Review: Last year, they "lost" my brand-new Trina Turk dress (retail value $398), and only replaced it after I spent the entire day on the phone trying to reason with the owner. Less than a year later, they destroyed a brand-new Burberry tie (retail value $150.) When we went to pick it up, the employee tried to give the tie back with no mention of the shredded bottom. When we pointed it out, and asked them to replace it, they took it and called the next day, claiming that the tie had been "repaired." The tailor had sewn the tie back together, but the job was very poorly done and the tie is now ruined. When I asked the owner to please replace the tie, he offered a $30 store credit, claiming that the tie was "used" (it had been worn twice and this was the first time washing it) and then became incredibly hostile and rude. He refused to speak with us directly, despite our repeated calm requests, instead directing his insults through his employee. When I stopped by the store and asked to speak with him, he finally took my call and was aggressive, insulting, cursed at me incessantly, threatened me, and hung up on me. The experience was overall incredibly upsetting, and with no resolution. They wouldn't even give us the tie back so that we could possibly take it somewhere else to be replaced.Desired Settlement: We would like for Gretsch Cleaners to refund the $150 value of the tie. Store credit will not suffice, as we do not trust their business and will not return.
