On January 4, 2020, I attended a Voiceover class at the home studio of Greg T, located at ***. Greg T is a voiceover artist, that instructed the class. I'm interested in voiceover work, and attended the class to gain insightful information about the business and most importantly, record a few demos to distribute to potential businesses in the industry. The entire course took about 3 hours to complete. Greg and I began to record demos toward the end of the class. I definitely did not like the demos we recorded and Greg agreed that I could come back at a later date to re-record more demos. I have an email dated January 14th, 2020 that confirms this agreement, in which Greg stated he was busy at the moment, but asked me to pick a few dates in the future to set-up a time to re-record. I contacted Greg on January 28th and February 7th 2020, to try to re-schedule a time to come by his home studio (I have the emails). I received no response from Greg. I called Greg's cell number, at *** on February 16, 2020 to further discuss a time to come back to re-record demos. Greg picked up the phone, and the line immediately disconnects. I called back twice, with no answer. I then left him a message informing him that it seems clear to me that he's not willing to uphold his agreement to re-record the demos, and that I would be escalating the matter via legal action and submittimg complaints, as this is a deceptive business practice. Greg responded at this point, with ugly texts, containing profanity, condescending and harsh words. I advised Greg not to text me again. Greg then sent an email, with the attached demos we recorded on January 4th, stating he provided me with demos I paid for. I explained again, that I informed him that I was not at all satisfied with those demos and that we agreed to re-record demos, but he's been ignoring me and seemed to have no intentions to re-record the demos. I paid $300 for this class and to record demos that I like.

Desired Outcome

Refund As mentioned to Greg, I'd like at least $200 refunded of the $300 dollars I paid, considering I did not receive satisfactory demos.

Thank you for reviewing this information.

Contact me anytime for further documentation, information, etc.

1. Complainant wants a refund.

No. The $300 was paid for the original class she attended and completed in full. Complainant was satisfied with the class upon completion. She stated to my face "Thank you, I enjoyed it" upon leaving and shaking my hand on my front steps. No mention of dissatisfaction in my services. In addition, my business has never offered refunds AFTER a class, only if student cancels PRIOR to class.
This is standard policy for most teaching engagements.

2. The additional hour of studio time offered.

This additional studio time mentioned was voluntarily offered by me FOR FREE to complainant purely as a kind gesture, as I do for many students who may be slower to train. Not due to any failures on my part. We agreed that we would find " A convenient date for the both of us" which she agreed to. No time limit was given on my offer. She attended last month; A jointly convenient date has not been made yet. My family has lost a mother and 1 grandmother in the last 30-days in which funerals have kept my family out-of-state. The Complainant was informed of this by phone and/or email. I have intended to grant her the additional hour until her threats began.
(DOCUMENTATION ATTACHED).

3. Complainant claims I've ignored her / never responded to her.

FALSE. We've continued to correspond since her day of class.

We corresponded on:
Jan.4th - Day of Class & Email
Jan.14th - Email - Out of Town.
Jan.28th - Email/Phone - Out of Town.
Feb.16th - Email - Complainant attempts to extort me and her threats begin.
(Documentation Attached)

4. EXTORTION.

I strongly feel I'm being extorted here. The attached text from her reads "I want $200 or I will escalate"...
I didn't pay her. So she 'escalated' immediately that day:

A.Left negative/defamatory reviews about me online ( Documentation Attached ).
B.Threatened me with the Attorney General... ? ( Documentation Attached ).
C.Threatened me with 'The Courts' ( Documentation Attached ).
D. Threatened me with 'Lawyers' ( Documentation attached ).
E. Threatened to report me to the Revdex.com ( Which she did/ this is ).
F. Claimed "I'm untrustworthy and using deceptive practices". ( Documentation Attached ).

5. SLANDER.

Complainant has already left negative feedback about me and my business online. This has resulted in immediate negative impact, embarrassment, and financial damages to me and the family I support.

If this filing with the Revdex.com becomes public information, it will most certainly have a further extreme negative, punitive and detrimental affect on my income and business, because her filing contains false, defamatory allegations of vulgarity and profanity.
This is Slander in the most common legal sense of the word:

In her Revdex.com report filed she states that I:
"Responded at this point, with ugly texts, containing profanity, condescending and harsh words. " - Revdex.com Filed Report 2/18/20."

This is hurtful, false, ridiculous and insulting to a small business owner, father, husband and business professional whom has never acted in any such foul manner in my 20+ years working. I would like to see any documentation she may have to prove such falsehoods ( I saw none in her filing ).

COMPLAINANTS DESIRED SETTLEMENT: A Refund:

NO.
The Class was attended.
The Student communicated satisfaction with her class at closing.
Her Demo's were great and delivered.
No refunds were ever offered or discussed with her.
No time restriction/limit was ever agreed on for any follow-up studio session.

In addition, I had always intended to honor my offer until she became threatening.

Plus, I've now spent a few days repairing the damage complainant has falsely caused on my business and income for no reason. I've been slandered and extorted by a student I was just trying to help into the industry. I would never consider allowing this person back into my home for 'more Demos' after the threats, harassment, etc.

IN SUMMARY:

I request that this case be closed/dismissed or found falsified on the grounds that I have personally been the victim of false statements, harassment, slander and hurt for no other reason than the complainant wants money for nothing.

Further documentation is readily available for you and your staff.

Thank you for taking time to review this matter. I hope that the information I have provided is sufficient to prove the falsehoods listed against me/ my business. Contact me anytime for further assistance, or voice over services!

Please keep me informed as this filing progresses.

Customer Response • Feb 19, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Mr. T is not at all telling the truth. Upon leaving his home on Jan 4th, I thanked him for the class, but definitely explained I was NOT satisfied with the completed demos, that's why we agreed to an additional hour to re-record. He definitely DID NOT mention anything about a death in his family to me. Please ask him to provide that communication to the Revdex.com for proof, please. As I certainly do not have it, neither email nor text. Mr. T is conducting deceptive practices, by telling me he would re-record a demo that I would be satisfied with, instead, this person became totally UNRESPONSIVE. I emailed him on Jan. 28th and on Feb. 7th, with NO RESPONSE. I called him on February 16th, he answered the line, then the line immediately disconnects! I called back twice, with no answer. I called a third time, leaving a message stating that it's obvious to me that he is not keeping his agreement. I informed (not threatened) him that I would escalate this matter by submitting a complaint and taking legal action. I asked him for a partial refund, as I did not receive a quality demo, as I should have, considering I paid for that. This is the only time I received a response from this person, after I informed him that I would escalate the matter. Again, I have all email communications, and Mr. T NEVER mentioned a death in his family or being out of town. In fact, his last response dated Jan. 14th stated that he was busy and did not have time at the moment. He asked me to give him a few dates in the near future and he would contact me then. I have attached our email communications. Again, please have Mr. T provide his communications informing me of a family funeral and being out of town. It's simply more lies on his part. He cannot be trusted, that's why I asked for a partial refund, and refuse to work with him in the future. Additionally, I have the text he sent me dated Feb 16th, using harsh, profane, and unprofessional language. I can definitely send this to the Revdex.com, if needed. Please let me know, and I will. The sum of this matter is this business agreed to re-record a quality demo, in which I am entitled, since that is what I PAID FOR and did not receive. He then revokes that agreement, by not responding to me, only responding when he's been informed that I would escalate the matter. That is deceptive business practices! I want the $200 refund.

Per complainant's request:

No, I will not provide proof of death.(?)

This is getting weird/scary.

However as the Revdex.com has requested my 2nd response for a 2nd day in a row regarding this same complainants false accusation, I am responding quickly as advised by the Bureau.

Any resolutions the Bureau may find after reviewing all of the documentation attached originally/ herein is welcomed.

1. Complainant wants a refund after the class.

No. The $300 was paid for the original class she attended and completed in full. Complainant was satisfied with the class upon completion. She stated to my face "Thank you, I enjoyed it" upon leaving. No mention of dissatisfaction in my services.

In addition, as a teacher, I've never offered refunds AFTER a class, but gladly provide full refunds if student needs to cancel PRIOR to attending class.

Complainant completed the full class she paid for.

This is standard policy for most teaching engagements.

2. The additional hour of studio time offered.

This FREE additional studio time mentioned was voluntarily offered by me (FOR FREE) to the complainant as a kind gesture, as she was very slow to train / read - Not due to any failures on my part.

We agreed that we would find "A convenient date for the both of us" which she agreed to. No time limit was given on my offer. She attended last month; A jointly convenient date has not been made yet. My family has lost a mother and 1 grandmother in the last 30-days in which funerals have kept my family out-of-state.

3. Complainant claims I've ignored her / never responded to her.

FALSE. I've responded to her emails since the day of class. She's also been corresponding with me through other outlets.
( See Attached Documentation ).

COMPLAINANTS DESIRED SETTLEMENT:
$ / A Refund for Class she completed:

NO.
The Class was attended and completed.
The additional 'demo time' was offered for free and with no time restrictions on scheduling ( when we spoke a few weeks ago).

The Student communicated satisfaction with her class at closing.

No refunds were ever offered or discussed with her.

NO TIME LIMIT was ever agreed on for FREE follow-up studio session(s).

NO ADDITIONAL STUDIO TIME WAS SCHEDULED/PAID FOR.

In addition, I won't be bullied, extorted or slandered any further without taking proper legal recourse..

IN SUMMARY:

I request that this case be dropped/ deleted/closed/dismissed or found falsified due to the evidence and attached documentation, screenshots, emails, etc. that I have provided.

Further documentation is readily available for you and your staff.

Thank you for taking time to review this matter. I hope that the information I have provided is sufficient to resolve the matter.

Have a good day.
