In response to the Greg Lee Construction answer to the Revdex.com regarding this complaint, I would like to offer these final comments: The Greg Lee Construction response is filled with half-truths which is unfortunateAt this point, I seek no further remedy from Greg Lee Construction, but I do feel it is critical that this file be available for prospective customers of Greg Lee Construction to viewUpon noticing a wet spot in my living room ceiling that Greg Lee’s team later attributed to their own shoddy workmanship, moisture resulting from removing and installing a roof vent cap while installing a new roof, that inadvertently dislodged the attic HVAC ducting resulting in condensation moisture building in the attic until it finally found its way to the living room ceiling, it is important to recognize the following:aThe initial complaint to Greg Lee Construction was met with profanity, excuse making, claims of other causes and complete deniability before any timely investigation of the problem.bThe only reason the Greg Lee team came out to investigate and honor my claim was due to pressure exerted by GAF, the supplier of roofing materials from whom I bought an all-inclusive warranty.cSubsequent discussions with Greg L [redacted] have only resulted in more profanity and excuses from Greg even though his team and GAF accepted the claim as legitimate shoddy workmanshipIn conclusion, I would hope than any prospective customer of Greg Lee Construction not only buy an all-inclusive Warranty to protect themselves, but ask themselves if they want to become involved with a contractor who does not stand behind his work and greets complaints with profanity and excusesOf course, the answer is “no”I have over thirty years of professional purchasing management experience in manufacturing and public education, and in my opinion, as a vendor/contractor, Greg Lee Construction is “bad news” and should be avoidedTo-Date, this firm has reviews on [redacted] ***, and of (40%) are graded “D”

January 16, 2017Re: Revdex.com Complaint ID [redacted] To Whom It May Concern:This is response to the complaint against Greg Lee Construction through the Revdex.com.This customer contracted Greg Lee Construction to install a new roof back in the summer of The job was done successfully and without event. The office received a phone call and an urgent email from this upset customer on a Saturday, 1/7/ Please note that on this date the whole city of Portland and all surrounding suburbs was experiencing inclement weather; snow and ice People were advised to stay home and off the streets On Saturday, 1/7/17, I explained to the customer that his roof was not leaking and this was not a roof issue There was snow on the roof and it wasn’t raining To me, because of my 20+ years of experience in the roofing industry, this was some kind of venting issue Because of the inclement weather, it looked like I could not send our foreman over until Tuesday morning The customer, again, was extremely upset about this. Our foreman arrived Tuesday morning, 1/10/17, and did find that the roof was not leaking It was a bathroom vent that was not connected to the outside of the house He resolved this with duct tape.We find this customer extremely unreasonable given the ice and snow storm, especially with the fact that this had nothing to do with the roof that we installed over the summer We still addressed the vent problem for him at no charge and offered to return for a more permanent solution. We were extremely shocked to even find a complaint of this nature in the mail this morning. Please dismiss this complaint and find that Greg Lee Construction did indeed act in good faith and did everything we could to reasonably and responsibly resolve this issue.Sincerely,GREG L** GREG LEE CONSTRUCTION

1. The Greg Lee Construction response is filled with half-truths which is unfortunate.2. At this point, I seek no further remedy from Greg Lee Construction, but I do feel it is critical that this file be available for prospective customers of Greg Lee Construction to view.3. Upon noticing a wet spot in my living room ceiling that Greg Lee’s team later attributed to their own shoddy workmanship, moisture resulting from removing and installing a roof vent cap while installing a new roof, that inadvertently dislodged the attic HVAC ducting resulting in condensation moisture building in the attic until it finally found its way to the living room ceiling, it is important to recognize the following:a. The initial complaint to Greg Lee Construction was met with profanity, excuse making, false claims of other causes and complete deniability before any timely investigation of the problem.b. The only reason the Greg Lee team came out to investigate and honor my claim was due to pressure exerted by GAF, the supplier of roofing materials from whom I bought an all-inclusive warranty.c. Subsequent discussions with Greg L** have only resulted in more profanity and excuses from Greg even though his team and GAF accepted the claim as legitimate shoddy workmanship.4. In conclusion, I would hope than any prospective customer of Greg Lee Construction not only buy an all-inclusive Warranty to protect themselves, but ask themselves if they want to become involved with a contractor who does not stand behind his work and greets complaints with profanity and excuses. As of January 10, I wish to withdraw my formal complaint [redacted] against Greg Lee Construction. On January 10, Greg Lee Construction did send two workers to our house to fix the problem, and we believe at this time the problem has been solved.  Time will tell. There is no doubt this only...

occurred because we filed a Warranty claim with GAF for poor workmanship and they immediately put pressure on Greg L** to solve the problem. And, while there was no  excuse for Greg L** to hang up on me when the problem was reported, and while there have been other communication issues that would cause me to NOT recommend this contractor to anyone, the roof leak problem appears to have been fixed, and some would argue within a reasonable time.Thank you,[redacted]
