Mr [redacted] is not a customer of Alternate Energy, Inc.Alternate Energy, Inc(“AEI”) will honor all contracts that AEI signed with AEI’s customers for PV projects with [redacted] panels, but cannot honor contracts for such projects that [redacted] signed with [redacted] ’s customers Despite earlier statements by [redacted] and in the media, there was in fact no acquisition of [redacted] by AEI, or any other assumption by AEI of [redacted] ’s obligations concerning [redacted] ’s customers AEI therefore must disclaim any contractual, warranty, or other obligations concerning any [redacted] customers

The electrician that provided the verbal agreement is no longer with the company We have spent the last few days going over paper files and electronic records of this meter service upgradeWe have found that the former electrician did mention the meter upgrade but there was no direct connection of the 200A meter upgrade to an amount of $4,In good faith, we will honor the customer request to complete the meter upgrade at $4,even though the actual cost of the work is over times that amountWe value our customer and want them to be happy with our service We will contact the customer to schedule the work of upgrading the service from 100A to 200A

claim of Alternate Energy, Inc.’s (AEI’s) solar water heater (SWH) installation causing roof leaks at her siteWe did not find any evidence of any roof leaking or any damage caused by the SWH installation and informed the customerThe customer thanked our service technician and apologized for reporting us to the Revdex.com.This customer has had ongoing issues with her SWH installation since her initial installation in January The main issue with the SWH system was the size of the SWH system which the customer insisted on a gallon SWH system (same size as her previous SWH system) although there were less than full time residents in the homeWe advised against installing the gallon SWH as it will cause issues due to the low use of the hot water from the SWH systemThe customer insisted and AEI installed the gallon SWH system which immediately started causing issues. Over the years AEI has responded to the multitude of issues with various solutions with the main issue being low use of hot water from the systemAEI’s SWH installation warranty covers any installation issues including roof leaks for five (5) years which is outstanding when compared to the average SWH installation warranty which is for only one (1) yearNow that the customer’s installation is beyond seven (7) years, It was disappointing to have the customer contact us to say that our work caused a roof leak and that she was going to call a roofer and expected us to pay for the rooferAEI has a great history of going above and beyond to service their customers from the first consultation to the many years following an installation and AEI will continue to do so for their customers. I am rejecting this response because: MrRoss K*** missed the point of my complaint, which was how long it took to get a callback regarding a leak from a solar panel reported by someone who was up on my roof. Because I could not get a response despite a voice mail message and three phone calls, in frustration I filed a complaint with Revdex.com and stated what I wanted Alternate Energy to be responsible for. All I initially wanted was a callback to schedule someone to come and check for a leak and do any necessary repair.When I got a callback and scheduled a service call, the technicians were friendly, courteous, and professional. They explained that there was a water stain on the roof which was the result of condensation on the panels but there was no leak. I appreciated their inspection and explanation. I have high regard for them!I take issue with another statement MrK*** made. MrK***, who was the salesman, misrepresented me as saying I "insisted" on a gallon system. He DID NOT advise against this installation. Had I known of potential issues (which were NOT pointed out to me), I would not have even replaced my old system, which he said needed replacing. I was initially interested only in replacing my solar hot water heater and, only if necessary, panels since First Hawaiian Bank was offering an interest-free energy loan.I also did not say I was going to call a roofer. He should reread my complaint more carefully to see what I actually said.The bottom line is that I was complaining about Alternate Energy's lack of timely responsiveness to a call for service, which created an impression of a non-caring approach to dealing with customers. I have high praise, however, for the repair technicians

In good faith, we will honor the customer request to complete the meter upgrade at $4,000 even though the actual cost of the work is over 3 times that amount. We value our customer and want them to be happy with our service.  We will contact the customer to schedule the work of upgrading the service from 100A to 200A.
