Mr [redacted] has a [redacted] that the collision center is repairing [redacted] insurance coinspected the vehicle and allowed a junk yard partthe collision center inspected the parts and the safety latch area was compromisedwe had the insurance co come down to inspect the part in question and was approved for a new OEM (factory part) repairs were underway when a internal part was ordered that was when we received a memo from the [redacted] corporation that the part in question was on a national back orderPlease see attachment Mr [redacted] did not have the proper coverage to rent a vehicle ,so he rented one his ownI have spoken to the [redacted] parts manager and I were told there are dealerships in the united stated that have the internal part need to complete the customer's repairs and we were told that the dealerships would not release themMy parts department tried also to locate the part used , there are none availableMr [redacted] at this time is in a rental that my collision center is paying forI am in touch with the Regional Manager at [redacted] to see if they are going to step up to the plateI am looking for some type of reimbursement .The latest release date is August 1, 2017.I would like to address the statement that [redacted] madeThis back ordered part would hold up any collision facility's repairs and [redacted] CONTRACTED shops couldn't received this part any soonerIf you have any questions please do not hastate to call me at my officeI have been here over years and as a family member, we always keep our customers in mindThank you, [redacted] General Manager [redacted] Collision Centers
