Review: I was in the office for my yearly preventative care visit. It was discovered that I had elevated blood pressure and because of this I was charged $125.00. I should not be charged for my first wellness visit of the year per the mandates of the Affordable Care Act and have asked for this to be corrected numerous times. Dr. [redacted] states that bc they found a problem I am responsible for that amount. That is not how the preventative care visits are to work... She is trying to double dip on collecting payments.Desired Settlement: No charge for preventative care! It's the law.

December 31, 2013 To Whom a May Concern, This patient was seen on March 27, 2013 on an emergent basis from her Gynecologist. We accomodated her for increased bloood pressure. Patient had not had a physical since October 17, 2011 so a physical was performed along with a sick visit for her increased blood pressure, On this day her insurance paid for her physical. They did not pay for her sick visit due to HER deductible. On March 28, 2013 the patient was seen by the doctor and nurse. This was also a sick visit which is her deductible. She was again seen on April 4, 2013 for a sick visit, which again is her deductible. The patients insurance pays for one physical per year at no cost to the patient which they did. The rest of the vistits are considered sick and under the patients insurance this is her resonsibiltiy due to her deductible. This has been discussed with the patient several times but the patient refuses to pay for her March 27, 2013 sick visit. We have tried to resolve this issue with the patient through several phone conversations, but to no avail. Thank you, Dr [redacted] 1
