Gregs Roofing and Contracting

Review: We hired Greg's Roofing and Contracting in September 2013 to do a complete reroof on our house. The roof was completed in two days, but right away we had issues. We first contacted Greg about an issue with a ledge on our house, that was showing bare wood. He had to come back to put underlayment on the ledge underneath the shingles. We has to contact Greg again a few weeks later due to a leak, he came over, and applied a "temporary fix, which he would fix properly in the spring" of clear silicone to the area that was leaking. Soon after, the leak was back. Greg came over one more time to look at the leak, but refused to fix it. Greg has refused to fix any issues with our roof since that time. We had our township roof inspector look at our roof and document any violations he found. He found six. We wrote a certified letter to Greg stating that we had documented roof code violations, and that if he still refused to honor his 5 year warranty and repair our roof, we would take legal action. he texted my boyfriend saying that he received our letter, and threats don't scare him. That he only cared about the roof code violations if they were from the Building Inspection Underwriters... which these documented violations were.

We had to hire someone to fix the initial leak that we notified Greg about, so that it didn't cause further interior damage. However, we currently have a leak in our chimney, which is caused by Greg not replacing our old flashing with new flashing. This leak has caused interior damage, which will need to be repaired. We also discovered that he and his crew did not vent two of our bathrooms to the outside of the house, which is causing more interior damage.

Greg Lasko has a 5 year warranty on his work, and will not honor it.Desired Settlement: We've had a few contractors to the house to look at the roof, and they have all said we need a brand new roof again. This information, along with the fact that our home (which is newly remodeled on the inside) is damaged due to roof leaks, make us want a full refund of the money we paid for services, so that we can pay someone else to fix this.
