Ground Force Suspension Systems Reviews (1)

Review: I wish to express my displeasure with a Pennsylvania company name Ground Force Suspension Systems. Their mailing address is; [redacted].

In August 2012 I purchased Ground Force suspension spring products for my SUV through one of their suppliers. The parts were clearly advertised in the GF web site as applying to my vehicle, I could go into much more detail as to what occurred when the parts were installed on my vehicle, but for the purpose of my complaint to the Revdex.com serving western Pennsylvania I will be

brief.

I contacted Ground Force by phone and U.S. mail with an explanation and photographs of the results of installing the parts that were designed for a different version of my Ford SUV. (But their description stated it applied to my model) Initially, they responded with a suggestion to resolve the problem, but their suggestion did not work and actually made the problem worse. A few months had now passed and Ground Force had removed the information from their web site that described the parts as applying to my vehicle. I sent two additional letters, with photos, to their director of research and development and the president of the company and they choose not to reply. In all of my communication attempts my description of the issues was civil and professional.

Simply stated, they had made an error in describing the parts/kit as applying to my specific vehicle, but it did not apply to my vehicle and they chose to ignore my request to resolve the problem. I ended up spending $1,800.00 on a project that should have cost about $550.00.1 was left with no alternative but to remove all the parts in the kit and return the vehicle to its original state. I am out the entire amount of my investment and have nothing to show for it. I have copies of the original web site application guide and the correspondence I sent them. If you wish to discuss any of this with me, I would be happy to comply. My phone number in Prescott, AZ is [redacted] or email [redacted]

Response:

We received a complaint about one of our suspension kits not lowering a vehicle as described. The vehicle in question is a 2004 FORD EXPLORER V8 engine with 134,952 miles on it. After talking to this individual and understanding the complaint that he was not satisfied with the stance or the ride of his vehicle with this kit installed. We shipped him new replacement coil springs and new spring urethane spacers @ no charge to try to rectify these issues. After the replacement parts were installed this individual was still not satisfied with the suspension kit on his vehicle. Our parts have a limited lifetime warranty and it is our policy to replace any defective parts @ no charge to the customer. We can not be responsible for the labor cost of the installation of this kit. If for whatever reason the kit would be removed from a vehicle it would need to be returned to original place of purchase for refund and that supplier would need to obtain an RGA # issued from GROUND FORCE to have the kit returned to our facility. Once we have the returned goods in our facility we will test to verify if the parts in question are in specification.

Contrary to our customer's statement we have been attentive to his problem and have tried in earnest to help with this situation. We have been in the suspension business for over 30 years and take all customers problems very responsibly. With that said we want to maintain a good relationship with all customers and would encourage the customer to return the kit if he is not satisfied to the place of purchase for consideration of a refund.

Response:

I recently read your reply to the Revdex.com of Greater Western Pennsylvania. I found it amusing that you choose to describe my vehicle as having in excess of 130,000 miles, as if it were an old bucket of bolts and therefore that had something to do with your kit 9926 not giving me the results I was looking for. But, we both know that was not the problem. And you really didn't explain to them that your suggestion to use the urethane spacers was nothing more than an effort to jerry-rig the front spring height and that the pictures I sent you documented that fact.

I really believe if there was a solution to my situation, you would have resolved the problem, but there was no resolving the issue, so your hands were pretty much tied. I also believe you were told to not respond to my last letter to you. And if that is correct, I understand your position. I believe you know that I wrote to [redacted] (GF CEO) and he chose not to respond, so that tells me a lot.
