I believe this company also operates or owns a business named Delta T of PA. They installed the HVAC system in our town-home community in Warrington, PA.
Strike 1: May 30, 2016
We moved into our brand new house on May 1st but didn't turn on the AC since the weather was relatively pleasant. When I turned on the AC on Memorial Day Weekend, it didn't start. Pulte Homes - the developer - has an online complaint system to track issues like these. I called and emailed them but they were closed during that weekend. We had to wait for four days before the HVAC guy showed up. I received a phone call and the operator was very nonchalant about it. "It's fixed now," was his response. No mention of what the issue was.
Strike 2: June 20, 2016
While the AC had been running for three weeks, the house would never cool down. It took me one whole week to convince this company to send someone over. I would call them every day and their response would be one of the following:
- It's quite hot outside today. So the house will not cool down quickly.
- Your filter must be clogged.
- You shouldn't open your windows and expect the house to cool down quickly once you turn the AC back on.
Ultimately, when they sent someone over, I was told that the coolant was not charged enough to cool the house down.
Strike 3: September 4, 2016
The AC would not power on. It took me a while, again, to convince the company that something was wrong. The operator made me check a few things and determined on the phone that the unit was not receiving power. The electrical company wouldn't show up until September 9th. When they did, they suggested that the power is fine and that the furnace was not working. When I mentioned this to the HVAC company, they didn't even pretend to care. The site supervisor - who is pretty much around all the time - said that he will see us in the afternoon.
I'm very unhappy with Delta T of PA and Pulte Homes for not showing any empathy in my situation. I have a three month old at home and ever since we moved into this home, either my pregnant wife or my infant baby had to put up with an inefficient AC unit. And, I had to deal with unhelpful parties like Delta T of PA and Pulte Homes.
