We had a full master bathroom and kitchen remodel in mind when we hired this companyThe work started out fine, even better than fine, but ran into a problem when the contractor did not accurately budget his timeSo after six weeks of working on both the master bathroom and kitchen, and with time short to move to his next job, the contractor started to cut cornersFirst he put down the tile floor in the kitchen without using a hardy backing product which had the tiles popping and coming loose within two weeksSimilarly he installed a toe-kick that after one week started to fall offThen as time got really short he simply decided to move on without finishing the jobIn fact he started crossing off tasks within the contract that he felt he could not do and simply decided not charging us was OKIn all fairness he did refund the labor charges for the tile floor and toe-kick but then we had to hire somebody to redo the workIn addition he left without doing the following:
He made no attempt to put in the master bath vanity top and sinksHe made no attempt to install the crown molding for the kitchen cabinetsHe made no attempt to install pulls and drawer handles to any cabinet in either roomhe made no attempt to install clothes or towel hooks or any accessory in the master bathHe made no attempt to repaint walls where he did drywall work late in the job, or where his subcontracting electrician made holes in the drywall and ceilingHe made no attempt to install the stove top even after we told the retailer that we didn't need their help to install because the contractor would do itHe made no attempt to install the garbage disposal in kitchenHe did not adequately clean up his messes and left texturing compound on windows, trim and floors and old demo material in the back yardHe made no attempt to install tile backsplash in master bath even though it was part of the contract and we purchased the materialsHe simply crossed it off the list on the contractHe reattached the gas line to the dryer improperly and the house filled with gasHe attached the water line to the new refrigerator wrong and caused malfunctions of the new applianceThe shower door was not sealed properly (too little caulk) and leaked underneath onto the floorBottom line was the guy was a nice guy who showed up on time, sober and ready to work and started out like gangbusters, and did do some good work, but as time for that job got short he cut corners and threw attention to detail out the windowWhen confronted with these issues he did return the labor cost for the floor and toe-kick but refused to even acknowledge his part in any of the other issues and instead decided to blame us for all of the issuesWe ended up shelling out $60K for a kitchen we could not cook in with a floor that was already coming up in less than two weeks and a bathroom we could not brush our teeth inWe ended up hiring other contractors to repair his sloppy work and finish his unfinished workI would not recommend this company to anyone for any reason

Review: My wife and I hired [redacted] to convert a garage into an studio apt.He started on June 24 2015.He said it would be done September 1 2015. When September 1st came and went he said two more weeks. He told us that for the next 5 months. We gave him money as per contract and then he asked for more money ahead of completion. We gave him that money. Then he kept telling us he would be done in two weeks. That went on for 5 months. He did little work and finally told us he was having money problems. He came 2 to 3 days a week and only stayed a couple of hours. He had other men do some work and they said he never paid them. We eventually made a deal with him.In December 2015 we agreed for him to finish the job by January 15 2016 or he would deduct $50.00 a day up to the $1400.00 we owed him. He wasn't done by January 15.2016 he had no money to buy the material to finish the job. So we bought the rest of the materials and cabinets and agreed for him to finish the job.On February 1st 2016 he left and didn't come back. The wall heater was not working and the tankless water heater was not working right.I called him the next day about the water heater and the wall heater and he said we bought a cheap water heater and what do we expect. The water heater was one he picked out on the [redacted] web site. He said he was not coming back .We paid for a plummer for the water heater and some one to fix the wall heater.it cost $150.00 for that fix. I have pictures of all the things he did wrong or the guys he hired did wrong.Desired Settlement: Consumer states that they would like to be reimbursed for the costs of hiring a third party company to finish the jobs the business refused to return and fix and/or complete. We want people to know that he took 5 extra months and still did not finish the job, we had to finish it. I would not hire him for anything.
