Response taken over the phone: ? This was originally an emergency repair when a tree fell on the customer's house? At first we did what we had to do to secure the house? We had scheduled the rest of the work, when the consumer asked us to hold off because he wanted some additional work done? I will contact him to set a schedule to complete this work

Started job 3-1-16, promised a two week completionContractor was often late or no show without any communication with usWhen I would text or call to see where he was he would tell me a situation came up and he couldn't make it.Contractor is stating he didn't know walls would be load bearing, Please see proposal, it is stated that walls may be load bearing ELECTRIC: The electrical job was done by helpers who didn't have a clue about electric, Contractor was not here to give directionWhen contractor showed he did repair some of the electric, a few days after there was no power front of house or porch, contractor finally came back to check and said wires were loose and crossed at installationContractor brought switches and outlets, as of March they still sat in box and we were left almost weeks with live wires sticking out of walls, we paid an electrician to come and install, good thing we didContractor should not take on jobs involving electricity if they are not experiencedSee attached receipt DRYWALL: The drywall and ceiling repairs did not turn out well, not up to our standards WINDOWS: agreed to four windows with grids (to match existing windows in home) Original measure date for windows was February 17th, windows came in w/o grids, as of April 20th I was told that the window would be in soon, but they are again w/o gridsI do not want the"wrong" windows installed with a promise of changing them when "right" one's come in.HEATING: Thermostat was wired wrong when moved by contractorThe fan ran for days and then we were left w/o heat the weekend of March 11th until March 14th when *** Heating came to checkThe central air is not working and will be checked on May 16thSee Attached invoice PAINTING: Painting was started and not finished, if customer did not paint it would not have been doneWhen contractor did paint he left trim a mess and closed closet doors while paint was wet causing all door frames to be covered in paintPainted over large screw in wall, customer had to patch and repaint.Bottom line is contractor treated this job as a fill in, we were told several times they needed to complete larger jobs they were working onMeantime we were left for plus weeks in a big messWe owe 2,minus attached invoices and windows which we will have installed by window company.Contractor admits to all the problems but will not accept responsibility.Thank You*** *** *** ***

Mrs*** signed a proposal with my company to have a few walls removedWhich would included drywall work and electrical workAlso part of the job was installing windows and a entry doorwe first ordered the windows from my supplier which takes a couple of weeks to come inWe then started
the project, we started removing the walls and realized that one wall was load barring which was uncharacteristic due to it being a ranchOnce we saw this we then had to put a header in, which we did at no extra costJust something we had to doAfter we got the framing done we got into the electric which was an absolute messSomething I thought was just a few hours to relocate a few outlets took a few days due to the way it was wired from the start, We did this and didn't add any extra cost to jobThen came time to install windows, I had a discussion with Mrs*** and realized I had order the windows without grids my mistakeI then ordered the new windows which takes a couple of weeks to come inI then explained that I could install the wrong windows and just switch out the sashes once the new ones came in, she did not want me to do thatWe then proceeded to finish the drywall, trim and paintAll along she loved the jobShe praised us on our clean up efforts, thought the job was going greatIn the process of doing the drywall we had to remove the thermostat and reinstall it, one of my employees mixed up the wiring and it wouldn't shut off I proceeded to fix it that nightI don't know much about them but help with the internet and my time I had it working before I left on a Friday eveningI made sure it was turning on with changing the temp up and down was working just fineMonday we came to work and they Mrs*** and her husband explained to me that he changed the thermostat Saturday that a friend gave them because old one wasn't working which was the one I installed that they gave to installAnd it was on that Monday he called a heating company to fix the thermostat that he installed SaturdayHe then mentioned that he will take the blame due to him changing it over weekendThey now are telling me that it was my fault and I ruined the a/c in the process and we never touched the acOnce we were ready to paint we primed and painted the rooms that we worked inSome were existing walls that we were just repaintingShe was unhappy with the existing walls and that we painted over a nail in the wall, which was no big deal quick fixWithin the project I had two guys quit on me which delayed to the project some, so in turn it took longer then it should haveWhile we were painting we Mr*** would paint after we would leave for the day and I give him credit for trying but it wasn't up to my standardsThe Wednesday after Easter we went and installed the entry door which we learned it wasn't a standard installI was not prepared for that and didn't not have my table saw to add extension jams to complete the interior trimI then had a conversation with Mr*** asking and explaining to him we had one more full day there complete everything a little bit of trim install windows and touch up the paintI asked if it was OK to complete once windows came in and he was ok with thatabout one week later I had a conversation with Mrs*** on the completion of job, I explained we were still waiting for the windowsShe was a little upset so I gave here the option of us coming to finish everything but the windows or wait till they came in, She said if I don't hear back from her that night will just wait till windows come in, I was like ok this is your optionI did not hear back from her so I was in the understanding she was OK waiting till windows came inThe windows were due in the following ThursdayShe texted me that Thursday at 8:"Jeff, I don't want to wait any longer to have job finished, if you want to settle the bill to date, I'll have someone else finish let me know your intentions, windows, door, screen, thanks *** hill rd" Which these windows are order for her house non returnI replied that I didn't hear from supplier and ill let you in the morningUnfortunately My supplier informed me that windows were not in yet due to a software change with the window company, something out of my controlI then had conversation on the phone explaining this and we had a agreement that I would get which the balance was over to walk awayShe left check taped to the door and nobody was home, I took checkAbout minutes after I left house she called me asking for a storm door which was a extra for agreed work for 350, I explained if I got paid in full I would leave storm doorWe then had more conversation and ended it with her telling me that ill let you know in the morning if I want you to complete job( which would be Saturday Am)She texted me in the morning at 8:"please contact me one day in advance to complete job on hill rd thank you, ***", I replied " Ok I will let you know thank you"The windows were guaranteed to be in that Thursday the of AprilI texted her on Wednesday 4/at 9:that the check she wrote me bounced which messed my bank account upShe replied back " my text to you on Friday was no door no check, you did not want the deal , you wanted full amt at completion, ive filled complaint w Revdex.com, they will mediate the situation from here on,you're not a man of your word, I do not want further communication w you"I then replied " You texted me on Saturday to let you know the day before I come to finishNow that's not what you wantWindows come in tomorrow at some pointWhats going on"No reply from her The balance is around plus storm door of She wrote me a bad check and they're fees with thatThese windows are special order for the houseI've tried, one day she wants us to finish next she doesn'tnot sure how to proceed with itI ready to file a small claims for the money owedPlease helpThank you for you time

phone- Jeff called and stated that he has tried scheduling work for Mr *** at least twice - the latter being around June - and both times he cancelled, not meHow can I finish whatever work if he won't allow me to come and do it

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.? For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I still have not heard from the businessI have gotten texts in the past and called the business once and have always heard will be there soon or in the neighborhood next week will stop in, and no show every timeIn response to the business response I told them to hold off fixing the giant crack in the ceiling where his roofer stepped through because that is where I wanted the sliding door to go inSee my original complaintThe outside work is mostly doneI need it finished and the detail work better finished off
Regards,

Phone - Jeff stated he was paid some money, however, I have $worth of windows that I cannot install because she won't let me, now I have to try and sell custom windowsI did drywall work, doors, and some electricalWhat I was paid is less than what those items are worth, let alone labor costsThen, she wouldn't allow me back to do any other items or finish started jobs.?

Response taken over the phone: ? This was originally an emergency repair when a tree fell on the customer's house? At first we did what we had to do to secure the house? We had scheduled the rest of the work, when the consumer asked us to hold off because he wanted some additional
work done? I will contact him to set a schedule to complete this work

Please see response 5-4-16? Windows were installed by *** in April after contractor placed three incorrect orders, starting early February.? I have paid contractors to complete the work or I would still be with a house torn apart.? Thank You
