The contractor accidentally dropped the old sewer cap and some asphalt down our sewer pipe. Sewage is now backing up into our basement regularly. We had to hire a plumber to try to flush it out but it is stuck. We may have to dig up the driveway to get it out which will result in having to replace a perfectly good pipe. They also used plastic instead of metal on the 2nd pipe vent & we noticed it cracked when they packed the asphalt when we looked into the pipe using the 2nd vent. They said they would use metal pipes. We tried to contact them to get help via phone, email, letter & registered letter. No response. We have raw sewage and sewage smells in our basement constantly. We had to hire a plumber to video the pipe and the cap & asphalt are clearly seen. We hired them to try to flush it out but it is now wedged in place further down the line.
