The bathroom and kitchen sinks were gurgling off and on for a few weeks and then I found standing water outside where we thought the septic tanks may be located. We had recently just moved into the older home with no prior information about the house from the previous owner. We had another company come out, poke a metal stick around about ten times and from THAT, decided that we had a cast iron sheet over the tank that had rusted and adhered to the tank which was blocking water from going into the system....$1500...then he proceeds to add $2400 to the leaching system that has root damage and needs to be bored out. REALLY!! All that from poking around a stick! Yeah, right! Good bye! Next guy was Grover Brown Septic Tanks and it was a MUCH BETTER experience. By now it was getting about 4pm, and when I called them, a young man asked what my issues were, told me he would contact his Dad which was out on the truck. It wasn't 20 minutes later and here they come backing down my drive! They guys had to dig to find the lids, told me why they were doing ever step. Found what type of system I had, where the lids were located, inspected the leach field which was just FINE and pumped out the tank. With all the rain and as much run off we get, the water was seeping into the tank and had over filled it. He told me the fix for the water seepage if we wanted to do it ourselves and gave me the price if they do it. They were THE NICEST, very knowledgeable and professional "get down to business" folks I have had the pleasure of working with. Grover Brown Septic Tanks will always have my business and I will definitely refer them to my neighbors!! Great Job Grover Brown! Oh, and it cost me less than a 1/4 of the first it I called! YEAY!!!!
