We prepared and reviewed three years of tax returns and at least two of those years tax returns were delinquent. We delivered the tax returns prior to the due date imposed by the IRS. We emailed the and tax returns to Mr *** on September 11. 2013’s tax return was completed but not sent to him and as of September 12 when Mr *** came in to pick up his source documents 2013’s tax return was not past the extended due dateMr*** has never compensated us nor was he ever billed for these services
I had several face to face meetings and several phone calls with Mr *** to discuss his tax returns and to gather information. An agent from the internal revenue service had gone to Mr ***’s residence and left a notice. Mr *** brought the notice to me and we immediately contacted the IRS agent to ask for an extension of time to file. Mr *** started yelling at the agent accusing the agent of being a fake and claiming he was going to sue the IRS. The agent went on to say that if Mr *** did not believe he was a legitimate agent that he could not grant the extension to file. I spoke up on behalf of Mr *** and stated I believed he was a legitimate IRS agent and that we would be happy to take the extension.
I did not keep a log of Mr ***’s phone calls and I believe some of his calls were not returned. I was always available by email. Mr *** was always allowed to leave me a detailed message that would have been passed to me in between appointments. We did however, prepare three years of tax returns on behalf of Mr *** and received no compensation. We did provide many hours of work and did tax research for some tax issues
I deal with hundreds of tax clients a year and have never had one issue like this. Many of my clients have been with me for my entire career at Grobe & Associates. I take a lot of pride and my work. I am very disheartened by Mr *** and his response to us helping him with his tax problems. We wish him well
