He was drinking a beer and offered me oneI refused since I don't drinkBoyfriend said although he didn't know the dog well that he'd help hold him while I workedUnfortunately, the boyfriend was unable to properly restrain the dog The dog repeatedly attempted to bite myself and the boyfriend so I muzzled the dog to calm him down for a bit. I also gave the dog plenty of breaks throughout the process, hoping that would helppercent of the job was completed when *** arrivedShe held the dog for about minutes, then said she had to go and thanked me for trying to do the dog. I said I could finishShe said no and paid meShe did not seem upset or express any concerns, and I had no problem leaving at all. I was completely taken aback when I read her slanderous review on my Facebook Page just a few hours later(I took a screenshot of that for my records and still have it.) I also received a copy of the complaint she filed with Revdex.com.In response to ***'s claims: there was no profuse bleeding or injury to her dog. As I was leaving I saw a tiny dot of blood on his left hind leg and mentioned this to ***, who then told me the dog had a tumor she knew about already (though she had not told me about it before leaving me with the dog!) In any case, there was no "profuse bleeding". My clipper blades are cleaned and sharpened before each service appointment. The dog was never abused in any way - I never restrain animals when providing service and specifically discuss this with owners before any appointment is madeIf owner of designee is not available to handle the animal I refuse to provide service because it simply is not safe practice. The boyfriend did his best to handle the dog and even though he wasn't able to assist adequately, at no time was he abusive or harmful to the animal. Services were in fact rendered despite her failure to provide effective restraint. The only reason the remaining 10% of the job wasn't completed was because she refused, telling me that she had to leave again. She in fact paid the agreed upon amount and didn't mention any dissatisfaction or concerns. I pride myself on the quality and care of my service to each animal, in fact it is a side business I provide because I love animals and grooming is a significant way I can contribute to their physical comfort and quality of life. ***'s statement that I have no license is irrelevant and unnecessary for groomingI do, however, have extensive experience training and working for vets and breedersThis also includes grooming birds- clipping their wings, trimming their beaks. I recently provided grooming for a number of birds at a private aviary outside Syracuse.I have received stellar reviews and recommendations from customers and am appalled by ***'s vicious slander.
