I photographed *** and ***'s engagement session, after culling out the images that don't meet my standards, I delivered beautiful imagesOur engagement sessions typically average between 30-images on the discAs an artist, I aim to capture the story of my client's love and tell
that story with my imagesI do take more images, but the ones that don't make the cut are often exposure tests, the subject is making an awkward face or expression or the image is very similar to another.The client received exactly what we offer for our engagement session, she received images on her discWhen she emailed wanted more, I asked if there was something missing, or a shot that she didn't receiveShe said she "just wanted to see them all"No photographer gives every image, as I stated above, there are often awkward poses (mouths agape, eyes half closed that no one should see of themselves) and exposure testsShe also stated she wanted more of her dog and one complaint she wrote that I was "little willing to work with her dog", which is also falseWhen I arrived for the engagement session, she mentioned that they had brought their dog for a few shotsAfter the engagement session, which I thought went really well, these were the emails that were received and sent:
Dear ***,We got our engagement photos and the ones that we have look greatHowever, the disk that we have only has pictures on itCan we please get the rest of the pictures?Thank you, CI replied: Hi C,I'm so happy you like your photosYou and fiance fit so well together!We typically deliver 30-images for the engagement sessionI often take a couple shots of each pose, sometimes it's to text the exposure, other times it is just in case eyes are closed or hair is blown out of place (especially down at the lake) or I'm testing out a pose, but delivering two or three shots of the same pose with very little differences is often overwhelming, so I go through and deliver the very best to you.Is there a specific pose you are looking for? I can go through and see if I've got it.Thanks,***Then I received this: Hi ***,I was hoping that there were more of [dog] and just in general I knew there were more and I was hoping to get way more than 49.I don't know if I can list specifics I think I just wantedto see them all or atleast more than 49.Thanks!So, once more my reply:Hi C,Do you feel there is something that is missing? I am really proud of the set I deliveredAs I had stated in my last email, we typically deliver between 30-images for an engagement sessionI'll look back though and see if there are any different images, but the ones that don't get chosen are usually because they are very similar to the ones that are chosen or they are unflattering.Thanks,***And then I get this: Hi ***,I have to say for the amount if time we spent taking photos to receive that little is pretty frustratingI am also very disappointed in the small amount of [dog] and the ones of [dog] are not necessarily ones I want to use as a save the date.There are maybe only or out of that set I would want to use for my save a dates and I think if we had more of the photos we would have more to choose from.My experience from other photographers and other friends getting married there are a lot more than 30-photos deliveredYes they all are not edited but I guess I do my understand why if they are photos of myself and fiance why we cannot see them, even if they are not edited.Thank you,C

dumbfounded by the reviews you left this weekendI was not unwilling to
work with *** and have no clue where that idea came fromI have not
had a chance to go through your images at this point and find more of
*** and the two of youIt breaks my heart that you feel you
did not receive enough imagesWhen you hire an artist, you are not only
hiring them, but their visionMy vision is always to show the love my
clients have for one another, I felt that I captured that love and gave
you a beautiful set of imagesMy sessions are never about quantity, I
shoot digital like I do film, I try to make every image count.Never
once did you or *** inform me that your session would focus on ***
and I feel that your reviews and subsequent emails are all based on
images of the two of you with your dogI love it when clients bring
their pets, I really do, so leaving me a review that says I was
unwilling to work with you and your pet doesn't many any senseI guess
what I'm saying is, if *** is so important, why didn't you say on the
day of the session that you wanted more photos with him? Why wait until
after the session? I think at this point we really need to
talk over the phoneI don't have time today, but I will be free all
day tomorrow, Tuesday November Please give me a call at your

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Please see email attachement of all correspondance. I feel that [redacted] is now attempting to extort me by requiring me to remove all reviews off line before releasing the photos. This is not okay. As a consumer I have the right to educate other consumers by making a review on websites such as google or yelp. This is not legal to my understanding that you can withhold someone's product until they do what you want. I paid for my photos and I would like to see them.
I left a voicemail with [redacted] if she would please feel free to call me since I do not know how I should continue and if this should be moved to a courtroom instead of the Revdex.com.
