This is in response to the complaint issued by [redacted].
As I read through her complaint, she has totally misrepresented her situation on this project. This is how the project started and where it is now.
Her insurance company and I met at her house and decided to move...
forward with the dry out process before any contract was drawn up. The next day we started the dry out process with humidifiers and fans along with drywall and insulation removal. Then we met again with the insurance company after the tear out process of the cabinetry and flooring and this was all done before the signing of the contract, along with moving all of her belongings out to a storage pod in her driveway. We were on that job everyday as she finally sent us a signed proposal in the mail with a down payment of $5,000.00 dollars which was on June 6th.
I allowed to her purchase her own floor for her to save money. Meanwhile the flooring came in and I told her that we needed a floating floor system not a glue down system like she had purchased. She insisted that we install the glue down floor that she had purchased and insisted that I buy the glue and at that point I decided that I would move forward to keep her happy. Meanwhile before all of that I redid her bathroom without a contract. We finished the bathroom within a week and then returned to flooring installation.
[redacted] has been persistent and acting as project manager since the second week on the job. I have tried to appease her every wish. We also had our cabinet people out at the project the second week of starting the project and she could not make a decision on what type of cabinets she wanted. I told her it would be a 3 to 4 week delivery and she told me she was going to take over ordering the cabinets herself. So at this time we finished up everything we could and we installed the flooring as per her request. The flooring that we installed that she purchased has now cupped and buckled. Now we have found that there is excessive moisture in the house which the source of has not been determined yet. We have ordered a moisture test with a Certified Flooring Inspector who will turn over the results this week for us to determine when the house will be a suitable environment for the installation of stranded bamboo floating floor system. We have bought new flooring for this project out of company funds and are attempting to install it if the conditions permit. At this time I addressed every issue that could have possibly been an issue in this project. The time issue on this project has been nothing but [redacted] acting as her own project manager. The cabinet order that she took control of just came in last Wednesday September 3rd. Now with that being said how can there be a time issue when she took me off the cabinet ordering process 2 months ago?
The cabinets are now installed. We are awaiting the moisture content results from her concrete floor before we install a new floor system.
I am trying to finish up this project as I do with all of my projects with total customer satisfaction. In my efforts, my hope is that she will pull back her totally unwarranted complaint as I do not deserve a complaint like this put out to my Revdex.com rating.
