Group ISO response: Group ISO has reviewed the response made by Mr. [redacted] in regards to complaint ID [redacted]. We have found that Mr. [redacted] is not a merchant of ours and cannot legally speak on behalf of these merchants we believe he is referring to. The Reserve Releases we believe Mr. [redacted] is referring to were submitted, reviewed and approved by Group ISO prior to Mr. [redacted]’s initial complaint. All approved release forms returned to Group ISO with the proper authorization and documentation are sent to our Acquiring Bank to initiate the Reserve Release requested. As stated in the previous response Mr. [redacted] is more than welcome to call us if he has any further questions.  Sincerely,

Group ISO has reviewed the response made by Mr. [redacted] in regards to complaint ID [redacted].Per our previous responses Mr. [redacted] is not on any paperwork we have with these specific merchants he is referring to. Group ISO takes the privacy and securi** of our merchants very seriously and therefore we follow strict industry standard legal guidelines set forth in our Merchant Processing Agreement. Group ISO has been and still is actively working to get this resolved for these merchants. As of now, 6 of the 8 merchant account reserves Mr. [redacted] is referring to have been released to the merchant’s bank accounts on file. We are diligently working on the 2 remaining reserves and the documentation and verification needed to release these remaining reserves. As always, Mr. [redacted] is more than welcome to call us if he has any further questions.

activi**. Without knowing the name or account number of the merchant filing this dispute it is difficult to name specifics however the merchant above seems to be referring to the Address Verification System (AVS) and the CVV or the 3-digit code found on the back of a credit card. These features are provided by the Card Brands and are considered Best Practices for merchants as a safe guard to help protect against potential fraud and chargebacks. Group ISO and our sponsoring banks require these features to be in place and used by specific merchant **pes such as ecommerce and mail or telephone order merchants to ensure the merchant is validating the card holder information and not allowing fraudulent transactions. In section 10.3 of the Merchant Program Guide which is signed by all merchants prior to approval, the AVS and CVV requirements are clearly outlined for Card Not Present Transactions as a necessi** to reduce the risk of receiving fraudulent transactions and thus chargebacks. Group ISO takes 100% liabili** for all merchants which means we use these tools to protect their business while also safeguarding our portfolio. If Group ISO establishes a relationship with a client that requires a reserve, we not only have the merchant sign and return a Merchant Agreement (MA) and Program Guide, they also sign and return a Merchant Reserve Acknowledgement and Acceptance form. This form lays out the reserve terms which includes Section 3 that states “The balance of the reserve account, if any, will be returned to Merchant up to 270 days after termination of the Merchant Agreement or Merchant’s last transmission of sales drafts, whichever is later.”  All reserve funds are held by our sponsoring banks and are never able to be accessed by Group ISO; we are required to follow all rules set forth by the banks when releasing reserves which does include verifying the bank account receiving the deposit, verifying the business address and verifying the signor on the account is requesting the release Our sponsoring banks ask us to advise our merchants the release process can take up to 30 days before the merchant receives their deposit, Group ISO does not have any control over the bank policies. Our Risk Department actively reviews all reserve accounts in our day to day operations as well as by merchant request. We will do anything possible to release reserves back to our merchants as we understand the challenges of running a successful business. Group ISO takes reserve releases very seriously and if the above merchant has any questions specifically about their Reserve or release amounts they are welcome to call us at 800-960-0135.
