A Contractor by the name of [redacted] had come in and seen us about fireplacesWe worked with him onprices and what units would work for his customersIt took about months before customers (Mr& Mrs[redacted] ) came in and paid for the units and then they picked them upWhen they picked them up we(Grizzly Fireplace) asked them about the venting for the fireplacesThey said the contractor was puttingthem inNo Venting was sold with units.Mrs [redacted] called in the end of February and asked if they could bring the insert backWes had told Mrs[redacted] that she had to talk to John (owner) about thatCompany police is that we don't take back GasappliancesThere is too much of a liability for something they might have done to the applianceIf it is apart that we can take back there is a 10% Restocking fee in all parts.Mr& Mrs [redacted] returned the insert in March and the louver was missingMr& Mrs [redacted] askedabout a vent kit for the fireplace they still hadThe Vent kit that they ended up taking with them was a GD-& GD-the kit we sell for $250, We took that off the bill.Mr [redacted] came in and saw John and Wes in May and told them he could not find the Top louver for theinsert (remind you they come together the top and bottom louver) He told us to bill him for the top louver.Mr [redacted] also stated to us that they were in financial hardship and they needed the moneyI had acheck sent out on 25th of May For $This is the amount that MR [redacted] agreed on.GDI- $2,41610% return -$225.60Vent kit -$250Top louver -$100Total: $1,824.40Sincerely,John R***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: the insert was returned very shortly after ChristmasWe did not ever agree on the amount of money we received from himWe expected to get back what we paidHe is correct about us getting the ventWe were told it was $There was not a louvre with the fireplace.I'm not sure where financial hardship came inWe just wanted our money back and since it took months to get the amount he sent us, the restocking fee should have been waived Sincerely, [redacted]

It took about 3 months before customers (Mr. & Mrs.[redacted]) came in and paid for the units and then they picked them up. When they picked them up...

we(Grizzly Fireplace) asked them about the venting for the fireplaces. They said the contractor was puttingthem in. He is correct about us getting the vent. We were told it was $125. There was not a louvre with the fireplace.I'm not sure where financial hardship came in. We just wanted our money back and since it took 5 months to get the amount he sent us, the restocking fee should have been waived
