Revdex.com spoke with *** from the company and he stated that the strike was put against the consumer because when a dispute is opened the business is expecting the paymentWhen they do not receive the payment, the dispute is closed and the strike against the consumer is for other companies to see that their shop had a problem with collecting the paymentSince the lamp has been sold, there is no amount due from the consumer

Review: I bid on and won a lamp from this auctioneer a few weeks ago. I was invoiced immediately as soon as I won the item and the seller was demanding payment by the end of the day. They were out of state. When I began to email them, anxiously inquiring on how I was going to get my item they deliberately led me to believe that I was on my own with shipping or I had to make my own arrangements. I was hundreds of miles away. They kept demanding the money and I was nervous to pay. I thought I was not going to get my item. They never put my fears to rest and instead threatened to report me and open a dispute with live auctioneers which they did. Meanwhile, I was frantic on how to get someone to possibly pick up and ship me my lamp. I was receiving outrageous quotes from [redacted] a few hundred dollars to do this. Meanwhile the auctioneers were still threatening me. I asked them if they can hold it while I made arrangements and they said no and that they wanted the money. It appeared very suspicious to me the entire thing. About two weeks later only after opening a dispute against me with live auctioneers did they inform me that they had a shipper all along. I even called the shipper and they were nice. They said this auctioneer usually drops off all the out of state items to them. I don't know why I was the exception. I felt I was being deliberately antagonized for no reason. I would have gladly paid if they would have just told me right away that the plan was for out of state. This caused unnecessary fuss and confusion and now they opened a dispute. Do they even have my lamp? how do I even know I will get it at this point and in one piece? They went from telling me that they couldn't hold it to then contacting me two weeks later still asking me for payment. I thought they can't hold it? It was total BS from the beginning. We exchanged emails again. I asked for my invoice and they ignored me and didn't reply to three emails sent through live autioneers.Desired Settlement: Obviously the auctioneer and I cannot come to an agreement. I want them to stop this nonsense and either assure me that my lamp is still ready and waiting for me and in the condition I purchased it in and I will pay for it and I want it dropped off to the shipper. Either that or close and remove the dispute they opened. There was no reason to antagonize a customer like this. If this is not done I am going to next contact the attorney general

Customer Service Issues

In Regards to Complaint Filed:

Customer Registered for our July 28, 2014 online only auction on July 23, 2014 at 9:14pm. At that point in time, the terms of the auction (listed below) were agreed to by clicking the agree button. It clearly states in the terms and on her invoice that the auction house does not ship and that the payment was due by Tuesday July 29th at 4:00pm. Invoices were generated and sent out July 29th at 10:44am. This invoice (also attached) contained information for the shipping company we suggested the customer get in contact and the date/time payment was due. We often work with customers on holding merchandise until arrangements can be made for shipping however the payment of merchandise must be held to a strict standard as we are collecting that money for the person who consigned the item(s). Emails immediately started to come in stating that the item would not be paid for until shipping was acquired. In response it was stated that the payment of the item can not be held up while shipping estimates were acquired but that we would store the item for a reasonable period of time until shipping could be arranged. The customer was not happy with this and began becoming abusive and threatening in nature. Complaints were also filed by the customer with the online service company ([redacted]). These complaints were also responded to immediately as we hire and pay this company a percentage of each sale to host our auctions. A dispute was filed against this person as to mark her account as unpaid and receive the money [redacted] charged Grindstaff Auctions for the sale of the lamp. Lamp has since been sold and is no longer available.

Complaint Background:

Purchase Date: 7/28/2014

Problem Occurred: 7/29/2014

Invoice Number: [redacted]

Purchase Price: $118.00

Proposed Settlement:

Agreement can not be settled between customer and auction house. Threats and complaints continue to be received and all contact with customer has been halted. Dispute mark will not be removed from account as payment was never received and terms of the auction were not followed.

I have all our email exhanges. Yes, after he threatened me with this, I threatened to report them to the Revdex.com of Virginia and did so as soon as Grindstaff made good on their promise and put a strike against me with [redacted]. If you review our exchanges you would be able to tell that I am a first time, bidder or user of live auctioneers, I even state this. I told them, I did reach out before the auction started to inquire about shipment since I could not locate an answer to this easily on their confusing website. Instead of just telling me straight out that they recommend someone, in this case, [redacted] and direct me to them immediately, he instead demanded payment by the end of the day and also told me THEY WOULD NOT HOLD MY ITEM. What would anyone do? Give someone $100.00 at that reply? They handled the entire thing unprofessionally. This never should have happened. Now they have the power, to blacklist a customer of [redacted] by leaving a permanent strike against me? It was a lack of communication and they need to admit it. If not, my Revdex.com claim should be permanent just as their unfair strike against me is obviously permanent. They since sold the lamp sucessfully, as I suspected they were going to do and probably do this on a regular basis. They are doing this to be spiteful.

I did not get the goods I bid on in their auction and what I wanted.
