This letter is in reference to Complaint ID
[redacted]. I just did a search for our company’s history/complaints,
opened or closed, on your site. We have been in business for 41 years, having
built thousands of homes in the process and as far as I can see this is...
the
only complaint on record. We do our best to keep every customer happy
whenever possible.
That being said, this is a situation where our
organization disagrees wholeheartedly with the customers accusations and
recollection of the details described. This customer purchased a finished
model home and made numerous changes before settlement, including changing out
flooring, adding a tile shower and having granite installed in the kitchen and
these items were completed before settlement.
We do a walk-through with every customer where they sign
off on everything being completed to their satisfaction before
settlement. This particular customer requested another walkthrough
immediately before settlement, so they could verify that we fixed items of
concerns from the walkthrough. We did meet them again and they went
directly to settlement from this meeting.
The email that was sent by the customer to the
association was much different than described; we received at least 3
calls from people in the community letting us know what was being said about
us. In the past, we have done work for customers beyond the standard warranty,
but I guess from time to time you must realize that you are not going to be
able to make everyone happy. Our organization will not be doing any additional
work for this customer moving forward.

Review: I purchased a townhouse from this builder 18 months ago. The builder offers a warranty contract to repair things in this house (ie. nail pops, cracks etc) or any other defective issues present once living in the home. Over the past 18 months, we have tried to have repair work done including the house to be re-painted. It was not correctly painted upon moving in.Everytime we called the warranty man, **, we were put off or they didn't have anyone to perform the repairs at that time. Now they did repair a light fixture and after 9 months of calling painter was sent to begin painting. However, this job was never completed. Again, we were given multiple excuses why no work was being down. It took them 4 months to order replacement cabinets which we still haven't received. On July 13, I called the owner, Walter Greth, to find out when the painting was going to be done. He told me he is no longer doing work for us. He made this statement because I sent out an e mail to all the homeowners in the association to see if they were having difficulty getting work completed as well. He further told me to do whatever I needed but no work will be done and I will just have to fight it out with him.Again, there is a warranty that is encluded with the house which is is not honoring. To date, our house is not painted nor have we received the replacement cabinets.Pleaser help.Desired Settlement: Want monies to cover all items that are under warranty to we may have a good contractor perform the necessary repairs.
