 08, 2020

I still don't have access to the new loan account. Old account seems to be void, but I can't make any payment (which was due on 04/10/2020), and I don't know if all the payment from the old account were transferred to the new one. Kia Finance refused to give Mr Otto the new account number, even if I was on the other line. Every time I call Kia Finance, or they know nothing about my case, or they disconnect me saying that at this moment the system is down. It's been almost 4 months now with this situation. It is frustrating!

Customer Response • Apr 21, 2020

I would like to close the complaint against Greenway Kia dealership.
Yesterday, 04/20/2020, I finally received the letter from Kia Finance with the new account number. I was able to make my due payment, although they are charging me Late Fee, which is not my fault. However, I understand that Greenway Kia did their job and right now it is Kia Finance's negligence.
The Toyota payoff was also paid by Greenway Kia.

Posted car is available online called spoke to sales person (*** ran credit was approved then told car was sold that morning and they have other cars available

Desired Outcome

Correction to a credit report credit bureau remove the inquiries

Greenway Kia West Palm Beach Response • Aug 16, 2019

Mr. was interested in purchasing a 2007 Pontiac Solstice with 195000 miles on it. He completed an application on line. We have contacted all 3 credit bureau's and requested that they remove any and all of Mr. information pertaining to this application.

I received a flyer with a scratch off prize offered. When I scratched off it appeared that I won a 50" tv. I Did not win.
I received a scratch off advertisement from Kia, I scratched off and then saw I won a 50" flat screen tv. I read over everything and could not see the scam. So I went to collect my TV. When I got there it became apparent that this is a data mining scheme and I did not win a tv. I won 5$., there was a stack of so called winning brochures on the desk at the dealership all for winnng a TV. When I received the 5$ a guy pulled out a wad of 5's and I got one. It was numbered in marker #173. That indicates that so far 173 people fell for it and the promotion has just begun. Ultimately thousands could be effected and persons with low financial education fall prey to this scheme. A quick google search has revealed this tactic has been used by Kia and other dealerships in other states until it was shut down by the attorney general or other entities. I would request that this campaign is stopped right away and for Kia to issue a public statement explains the scam. All data collected by the scam needs to be deleted so Kia does not profit off of this type of advertisement. I would like my 50" TV as well. I was not a big fan of Kia prior to this. And now with these tactics being used could never trust a company that engages in this kind of a scheme. It is wrong on so many levels. I am an educated consumer and still fell for this as it is predatory and completely deceptive.

Desired Outcome

I would request that this campaign is stopped right away and for Kia to issue a public statement explaining the scam. All data collected by the scam needs to be deleted so Kia does not profit off of this type of advertisement. I would like my 50" TV as well.

KIA removed my data from their database, discontinued the ad campaign, and provided me with a 50" HDTV as my scratch off asserted I had won. Please withdraw the complaint.

West Palm Beach Kia attempted to pull the old "bait and switch." We called the dealership about a particular vehicle, and the dealership said it was available and on the lot. So we scheduled an appointment to come by later that day. After driving 90 minutes to test drive that particular vehicle, the dealership told us the vehicle was already gone and had been gone since before we called and scheduled our appointment. "Sorry. A potential buyer took it home last night to test it out, but we have some other great cars we'd like to show you." Not only was this dealership incredibly disrespectful of our time, but it outright lied to us. Avoid at all costs.

If you know whats good for you AVOID this dealership.
We went to buy my son a car yesterday. The head salesman *** made a deal and gave us a price on 2017 Kia Sport, we were approved via KIA financing at a certain interest rate. and just when we were ready to sign the papers *** tells us the manager who was not even on property told him to raise the interest rate 1 point cause they were selling the car to cheap. They wanted us to walk out cause they were originally offering dealer invoice but then didn't want to let the car go for that price.

At that point I contacted a salesman by phone at Gunther Kia in fort lauderdale and they told us to come there and he would get us the car we wanted and they would either match or beat West Palm Kia's price and they could put us in a 2018 Kia Sport with more options. Well we drove to fort lauderdale and drove home in a 2018 Forte sport at an even better interest rate. This is the second time West Palm Kia screwed us but we made out this time. DONT DEAL WITH WEST PALM KIA.
