Review: I placed an internet order # 3299 on 1/9/14 for 4 roses at $21.99 each for a total of 114.46 including shipping cost with a Mr. [redacted]. He requested payment via Paypal on 1/25/15 through a company called BP Wholesale Growers for $114.46 which was paid and he informed me that the roses were being prepared for shipment by Fed-ex. When I had not received the order, I sent an email on 2/18 and [redacted] advised on 2/19 that the order was to be shipped in a few days. I still did not receive the order. I wrote an email again on 3/7/14 with no reply. Called on 3/20/14 and spoke to [redacted] and was told by him that he "screw up" and he was shipping Fed-ex today or tomorrow. When I researched on the internet I see now that this company is a fraud and being investigated by the DA and has no license. He list three addresses. My invoice says [redacted]. Two more addresses are listed at [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like a refund and like the county to stop this business operation.

Review: I ordered 5 rose bushes at the beginning of May. I received the invoice for them a few weeks later. I sent a check and was told they would hold my check until more of my roses arrived. They cashed my check on June 11, 2013 (although their email says it was received on June 17th, my bank statement would beg to differ). On July 17th, 2013 I still had not received my roses, so I emailed regarding the status of my order. I received the following reply: "It will not be shipped, I am done with East Coast roses for this year" I followed up asking if I would be getting a refund since I was not getting my product. No response. I then followed up demanding a refund within one week (by August 6th, 2013) and still no response. I want my money back. I don't like being ripped off.Desired Settlement: I want my money back. $184.72. That is all.

Review: On 4/2/2014 I purchased five rose shrubs from Growquest. I paid 133.27 for the shrubs via paypal. Thew merchant listed on the paypal receipt was ABP Wholesale Growers. When the roses didn't arrive by May 30, 2014, I contacted [redacted] via phone. I have spoken with him three additional times since then. Each time he promised that I would receive the roses within a week. Once the hard frost set in for the winter I naturally assumed that I would be waiting until spring for the shipment. The phone number at the business is now disconnected.Desired Settlement: I accept that I will never receive these roses (which I wanted very much and was willing to wait for), but sure would like my money back.

Review: Growquest and its owner Christopher Morgan Gilcrest aka Chris Gilcrest are fraudsters pure and simple. We placed an order of more than 30 rose bushes, only after an email exchange to confirm his ability to fill the order, he offered a discount for a check, which we then mailed. The check was cashed upon receipt and endorsed by [redacted] It was NOT endorsed by any business. After time had passed we began emailing asking for tracking information ZERO RESPONSE Daily emails from us asking the status, then a reply saying it shipped and daily emails did not help we received four plants ordered and a mystery plant, Chris claimed was a gift (Yes a gift that cost us over $500) he claimed the rest would be shipped within a few days, that was a month ago back to the daily emails asking for details of the shipments no response then a marketing/spam message claiming all outstanding orders would be shipped as he was getting in a large shipment big surprise NO EMAILs No Tracking Detail and NO SHIPMENTS no replies to any email the phone number he provided are all burn phones with the exception of his toll-free number which is just an ultra-annoying rambling that gets you nowhere. We demanded a refund after missing most our planting season NO REPLY Weve now filed police reports locally and in California. There is no business, there is no nursery he is a middleman sometimes at best and very deceitful. Though wed love the flowers ordered to arrive we now would settle for a refund, alas assuming the best at this point all we can do is warn everyone else to stay away. If youve been unfortunate enough to do business with him, file police reports, though each order on its own is small the sum of the parts is huge and amounts to Mail Fraud, Grand Larceny and a few other criminal charges will inevitably land this man in prison, which he most definitely deserves.Desired Settlement: Refund or deliver what was ordered!

Review: Ordered and paid for a rose plant in February and have never received it. Chris Gilcrest does not respond to emails or phone calls. Would like a refund but can't get any response.Desired Settlement: Would like a refund of my charges.

Review: On May 20, 2014, I ordered seven roses with this company for a total of $187.66. I received an email several days later that the roses were to be shipped the following Tuesday.I never received the roses & tried to contact this company several times via email, phone, and their online chat service. Their telephone message service does not let you leave a message. There was one message response to the "chat" notes I sent saying [redacted] would call me the next day but he never did call. There were no responses to my emails except for one saying in part that he was out skating, ended up in the ocean, got washed up on shore being attended to beautiful women who fed him and gave him drinks and did I still want the roses.I do not believe that Growquest is in the business of selling and shipping roses. I believe it is a front for some other illegal business and that it should be shut down and not allowed to advertise over the internet.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund. I think [redacted]hould not be allowed to continue to do business in the United States.

Review: On June 26th or 27th, 2013 my father ordered a rose bush from Growquest as a gift for me. On that same day he received a bill total and sent a check for the total due. The check was cashed. On two separate occasions in the last month I contacted the company. Once through the link provided on their website, and once using the email address provided in their voicemail system ([email protected]). In the email I provided their original correspondence including the FedEx Home form, my father's email including the check number and the date on which it was cashed. I requested that the company help to resolve the issue. I have not received any correspondence from the company, and it is now greater than 30 days after the order.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the rose that was ordered. This was to be a gift from my parents. The rose was ordered as a bare root rose, and if that cannot safely be shipped at this time of the summer, then I feel the company should send a potted rose in its place. In addition, me, or my father, should receive an email notification with shipping and tracking information. His email address is [email protected]

Review: On April 2, 2013, I placed an order (#2002) with Growquest for 6 roses from their online service. I received a confirmation of the transaction (Customer ID# 2155) on the same day (4:22 p.m.). Payment via personal check was sent on 4/17 for $144.71. The check cleared my banking account on the 25th. I was told that the roses would be sent the last week in April. After six emails and two phone calls, requesting information about delivery, I received two, one-line responses that more roses would be arriving at Growquest. On May 29th, I sent a final email, demanding notice that a refund was forthcoming; or I would contact the authorities. With no response yet again, I am contacting the Revdex.com in Santa Barbara and asking for assistance. This behavior from Growquest (Mr. Chris Gilcrest) is unethical and borders on the illegal. It is inconceivable to me that any business would be run so incompetently, unless the business, itself, were corrupt. Now that I have pursued this business's reputation on the internet, I see that my experience is far from unique. I request your assistance in this matter and desire a full and immediate refund of my purchase. Thank you in advance.Desired Settlement: A cashier's check for $144.71 sent to my home address: 284 [redacted]

Review: February 23, 2015, I ordered online a Rosa White Eden Rose plant in a #5 container from the company and paid via credit card for $60.45. The company sent two email confirmations, the second email stating, "We will deliver a potted White Eden to you in 10-14 days".February 24, 2015, a company representative telephoned me at 9:57 a.m. and spoke with me for two minutes, verifying my credit card information for a charge of $42.99 and stating that "there is no shipping charge" and that the rose plant "will arrived within 5 days".February 28, 2015, Square, a credit card processing company, sent me an email receipt confirming that Square has sent payment to The Ladybug Company, a Growquest company.March 12, 2015, I have not received the rose plant after the February 24, 2015 company representative's statement "will arrived in 5 days" or after the February 23, 2015 email confirmation statement "We will deliver a potted White Eden to you in 10-14 days". I telephoned the company; however, a recording stated its employees are busy and advised the caller to leave an email.March 12, 2015, I emailed the company and requested a shipping date and a tracking number.March 17, 2015, I emailed the company and requested a response to my March 12, 2015 email inquiry.March 18, 2015, No response from the companyDesired Settlement: The company needs to refund my $42.99 credit card payment.

Review: A story you have heard many times before! Ordered a tree rose from [redacted], and paid through Pay Pal on March 14, 2014, $103.49, receipt 2899-9084-1554-1659. On 3/21/2014, he sent me an email that it was being shipped the following Monday. Have not received the Tree Rose, nor will [redacted] respond to numerous emails regarding this order and/or refund. I researched this company after the fact and learned that they have a history of not delivering the merchandise or refunding the money, and that ABP Wholesale Growers, who was to ship the rose has been out of business since 2010!Desired Settlement: Refund of $103.49 for the nondelivery of merchandise.

Review: Dear Revdex.com,I am writing to report a complaint against Growquest. I purchased several roses from Growquest and when I finally received my order I was missing the FireFighter rose. This was one that was special to me and my wife since it was in memory for her grandmother that had past away. We never received the rose and contacted [redacted]. He said we could pick out another rose and two more roses for the mistake. I thought this was very kind of him and a gracious way to make up for the mistake. Now over a year later and after lots of e-mails with promises that the roses are being shipped I have yet to see them. I have sent [redacted] several e-mails ask if he's ok and what is the status on my roses. No reply. Then I get a e-mail blast saying that he had to take some time off due to an illness. I understand that as well. I sent a few more e-mails asking about my order and no reply. Then I requested a refund since I was not getting a response. Attached is the invoice and the check that I sent to Growquest which was more than the invoice amount. I really didn't care about over paying I just wanted the roses that I was promised. At this point if the roses are not going to be sent I would like to have a refund for what was not shipped. Feel free to contact me if you need more information. I have all of the e-mails that have been sent back and forth. Thank you,Brian ArnoldDesired Settlement: If Chris is unable to ship the rose that was missing from my order I would like a refund.

Review: My parents purchased a Rosa Just Joey 36" Standard Tree Rose Potted Plant (PRT36JustJoeyCa) on 3/20/2014. My father paid for the plant $49.99 online through guest paypal services. After he made payment he received a bill from Grow Quest for an additional S&H charge. He attempted numerous times to contact [redacted] regarding this additional charge and to request a refund. The payment cleared on 3/21/2014, so Mr. [redacted] received his money but will not ship the plant until the additional SH charge is received. It is now the wrong season for this plant and my parents are out $49.99. Mr. [redacted] does not respond in a timely manner to emails, he waited until we can no longer dispute this matter with paypal to answer numerous emails. My brother (Joey) passed away and my parents wanted this plant (Just Joey) to remember him by ~ instead they are out $49.99.Desired Settlement: Refund in the amount of $49.** the agreed upon price at the time of purchase. Receipt ID: 4505-0**3-5321-5456

Review: I ordered a rose from this company in May 2013 online using my credit card. I receive an e-mail stating the plants were ready to be shipped after payment was received. I mailed a check and also e-mailed them about the credit card ( according to my bank records my credit card was not charged), I have been e-mailing back and forth with this company with a person named Chris asking when my product would be shipped or could I get a refund. At this point I just want a refund. My family wanted this rose to go in my mother's memory garden. It has been very disappointing for my father waiting on the flower since it was my mother's favorite. The e-mails I have received have been very rude as well. They are not a very professional company, the only way you can communicate with them is via e-mail.Desired Settlement: I just want my money returned so I can go elsewhere to get this rose. I will not use this company ever again.

Response:

Customer did not use a credit card to make the order and I would need a copy of the check to make a refund.

Review: Placed an Order #3210 to Growquest online on 9-29-13.Spent a lot of time viewing Growquest's beautiful roses! I ordered a quantity of 9 "Bareroot Roses," totaling $169.60.I was sent an Email saying my Roses would ship in Spring of 2014 & I would be charged then.It is now May 15, 2014. On May 6, 2014 I sent an Email to Growquest, asking when my Order would ship. No reply from Growquest.I sent a 2cd Email to Growquest on May 12, 2014.I received Email back from Growquest saying, "the Roses I ordered aren't available anymore in Bareroot" Also, Growquest says, "if I wanted the Roses now they're available in containers for a higher price & higher s/h cost!" Chris Gilcrest, owner goes on to say, I wasn't charged & won't be charged! This is an outrageous attempt to force me to pay higher prices for Roses ordered in plenty of time to plant here in PA!Also, another example of Private Business, hardly accountable for their actions!I've been on Growquest's website & my Roses are still there in Bareroot form!I've sent Email expressing my unhappiness on May 13, 2013! No reply from Mr. Gilcrest. Also, in that last Email, Ive stated, I'm still owed for a replacement Rose of 19.99! I've waited for these Roses since Sept 29, 2013.Desired Settlement: I just want the Roses I've ordered! No excuses! I feel this is a good company but, also they are overworked & overlooked my Order!I just want it made right!

Review: I placed an order for 2 angiozanthos (plants) online through Growquest on May 8. I received an email from [redacted] that indicated he did not accept credit card purchases for online orders. If I wanted the plants, I had to send him a check. The email also indicted the plants would be shipped the middle of May. I sent a reply to the email and told him I wanted the plants and was placing a check in the mail that day. I sent the check for $87.47 made payable to Growquest Nursery. It was cashed by [redacted]. I did not receive any confirmation from him that he received the check or when the plants would be shipped. I began calling him the third week of May to get a status update. I continually left messages. He did not return my calls. On June 3, I just happened to get through to him. He indicated he had my check and my order was on his desk--he would get his assistant to ship the plant out that week. No plants ever came. I called him daily leaving messages--no replies. I sent emails without reply until June 16 when I received a bizzare email from him. He indicated he was out skateboarding streets along the Malibu coast, got some wicked down hill runs in. Ended up at a beach and went surfing, blah blah blah. He would back at work that day. Did I still want the plant. I emailed him that I had paid for the plant and communicated through voicemails and emails that I wanted the plants. I kept calling him and leaving messages. I told him, I wanted the plants or my money back---no response.Desired Settlement: I want my money back. This person is dishonest and basically committed fraud. He should be stopped. There are many posts on the internet with people having the same issue with him. I did not investigate him prior to my purchase---my bad. I learned a painful lesson.

Review: An order was placed on March 13th: Order: EmailOrder_10016785Product Name: Snail Destroyer 100 - Decollate snails 100 countItem#: RD100Unit Price: $15.49Quantity: 2Shipping Method: FedEx Home DeliverySales Tax: $2.56Shipping & Handling: $16.50Grand Total: $50.04. I was assured, via e-mail on March 23rd, that my order would go out the following day, Monday March 24. I did not recieve my order. After numerous unanswered e-mails, I called the seller on Thursday April 3 requesting the status of my order. Once again I was assured the order would be recieved the next day, Friday, April 4. Nothing was received. Again my e-mails requesting the status were ignored. I called the seller again this afternoon where he proceeded to yell and hang up on me. I have asked the seller for a refund in writing and on our call today. It is apparent I will not recieve my goods nor my refund.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $50.04 for goods paid for and not received.

Review: Roses were ordered on 8/18/2013 to be shipped in the spring 2014. They have not been shipped. They were paid for by personal check on 3/24/2014. Check deposited to my bank on 4/01/2014. Product has not arrived. The seller has not communicated with me about the order since early April.Desired Settlement: If the roses are not available, please refund my money.

Review: I ordered 1,500 farm fresh ladybugs from Growquest Nursery for $6.49 and the shipping was $14.76 (I assumed the shipping price was so high to keep the ladybugs alive from CA to VA). The purchase was made 5/6/13. The total $21.25 - it may not be much to most but for a minimum wage worker that's two hours of my life. I did not receive my ladybugs. I called their offices twice at different times of the day but there was no answer. I sent emails to rectify the situation and then threatening to notify the Revdex.com. Silence.Desired Settlement: Because the aphids in my garden have already eaten most of my peas and basil I think it's too late to battle them with the ladybugs. I request a full refund for my purchase that Growquest failed to deliver.
