Dear Ms. [redacted], When this client first met with her attorney seeking representation for her motor vehicle accident that occurred on November 3, 2014, she informed her attorney that she had health insurance through [redacted], a division of [redacted]. As a result, her attorney put the [redacted]...

[redacted] on notice and withheld money for any potential liens [redacted] may have had for medical bills that were paid. [redacted] ended up not paying any of this client’s medical bills. Upon learning that information, our office requested a withdrawal letter from the [redacted] indicating that there was no lien so we could disperse the final money to the client and her chiropractor. After multiple calls, emails, and faxes, the [redacted] sent a withdrawal letter to our office in May, 2016. Unfortunately, the date of loss was listed incorrectly as November 4, 2014 instead of November 3, 2014. Our office then made multiple calls to the [redacted] requesting a corrected withdrawal letter with the proper date of loss listed as November 3, 2014. On June 10, 2014, an attorney at our office spoke to the case manager at the [redacted] multiple times throughout the day demanding a corrected copy of the withdrawal letter. This attorney was told that this corrected letter was being faxed to both our main fax line and backup fax line on June 10, 2016. Despite this promise, the [redacted] once again dropped the ball and failed to send this corrected withdrawal letter. The [redacted] was called again on June 13, 2016, June 16, 2016, and July 6, 2016. Finally, in the afternoon of July 6, 2016, roughly four hours after a lengthy phone call with the case manager at the [redacted], the corrected withdrawal letter was received via facsimile. The date on this withdrawal letter was June 10, 2016, despite the fact that it was not received until nearly a month after that date. Now that the correct and final withdrawal letter has been received from the [redacted], our office can distribute the final money to the client and her chiropractor according to the Settlement Agreement signed by the client at the time of settlement. Craig B[redacted]Attorney at Law, GREGORY S.
