Gregg's Pool Works Reviews (4)

I have read the complaint from Ms. [redacted]. I have learned that she has also filed a complaint against the plaster company and has called an expert in from the plaster council.
Yesterday, I had a conversation with the person who did the initial start up of the [redacted] pool and plaster (her...

neighbor). He admitted to her that he messed up the startup. Although my company did service the pool for one year after the startup, she did not complaint about the condition of the plaster while under our care. Now 2 1/2 years later, the pool looks terrible and she wants my company to pay for sanding the plaster even though she has been maintaining (adding chemicals) the pool for the past 2 1/2 years.
I have read the report from the plaster expert and I have reviewed his water chemistry readings. It is clear that the water is out of balance. This has nothing to do with my company we stopped servicing the pool 2 1/2 years ago. The condition of Ms. [redacted]'s pool is a result of poor water balance over time not from just the first year.
I have also learned that Ms. [redacted] is one that cannot be satisfied. I honestly feel that my company is not to blame for the plaster issues she is having. As much as I would like to help her, I cannot do anything to help her as this puts the liability on my company.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I agree to all of the terms above as stated in Gregg's letter. Thank you Gregg for doing the right thing by covering half of the cost to diamond sand our pool. Good customer service should be practiced by all businesses, if it were, there wouldn't be a need for Revdex.com. I thank you again for stepping up and taking care of the problem.Sincerely,[redacted]

Review: Gregg's pool work was hired in February 2016 to complete some pool repairs, electrical work, and relocate a gas line. Gregg was hired through [redacted] to complete these repairs. We were told by Gregg this would be a two day job. Over 2 months later work is still not complete. [redacted] forced us to sign finance documents prior to job being completed. Gregg was paid $4781.08 through [redacted] on April 5th. So he was paid in full and then quit the job as soon as they found out they were being paid by [redacted]. We were sent a letter by email from Gregg stating the [redacted]bag was quitting and was refusing to complete the agreed work. He stated in his lying opinion that all work had been completed with the exception of completing the wiring on the spa. He even sent a copy of a $200 check he was going to reimburse to finish the spa. A check that has never been mailed or received by us. It was just another scam and lie for him. We sent Gregg a letter by email on or around April 7th in which we listed all items that were still not completed in addition to the electrical wiring on the spa. Like the [redacted] he is he never responded to the letter. He only sent a text to my husband calling us an abortion. We have given this lying [redacted] every opportunity to do the right thing and either reimburse us for all work not done, or to comeback and complete it. He has chosen to do neither. He has never provided proof that the pool passed any pressure test after repairs were completed. We paid $400 to have the pool pressure tested and received no proof that the repairs they did have led us to believe that the repairs were done correctly. The water feature, pool skimmer and auto fill have never been tested to see if they were install correctly and are in fact working. Trenches were dug and never refilled. Parts of the pool were removed and never replaced. Gregg was upset because his incompetent worker moved a gas line to close to the fence and we told him it was done wrong leading it to fail county inspection.Desired Settlement: Gregg was paid in full for work not completed. We are asking for immediate reimbursement of $2000 for work not completed. We will also be filing a complaint with the [redacted] and civil action to include attorney costs in this matter is not immediately resolved to our satisfaction. We also demand a formal written apology.

Response:

Hi, All work at this location has been done. EXCEPT the $200 spa hook up. We did mail them a $200 check. All lines have been pressurized- The permit- You can call the County and you can see the rough electrical and gas line was signed off by the county officer that it meet code. The county has that on- file and the Walkers have it written on their permit. The Skimmer is completely set and properly installed. The sheer decent is brand new and installed properly. All electrical was signed off on and all electrical conduit is installed. We pressure tested pool and we fixed all leaks. All of my techs, have been verbally harassed and none of them feel comfortable going back on their property. We have called the police ([redacted]) they called the [redacted]s as well. We also notified [redacted] and [redacted]’s [redacted], that they have continually harassed us from their work emails etc. We do have an attorney and we are awaiting for them to do whatever they feel they need to do. We have a very strong case. We did everything we could for these people. Please keep in mind that they signed our documents and they signed the funding documents through [redacted]. We will NOT send them a refund of $2k. That is not an option. We will fight them in court! [redacted] sided with us. We just got paid for this job today. They disputed the bill and [redacted] said this job has been completed as to what the invoice stated. The [redacted] contact is [redacted] Please keep in mind that we are the 5th contractor to pull from this house. I am also going to send you pictures of the job site.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:Like in previous complaints Gregg like the [redacted] he is blames everything on the customer. He has harassed us calling us names. He has contacted and harassed us at work. Yes the lying [redacted] was paid in full and took the money and ran. We had no choice but to complete the [redacted] paperwork and filed a complaint with [redacted]. He never mailed a check and even if he did we do not accept his resolution of $200. We were lied to and taken advantage of this [redacted] because he saw an easy payday with us knowing we just got screwed over by another contractor. He has no integrity and is nothing but a lying [redacted]. He has offered no proof of anything he has said. No proof work was completed at all and even admits he quit. No proof pool was pressure tested. No proof anything he installed is even functioning correctly. He left our property with open trenches he refused to fill in and trying to say we were going to have a landscaper filled in. That is just another lie of his. Why would we have someone else do what he was paid to do. He tries to bully and threaten people and brags about it. We will not accept the $200 from this [redacted]. We gave him every opportunity to resolve this civility and professionally. He refused to cooperate and call us an abortion. We are more than happy to take this to court. He offers no proof of anything only his lying word which does not mean a darn thing. This poor excuse of a man is a lying [redacted] and we are going to push this matter as far as it needs to go. Now we will seek attorney costs. His word means nothing show us proof! We have pictures we are supplying to the [redacted] of proof of his shoddy work. We are going to continue to post negative reviews about him. We will continue to warn others of him. If he feels he has a strong case based upon his lies go ahead. No we will not be nice about this. We are sick of being taken advantage of [redacted] contractors ripping people off. He has previous complaints with the [redacted] and Revdex.com. We were fooled by this [redacted], but we will not allow him to bully us. [redacted] is flagging him for what he has done and we have escalated complaints about him to the corporate office. That is fine he does not want to resolve this matter and wants to escalate it. We will take him to court and now we seek attorney costs. We want this complaint to remain on file. No matter how many times he and his dirt bag [redacted] calls us or drives by our house we will not be bullied by him. He is a thief and a liar! We will seek a restraining order against for harassing us at work. We have already filed a police report on him for harassment.

Review: In May of 2011, we had our pool refinished. We hired Gregg's Pool to service our pool each week. This involves testing the water and adding chemicals to the pool, in order to maintain all of the balances correctly. In June of 2012, we started noticing the finish changing colors, different pattern shapes were appearing on the bottom of the pool. We brought it to the attention of the pool company that re-finished our pool and Gregg's Pool. Neither one had a solution to the problem, and blamed the chemicals for the problem. We didn't know what to do at the time. Now, I started to get to the bottom of it, since the problem has grown worse. I found that the finish had no defects, and it was the chemicals that were being put in by Gregg's Pool that caused the damage. Now, that I know the true cause of the damage, I want Gregg's to pay for the diamond sanding and polishing that needs to be done to correct the problem. Ask to look at their records they keep from their "factory trained and certified technicians."Both technicians were fired at that time. We took over our own chemicals and found in fact Gregg's neglected to provide the service of maintaining our pool water, which in turn caused all of the damage to the surface of our pool. I have a quote for the work that needs to be done, $2100. We did not damage our Pool, Gegg's is clearly liable here. We trusted the professionals in the business, and ended up with a damaged pool. The resolution, Gregg's takes accountability and diamond sands and polishes my pool to correct discoloration damage from the chemicals.Desired Settlement: Sand and polish our pool as recommended by Applied Material's inspector. The cost $2100. We had no responsibily for what happened.

Response:

I will consider Ms [redacted]'s request of splitting the bill to sand the plaster on the pool only and only if before any work is done she signs a release of liability to my company and the plaster company. She will also have to agree that regardless of how the plaster looks after the work has been done she cannot engage in any other recourse of this matter including writing a bad review in any review source such as Revdex.com, Yelp, Google or Angie's list. I will hire the company to do the work and she will pay half the bill $1050 in advance, as she stated she would do.I stated in my first response that the condition of her pool currently is not due to the service we provided 2 1/2 years ago. I would also ask that she purchase her pool supplies from another pool company.Thank you for your consideration in this matter.Gregg SampleGregg's Pool Works, Inc
