On February [redacted] the complainant dropped off items including the jacketWhen the complainant realized the price to clean the coat she decided not to clean itAfter a few minutes she changed her mind and decided to go ahead and get it cleanedIn case the complainant refutes this claim we have it on videoThen on February [redacted] the complainant calls in the morning at a time we do not recall but we're able to tell that for sure it was not at 7:30AM like the complainant claimsWhen she called and expressed to us that she didn't want it cleaned because it was expensive [redacted] proceeded to walk to the back of the store of the store to see if we're able to find her jacket and pull it outThis is not the first time a customer had requested this and of course if we are able to, we do pull it outUnfortunately, when she called her jacket was already in the machine [redacted] then told her that it is too late your jacket is already in the machineJust note we don't clean the clothes on the day that it is dueWe actually clean them in advance and do quality check and then press it on the day that it is dueWe also clean dark clothing first, which her brown jacket isUpon telling her that it is too late as her jacket is already in the machine, her demeanor changed and became combative over the phoneUnfortunately this can only be hear say as we don't record conversations over the phone, but we have on video the day [redacted] received her call, [redacted] walking to the back of the store talking with the person that cleans the clothes to look for her jacketShe then told [redacted] that she is not going to pay for the jacket and that he can keep it, [redacted] then responded by saying he's not going to keep it in turn she says throw it out thenIf he recalls correctly he asked her if she was sure? [redacted] has been in this industry long enough to know that arguing with a customer is not going to get him anywhere and as for him hanging up on her, we're sorry that is completely because the whole time the complainant berated [redacted] over the phone he remained calm and collectedMay *, the complainant came to the facility to drop of a few items and to pay for her clothing in the store to have deliveredShe asked me [redacted] if her total balance included the brown jacketHe said he doesnt have a brown jacket, you told hims to dispose of itShe responded with she didn't think that we would actually throw it awayIf the complainant was concerned about her jacket shouldn't she have checked on it sooner and not months laterNote how on her complaint she did not specify when she dropped off her jacketBut we have everything on record and as a matter of fact her jacket hasn't been "disposed" ofIt is in our donation section in the basement of our facilityIn regards to her duvet cover, we do not offer refunds we only offer a of work as stated by our RETURN POLICY posted on the wallShe is more than welcome to call the store and pay for her jacket and have it delivered and if she chooses to get her duvet cover re-pressed we will gladly do soAs for her request not dealing with "nasty and abusive" ***, she can request to speak to the other counter [redacted] As for the complainant SLANDERING [redacted] on this complaint and on her review on ***, we can easily get 0f our customers who are more than willing to tell you otherwise on how [redacted] treats his customersReally quite unfortunate that [redacted] is not able to check facts before allowing a disgruntled consumer to write a review [redacted] [redacted]

I'll begin by saying that it is such a shame to have to write a negative review about a business because of person The owner of the business and most of the workers except for Joey, are friendly, helpful, and professional After living in NYC for years, I've experienced all kinds of personalities in customer serviceI used Greenwich Cleaners briefly, just a couple of times to give them the benefit of the doubt But Joey proved to be one of the nastiest people I have ever come across in customer service I've asked other neighbors/customers about him to see if I was the only one having a negative experience with him Turns out a lot of people have switched to other cleaners in the neighborhood because of him Although I know how important details are in painting a better picture of someone, I will only say that this is the first time in my life I have felt compelled to write a review about ANYONE- positive or negative That is how strongly I feel about this Joey But to get a better idea of some of the horrors this person has done, just read some of the Yelp reviews on him I hope my review simply brings attention to how his poor performance and general lack of respect for customers' belongings and personal details; negatively affects the business I apologize for not sharing greater details about my experience with him He has been known to take personal vengeance and I fear he may do the same with me I am not sure how Revdex.com reviews work since I've never written one But Joey is not mentally fit for his current position, nor is he to be trusted with customers' personal details or property He goes unchecked since the owner of the business does not speak English and is most certainly blind to the day to day operations I do hope this matter is resolved fairly and justly The rest of the staff is kind and hardworking

this response from the Greensich cleaners proves how shady and unprofessional they are Regarindg the jacket, if the jacket was on premises in the donation bin in the basement, why did *** tell me that he threw out the jacket On May *** when I came in to pick it up???? Why did he refuse to give me my jacket It seems malicious of the cleaners to tell me they threw it out and then after filing the complaint state they have it in the basement Does any of this make sense to you? If I could have paid for my jacket on May *** like I wanted to why would I go through this Revdex.com complaint Very unprofessional, it goes to show you how they are playing games and they have no integrity at this business I would like my jacket back however, after everything I have gone through I feel it should be returned to me,as is, because I will need to have it re-cleaned since it has been siting in a donations bin in the basement after three months, agree or disagree? As far as the duvet cover I would like my money back or a credit, I most certainly do not trust this business after they lied to me about my personal property I would like the jacket return to me at my address they have on file and they can leave it with the doorman and I would like a credit or my money return to me for the duvet cover Again would you trust them with your clothing/ personal belongings after going through this? Review: I brought in my short jacket to have it dry cleaned,on saturday at 4:47PM, (store closes at 5pm on sat.) I asked if they could just dry clean the lapel where I spilled coffee on it, as the coat was just cleaned, they said they could not. They gave me my ticket and a pick up date for Wednesday after 5pm. The cost was 30.00. on my way home I ran into a friend who told me she just had a jacket cleaned for much cheaper 17.00 . When I got home at 5:15 I called the store but they did not pick up nor do they have an answering machine. They are closed on sundays. so I called first thing monday morning when I woke up @ 7;30 to ask them to pull my jacket from the racks, as I do not want it dry cleaned any longer I found a place that would charge me less. [redacted] said he could not do that , as it was already being cleaned . I said well take it from the machine as it is because I do not want you to clean it, he said it was too late and hung up on me. I could not understand this as the jacket was not slotted to be ready for pick up until Wednesday? Now on Monday at 7:30 it was ready. So I did nothing. I dropped off a duvet cover to be pressed and pick up for this saturday. When I went in the store to pick up my cleaning all of it. My coat was not there, [redacted] said he threw it out, because I told him to throw out the jacket. Now why would I tell him to throw out a perfectly good warm expensive jacket, I felt violated. that he would take it upon him self to just throw out my expensive jacket.? He satrted arguing with me in the store and said to me in front of other customers well you only come in here once every six months, and I said well I just paid you 113.00 for dry cleaning and you threw out my personal property. My duvet cover which I paid 25.00 to have "just ironed" was not ironed property there are wrinkles in the entire cover, and I paid him the 25.00 for service which was not done.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for my jacket that he threw out and I would like a 25.00 refund for my duvet cover that was not properly pressed as agreed upon. I have the duvet cover still in the bag and have pictures of the wrinkles all over the cover. I don't want to have any dealing with this man [redacted], as he is nasty and abusive and does not know how to speak to customers.
