Hi. I've attached the timeline of inquiries made by *** *** to this messageThe issue with *** *** and his complaint of purchasing our Chevrolet Camaro is summarized as follows. *** *** sent in an inquiry with the desire to purchase a used yellow Chevrolet Camaro from us via
the ShopClickDrive on the 15th of FebruaryOur salesman Joel G*** replied to *** stating that the car is for sale and asked him what time he would like to come in and negotiate a purchase price and asked whether he would like to trade in a vehicle during the process*** replied that yes he did have a trade in, and wanted his payment to not exceed $a month*** hoped that there was some room for negotiation, as indicated in the attached inquiriesJoel informed the customer that he would love for him to come in soon and work on negotiating a purchase price and value of his travehicle*** agreed and said he will be in on Saturday the 19th. Joel explained to him that would be great, but we could not hold the vehicle for him if another interested party was ready to buy before that timeWe sold the car on the 17th to a customer that was ready to buy that dayJoel contacted *** and said the vehicle has been sold, and that he would keep an eye out for another similar CamaroThat is when *** became irate, and communicated that we somehow did wrong by him and that he already purchased the car via Shop Click DriveHe indicates this in his Revdex.com complaintWe explained to him that we cannot nor have any obligation to hold vehiclesWe did not take a deposit or down payment with him nor did we negotiate a price for the vehicleWe did not know the condition or value of his potential trade-in, as he had not brought it in yetI contacted our regional Shop Click Drive Dealer Consulting Manager Mary S*** (this is in the attached files) and asked her to send me a screen shot of the Shop Click Drive submission form that *** *** used; she obligedThe submission form on all Shop Click Drive inquiries, like the one attached, have a disclaimer indicating that we have no obligation or duty to hold the vehicle and that the customer has no obligation to purchase the vehicleThe Revdex.com complaint filed states that we sent "Several confirmation texts and phone calls lead us to believe we had already purchased the car and that we were just going to finalize papersNo were does it say they can sell the car." Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: I am unsure of how to attach the text from my phone   I can how ever forward them to you if you would like just send me a number.      I can tell you he never said that they would not hold the car.   They did confirm a date to come sign papers.  We were under the belief that they had started the paper work.  I do have a text with the name of the company we would be financing through and  the rate and monthly payment.   At this point I have purchased a new car from another dealer but I would like to make sure that they do not treat other customers they way that they did us.  Sincerely,[redacted]
