On October 21, student's mother signed up her son for a complete driver's education program with AA Indiana Driving School, Inc. Mom was asked to read and sign a contract with policies and procedures included. According to our records, we did not hear from student or student's
mother again until August of 2016, when mom stated her son had a "medical condition" start a couple of days after signing up for driver's education with our office. She stated that the student was now eligible to receive his license without driver's education and that she wanted to transfer the course to her daughter. I ( as the office manager) explained to her that it was not transferable and that her son could still benefit from driver's education reagardless of age. She then asked for a refund in which I explained that per the contract she signed on Oct21, that refunds were not given and again that we were willing to provide the services paid for and requested. Mom was very upset and hung up. We did not hear from mom again until September 7, when mom called and was transfered to me, the office manager. Mom asked again if she could transfer the course to her daughter and again I explained that it was not transferable and that her son could still take driver's education. Mom again stated that her son had developed a "medical condition" days after signing up that prevented him from taking the course and he was old enough that he did not need driver's education. Mom then asked me if I was going to keep her money and I responded that she paid for a service that we are still willing to provide regardless of his age. Mom then got even more upset and hung up. At no point did I or the receptionist hang up on her.We are willing to provide the service that was requested and it is our belief that the student does not want to take the course now. The student had to study to obtain his permit from the BMV as the students have to take a written test to obtain their permit and as the student had signed up for an online driver's education course, he could have taken this course any time between October and August 2016. This course preps the student for the written test at the BMV and to prepare the student for their behind the wheel lessons. The student according to age and BMV requirements is not yet eligible for his license for at least monthes and could still take the course. As the student has to hold their permit for days and practice supervised driving hours before trying for his license, therefore the student could have taken the driver's education course
