Greg's Honey Do List, Inc. Reviews (4)

I agree to refund [redacted] $500 pending her signing the enclosed release form releasing me from any and all work performed at Mrs. [redacted]' Moms home or any other property belonging to Mrs. [redacted]
All I ever wanted was to have a satisfied customer.  That's why I agreed to replace the floor and other issues.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.
Regards,

DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:
In December of 2013, Greg Mitchell t/a Greg's Honey Do List, lnc. contacted a job with Mrs. [redacted] . . .
In the contract I was to repair Mrs. [redacted] mother's home.
....were do I start?.....
In contract with this job I was to repair foundation with stucco...

were needed. which I did.
Coat interior basement walls with drylock, I coated it with 2 coats.
Repair and level basement floor then I installed the floor tiles.  Floor itself was beyond repair or leveling so I removed
the old tiles which was not in my contract.  After installing the tile that I purchased strictly for this type
floor, I instructed the homeowner that the basement heater was not working and she needed to have
an electrician or heater guy to come out and fix it, that the basement needed to be 70 degrees or warmer for
two weeks for tiles to adhere to the concrete.  Homeowner did not keep heat in the basement properly,
instead put a foot heater on the bar which was not sufficient enough.
After 3 months of a cold winter they leave a letter with [redacted] (enclosed).  At this time there were
no other issues except the floor.  So I tried to contact the [redacted] by phone leaving numerous messages to
go over to the house and see what the problem was with the floor.  I never got an answer from them.  So I
sent them a certified letter (enclosed)  Thats when they finally returned my phone call.  So we were now
able to look at the floor and see what the problem was, after reaching an agreement to roll the floor with
a 100 lb. roller which did not work because they had waited to long.  I removed all tiles and hauled to the
landfill. I contacted [redacted] to come out and lay all new tile.  At this time the [redacted] had the
basement heater fixed.
The cabinet, cubby holes and doors or other doors were not in the contract to be cut at all.
Then I was to install a faucet in the basement which I did and at this time the water was not on, so I hooked
the supply lines back the way I unhooked them.  Her brother pointed out to me that the nut was rusted
off so I replaced that at no charge.
As far as the Master Bedroom goes I was only to install a new faucet and not do anything to the drain.
Last in the Kitchen I was not contracted to do nothing at all!
[redacted] did not put the doors back because the doors needed to be cut out.
I am willing to pay for the doors since the floor was part of my job and may have played a part in the new floor.
The door work in the basement she listed as $395.00.
Further more I haven't heard anytring f¡om Mr./Mrs. [redacted] at all as indicated in their letter.

Review: In December of 2013, Mrs. [redacted] and contracted Greg Mitchell t/a Greg's Honey Do List, Inc., to repair their mother's home. Mr. Mitchell was to replace the floor tile in the basement, repair the sink in the basement. He was to repair plumbing in the kitchen sink and shower in master bathroom. He was to

repair outside basement walls and inside basement walls. The inside walls were to be painted with Dry Lock.

The tile Mr. Mitchell placed in the basement never adhered to the floor. The repair to the basement sink had to reverse the hot and cold water lines. In the kitchen sink the drain was not attached to the trap and had to be replaced. ln the bathroom the drain was broken and had to be replaced. All these

deficiencies were found when the house was inspected for the sale of the home.

When the basement floor would not adhere to the floor, Mr. Mitchell contracted another floor company to come and install a floor. The new floor was good but all the doors in the basement were taken off and not replaced. We contacted the floor company. The floor company advised it was Mr. Mitchell's

problem. They advised that they were contracted to put a floor down. We then contacted Mr. Mitchell and he stated, "he had done all he was going to do on the home." On numerious occassions Mr. Mitchell was contacted regarding the problems. He would not and did not respond.

To sale the home we had to repair all the deficiencies. [redacted] cut off five interior doors in the basement, ten cabinet doors and two cubby doors under steps. Invoice #[redacted] attached. [redacted] was hired to correct plumbing. They found hot and cold supply lines were reversed in basement, found kitchen sink needed new end outlet waste pipe. The waste pipe that was fiund was not connected to the sink. Found main tub waste and overflow to be leaking; was replaced with new pvc tub drain and new wastco push drain kit. Invoice #[redacted] The door work in the basement cost $395.00. The plumbing cost $765.00Desired Settlement: Refund

Response:

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This letter is in response to your letter regarding the response to my complaint on Greg's Honey Do List, Inc.

Attached you will find a copy of the Job Proposal from Greg's Honey Do List, lnc. in this proposal He wrote the following, "INSTALL FAUCET IN BAR SINK IN BASEMENT, HOMEOWNER HAS". I had a faucet set but it was the wrong type. I took my faucet back and Mr. Mitchell stated he had one. In the proposal it also so states, "REPAIR DRAIN UNDER BAR SINK". This is in Mr. Mitchell's hand writing.

You will see in the repair list done by [redacted] The lines under the faucet in the basement were old and the HOT and COLD lines were reversed. This repair was also I listed on the home inspection for the sale of my mother's home.

In Mr. Mitchel's proposal he wrote "INSTALL NEW FAUCET IN TUB UPSTAIRS". The drain in the upstairs tub was not leaking or damaged until after Mr. Mitchell worked on the tub faucet. He stated "he had trouble getting the faucet in."

Regarding Mr. Mitchell's response to the repair of kitchen sink, we have NO written proof that he did not live up to his word. Mr. Mitchell stated he would take care of all the plumbing to get the house ready For Sale.

In Mr. Mitchell's response he offered to refund $395.00. this only addresses the doors that needed to be repaired. If Mr. Mitchell will refund an additional $105.00 to cover the cost of the supply lines then this complaint will be finalized. Total amount due, $500.00.
