Grismer's Christian Gifts Reviews (3)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me however, the way the company phrased their response "had they been provided with the information sooner, it would have been resolved" irritates me. They WERE given the information via telephone by ME. All contact, except for the actual exchange of money was done through me, that is why I contacted the Revdex.com because they refused to refund the additional day even when I told Scott that he had given me the amount in writing.Thank you for your help. This could have easily been avoided had they honored their original quote.

I am rejecting this response because: I have a business card in which the person who helped me [redacted], wrote 7/17 (date to pick up) and a total cost of $304. If what they are saying is true, it should have read the $357 because I very specifically told him that there was no way the car could be picked up by the LEGAL owner (being my son, since he had a signed pink slip in hand) before the 17th since he was out of town and was not expected to be back before close of business on the 16th. Irregardless of the reason the car was towed, since the car was taken without his permission. He (my son) did not know the person who was driving the car and we were unable to get any information from the officer who stopped the person with possession of his car - the reason for the tow is not in question - the amount charged is. I don't know why they (Bud's Towing) elaborated on it. I do not have the card with me at the time of this posting but I can provide the Revdex.com with a copy of it.

Thank you for allowing Buds Towing Inc., an opportunity to provide additional information on this complaint. The vehicle was towed on July 15, 2015 at the request of the Yolo County Sherriff’s Department due to having an unlicensed driver weaving and crossing the center line that was subsequently...

arrested. An inquiry was received regarding the amount to pick up the car on July 16. This was a person claiming to be the vehicle owner’s mother. The son’s name did not match the registered owner of the vehicle nor the arrested driver of the vehicle. The person was advised that appropriate paperwork establishing the legal ownership of the car as well as $251 ($198 for the tow and $53 first 24 hours storage) would be needed to release the vehicle. The person was also informed that if the vehicle was not picked up by close of business the 16th then storage fees would be assessed by each calendar day the vehicle was in storage. Vehicle storage charges are controlled by the Tow Service Agreement with CHP. A vehicle stored/impounded 24 hours or less shall be charged no more than one-day storage. If the vehicle is released from storage after 24 hours has lapsed charges may be allowed on a full, calendar day basis for each day of storage. The vehicle was picked up on July 17 with the person providing a signed vehicle title transferring ownership to them and $357 ($198 tow and $159 three calendar days storage). After the vehicle was picked up a woman identifying herself as the vehicle owners mother inquired about the additional $53. It was explained to the person that storage is charged by calendar days.
