Greg's Classic Auto

Greg has consistently mislead me on deadlines, ordered incorrect parts, and has yet to give me a legitimate deadline for completion.On 2-13-2015 I agreed to do business with Greg's Classic Automotive.On that day, I paid $2400 for parts at his request. On 2-20-2015, I paid another $3200 for additional parts. On this day, Greg explicitly told me that the job would be done within a week of getting all the parts in. I dropped my vehicle off at Greg's directions on 2-25-2015 to begin work for a partial restoration. I went in on multiple occasions only to see my vehicle not being touched by any of the mechanics. I asked Greg, only to be told that they were waiting on parts. On Mar 16, Greg told me they had all parts in and that it would be done within a week. "[redacted]Mar 16to me No problem. We did wind up getting a little more than original but anyway we got everything so it's scheduled to start Wednesday and should be done in a week. Sorry it's parts that holds us upSent from my [redacted]"Since then, on multiple occasions I have inquired in to the completion date of the vehicle. He has yet to meet the deadline of any of the times he has promised. When confronted with the issue, Greg blamed everyone but himself including the fact that his "parts people" sent him the wrong stuff. In one instance, I was told (by a mechanic) that the parts I paid Greg to order, were in fact not ordered. I confronted Greg, and he said it was his screw up but he was mistaken about what he thought he was ordering. I then requested a detailed copy of all parts and prices which I paid for. He said he would get it for me the next day, and he hasn't yet. THat was April 1 2015 that he said he would get me the list.The most recent visit I paid to Greg (April 17 2015) resulted in him telling me the truck would be finished by APril 22 and ready to be picked up. It wasn't. He extended the deadline to April 27 despite ZERO changes in parts or problems. He was not able to provide a valid excuse as to why he promises one day, and cannot make those deadlines despite no changes to the job. He makes promises just to get you out of his office, only to be absent when you return to confront him. He boasts that he is a professional with multiple years experience, which is why I went with him for this job. Having so much experience would indicate that he would check parts as they arrived, not wait until the last minute to discover that their incorrect only to have to send them back and delay the project. I am very unhappy with the way I have been treated and do not feel like my business has been valued. Greg has blatantly mislead me to my face on when he would have this project done. It is now 10 weeks after I ordered parts and has been 5 weeks since he told me that he would be finished. Greg does not take responsibility and does not hold his shop accountable for their actions. The entire staff is very friendly and warm to customers, however, I feel it is disingenuous and warn others not to fall for it as I did.
