can assure you nothing like this has ever happened at our establishment and never will again. It is my plan to terminate whom ever it was immediately. Although I have not yet contacted the owner of Smart Buy Tire Inc (Doug [redacted]), I assume that his response is sincere and I perceive it to be fair. I, therefore, accept their response and hope that the matter will be completely resolved in due course. I regret that the Revdex.com had to become involved in this situation, but I was left with no other option. Thank you very much for your help and understanding!

Mr. [redacted] claims his tires were unsafe. Unfortunately, he claims that one tire was at 43 lbs of pressure. The tire that was installed on his vehicle is rated for 32-44lbs of pressure. In no way was the vehicle ever in an "unsafe" condition.  At the very most...you might feel a slight pulling...

sensation on a naturally crowned road. (case in point...why he was fine driving home...and didn't experience a problem until later when he took a road trip) When we were  notified by phone he was unhappy and that he felt something was wrong, we immediately asked him to bring it back.  He is wrong however in that he was actually speaking with the owner when he brought the vehicle back in, not a mechanic.  I clarified by asking several questions that he did not have a shimmy of any kind..which would rule out a balance problem. He also received a free wheel alignment at the time on installation  and his front end was checked for tightness and alignment. This of course ruled out a front end problem. When he explained what was happening I told him we would get it right in. He proceeded to go on and on and on in the waiting room in front of other clients, to the point of asking "do you even know how to seat in a tire?" and "do you even know how to balance a tire?" He proceeded to become angry and questioned my abilities. When it became clear the customer was becoming belligerent and argumentative I did ask him to leave and never come back. Please keep in mind...nothing defective was found with his vehicle. There was nothing out of balance, nothing loose, nothing unsafe. Simply letting some air out of one tire was the fix to the problem. The fact this has gotten so out of hand is worrisome. Had he allowed us the opportunity to fix the problem...(letting air out of a tire) this would not have escalated. Unfortunately I can not allow someone to stand in my waiting room and be belligerent toward me or my staff. Sometimes it becomes necessary to end the conversation before it gets out of hand. We would like to honor his free tire rotations and free flat repairs that come at no charge with the purchase of a set of new tires.  Provided he can be civil during his appointments. Unfortunately, I do not feel paying funds as remuneration of any kind is something we would be responsible for or willing to do.  Our business rating is something we pride ourselves on. It would be a shame to feel strong armend for money because of this complaint. Gauges go bad. Humans make errors...let's all thank the Lord nothing serious happened and go on with our lives.
