I've been a Discover Card carrier since 2014, while discover card is probably one of the best cards offering cash back rewards my experience with their customer service department is unacceptable They have customer service representatives the will tell you what you want to hear rather it is the truth or not I talked to the manager of the Executive Resolution Department who tried to help me resolve an issue with having to add a code to access my account every time I logged in to their site He was great at what he does with the exception he has a hard time returning phone calls to customers and when ask about this his response is this is the executive office not a call center we don't take and return phone calls I know that management team at discover card is busy and I can understand their position what I can't understand is how can they expect their employees to be accountable to customers when they themselves aren't When I ask to speak with someone higher up in the chain of command I was told he would give him the message and that my call would be returned at his convenience Basically Discover Card will have this gentlemen call me as a courtesy but the issue will never has a resolution to it Employees are only as good as the management team that leads them

I have been with Discover just short of years and then I received a notice saying They "could no longer service my account,"Meaning they were closing it but refuse to explain why! I wrote a letter asking for a reasoning and for them to reconsider but they have notCUSTOMER LOYALTY MEANS NOTHING TO DISCOVER CARD!!! BEWARE OF DOING BUSINESS WITH THEMThey don't even have the common courtesy to say what was wrong with the accountI have never been late,always paid off my balance transfers and I owe less than $or a $30,credit lineTo make matters worse the Banking side has the nerve to continue to send offers for me to take out a loan with themIF YOU CLOSED MY CREDIT CARD WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO GIVE ME A LOANI HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO POORLY BY ANY CREDITORIt took a couple of weeks before they sent out a second form letter after I requested info as to what happenedMore double talk but no real informationThen I called the representative who listed his number on the 2nd form letter and waited over a week for him to call me back! I got tired of waiting and called again since he was NOT going to return my initial callSmoking mirrors, double talk,and I'm so sorry BULL! I will never refer another person to this company

Excellent to deal with !!

I made a phone payment on my sons credit card(I am not listed on this card and never have been.) I have now found out a few months later that Discover card kept my banking information without my permission on his accountAnytime he wants to make a payment he can choose my information and it pulls from my checking accountI called Discover card and requested that it be removed and was told they are not able to do that and that I would have wait seven or so months when it falls off automatically I never gave them permission to save my information and there wasn't a choice that asked whether or not I wanted my information savedThey just saved it and now refused to remove it
