Hi my name is [redacted] in my response to a complaint against my business by a Mr [redacted] I would like to simply tell my side of the story and have it published along side the complaint.  Mr [redacted] and his lady friend have been customers for about 5 years during the incident in question...

[redacted]e brought in her dog [redacted] for grooming my [redacted] supervised the entire grooming process nothing ever happened to [redacted] during the grooming process the next day [redacted] called and said [redacted] was not acting right my [redacted] told [redacted] to keep us informed but replied that we had no idea what could have happened because there was no incident during the grooming process.  About 5 days later she called and said that she had taken [redacted] to the vet and they told her it happened at the groomer it was a neck injury from the grooming lead. I ask miss [redacted] to call the vet and release the dogs exam records to me I told her if the vet said it had to have happened here even though I know nothing happened here I would pay the bill.  miss [redacted] then said and I quote " they are busy I don't want to bother them can't you just groom scruffy our other dog for free ". at this point I realized there were many other possibilities of things that could have happened and I informed miss [redacted] of my concerns due to the fact that [redacted] is severely obese  he is probably 35 or 40 pounds and should only be like 20 that I would not be paying any bill because I knew that there was no injury here and many things could have happened .  she was naturally upset but I stood my ground.  if somthing happens here at our establishment and accidents do happen when you are working with animals we would have paid the vet bill no problem but I felt somthing else had happened.  then Mr [redacted] decided to come to my business after I had told miss [redacted] I no longer wanted Mr [redacted] here due to him being verbally abusive and downright irrate with my [redacted] at a prior incident  (we had his dog for 2 hours). when he comes in he starts yelling and demanding to speak to my [redacted] at which point I told him to leave I didn't want him here and that my [redacted] wasn't going to change her mind and I would not allow him to speak to my [redacted] in the manor he was speaking to me.    again I told him to leave he refused I felt the situation needed to be documented for my safety so I took out my phone and began recording Mr [redacted] became beligerant and grabbed my hand with my phone in it and slammed it to the desk attempting to destroy my phone and simultaneously assaulting me . I have a video of the incident at thus point I physically forced Mr [redacted] to leave I grabbed the collar of his jacket and escorted him to the door he then grabbed the door frame and tried with all his might to pull his self back into my establishment with as much patience and delicacy as humanly possible I removed his hand from the door and attempted to release the hold on mr [redacted]s coat at no point did I violently shove him to the ground at no point did he even touch the ground after the incident Mr [redacted]s left and all of us at the shop were discussing the incident one of my employees reminded me Mr [redacted]s almost dropped [redacted] the day he picked him up as the dog slipped you can imagine a 76 year old man trying to readjust his hold as to not drop the morbidly obese dog he grabbed him very agressivly in a headlock and insisted that he didn't need any help this to me solves the mystery of what happened to [redacted]s neck.   a few days later Mrs [redacted] came to my establishment with a letter form the vet insisting that I pay the bill.  again I read the letter but nowere in the letter did it state that the incident had to have happened at my establishment.   in fact when I spoke to the vet they told me that it was only a theory and when I explained to them what had happened when Mr [redacted]s almost dropped [redacted] they said that could have very well caused the injury .  at which point I informed mrs [redacted] we would not be paying any part of the vet bill because I know nothing happened here and I know Mr [redacted]s almost dropped the dog almost certainly injuring him to which she replied you know social media and [redacted] can ruin your business so I feel this complaint is only an obscured version of the truth in attempt to slander my otherwise impeccable establishment
