Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response...

made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted].  I met with the business to discuss options and after a lengthy discussion we ended up coming to an agreement. I settled far below what I deserve for the hassle I have gone through but I just want to put it all behind me. I am not happy and still believe that this is a mediocre business at best that excels at shoddy automotive work, anything to move the product. After coming to said agreement I left the business and went shopping, later I opened my trunk to find the inside of my hatch is falling apart. They do not deserve an A+ rating when they do D- work.

We have been in business with the Revdex.com for eleven years with an A+ rating.  We would like to have the customer contact us so we can work something out with her.  We would like to keep our rating at A+ Thank you.

Review: I purchased a 2005 Honda Accord from them on 03-05-11. The car was in a previous accident which was disclosed to me, and they repaired all damages from this accident before the sale of the car. On the Wisconsin Buyer's Guide it claimed the repair had passed state inspection, including the repair of the frame/structural portion of unibody of which the description on the form reads "includes damage, weakened by rust, repairs, alignment". Within 1.5 years after purchase though, the hood of the car (which was repaired from previous accident) had started to rust. This has since spread across and up the hood of the car aggressively, and also onto the front left fender (also part of the repair). The hood and front left fender of the car is now significantly rusted beyond repair, and must be replaced, repainted, and buffed. A local quote for the job was $1,845. I emailed G.S. Auto to inform them of the rust in March of this year. I sent a second email soon after, neither with any response. I then called G.S. Auto last month to explain, and they refused to offer any help, explaining that this just happened from normal wear/tear. I also own a 1998 Nissan Altima that has been driven in the same way as this Honda, but my Nissan has no rust whatsoever, therefore I conclude it was the original repair job on the Honda which has led to this rust. They said they would have someone follow up with me next week, but no one did. I am simply asking for perhaps the invoice of the repair that was done to the car, to indicate who performed the repair and determine if it was done properly. My suspicion is that there was moisture that seeped under the paint during the initial repair, which caused the hood and fender to rust from the inside out. My sales invoice indicates that all repairs were completed properly and legally, but the widespread rusting of the repaired parts are a clear indication their initial claim was false. I believe either G.S. Auto is responsible for paying for the replacement and repainting of parts, or whoever they hired to do the auto body repair after the accident is responsible for doing a negligent job which led to rust so quickly.Desired Settlement: I do not want them to "re-repair" the parts, as I would prefer to have it repaired locally so I can trust it will be done right. I am asking only for the replacement of the rusted/defective hood and fender, repainting, and buffing. I would even be willing to concede the buffing of the parts, as this will be done to blend in the color of the new parts with the rest of the car's color. I would request a cashiers check to pay for these repairs, which locally I was quoted at $1,845. Also, I did not receive an invoice from them for the repairs that were done originally, so that would be helpful as well.

RE: COMPLAINT #[redacted] TO WHOME IT MAY CONCERNE SORRY TO SAY THAT THIS IS OUR FIRST COMPLAINT WE HAVE HAD OF THIS TYPE WE HAVE HAD MECHANICAL ISSUES IN THE PAST & HAVE ALWAYS HELPED OUT OUR CUSTOMERS. { IF IT HAPPENS IN A REASONABLE TIME} HOWEVER THIS GENTELMAN CLAIMES THIS PROBLUM OCCOURD 1.5 YEARS AGO & HE HAS HAD THE CAR FOR 3.3 YEARS NOW PERHAPS IF HE WOULD HAVE CONTACTED US SOONER LETS SAY 6 MONTHS TO A YEAR WE COULD HAVE HELPED HIM IN THE BODY SHOPS THAT WE USE { NOT HIS }. WE UNDERSTAND HE LIVES FAR AWAY & IT WOULD NOT BE CONVIENENT FOR HIM TO BRING THE CAR TO US. BUT IT JUST IS NOT POSSIBLE TO HELP HIM WHEN THE CAR IS 2-3 HOURS AWAY. IF WE MAILED OUT CHECKS TO EVERY [redacted] FOR PROBLUMS THAT OCCURE OVER 3.3 YEARS WE WOULD BE BANKRUPT & NOT BE ABLE TO OFFER THE QUALITY AUTOMOBILES THAT WE DO. GS TAKES EVERY COMPLAINT SERIOUSLY & STRIVES TO MAINTAIN THE Revdex.com A+ RATING THAT WE HAVE ACCOMPLISHED. { NOT VERY EASY TO DO IN THE USED CAR BUISNESS } WHAT WE WILL DO IS FAX THE VEHICLE INSPECTION CERTIFICATION FROM STATE OF WISCONSIN STATE PATROL OVER TO THE Revdex.com FOR THERE REVIEW.SORRY WE CAN NOT WARRANTY PAINT WORK FROM 3 YEARS AGO. Response:

as we said in our previous statement sorry we can not help this customer and we consider this matter CLOSED!!! if this brings down our A+ rating so be it. this complaint sounds more like a shakedown & we refuse to compensate him. if he wants to bring the car to us & drop it off for a week perhaps we can do something for him other then that he is on his own.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Ironically my wife was driving the car today and got in a minor accident. She is ok, but the hood of car is severely dented, and it was the other driver's fault. Lucky for all of us, the hood should be replaced and paid for by the other driver's insurance company. The front left fender is still rusted though, so I will have to replace that myself which will still be costly. I'll take it as an expensive lesson to not buy a car that was previously in an accident, but this was NOT a shakedown as a rusted 2005 Honda is not acceptable since it was housed in a garage and used in the same manner as my other non-rusted older car. It seems clear it was due to the replacement of the hood that GSS was responsible for, but again, lesson learned.

Review: On 10/1/15 I bought a 2007 Scion TC from GS Auto Sales; [redacted] was the salesman I worked with (found out very quickly he doesn't know anything about cars) and the obvious repairs that needed to be done were the scion decal that was missing and the tire pressure light would not shut off. I returned on 10/2/15 to pick up the vehicle and was told the decal was ordered and it should be in within a week and the owner told me he tried two "brand new" sensors and couldn't get the tire light off. I returned 10/5/15 and told [redacted] the center console handle was broken off, the interior heat control/clock lights don't work and that there is a noise coming from the hatch. They told me they couldn't do anything to fix the tire pressure light so I waited for them to fix the hatch. The owner came over and told me it was fixed and sent me on my way. I made it to the stop sign in front of the building before it started making the noise again. I tried bringing it back in on 10/12/15 and was told that was too busy of a day, I work retail and don't have a set schedule. On 10/24/15 my front driver's side tire blew out. AAA put my donut on and told me I needed 4 new tires and a new battery. I brought the car back on 10/26/15 and was rudely confronted by the owner saying that it is my opinion and the AAA guy's opinion that I need new tires and battery but his opinion is that I do not and he would add "acid" to the battery and give me prices for new tires. [redacted] told me he had the decal for over a week (no one called me). I asked for a loaner, they refused, I said I would rent he said no and made me wait over 2 hours to put a "new" free tire on add "acid" to the battery and "fix" the hatch. I was still in the parking lot when the noise resumed. On 11/16/15 I brought the car to a Scion Dealer. I spent $1456.26 in labor/repairs (everything is still not fixed) that GS Auto should have caught. The tires alone are under legal tread depth for selling. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE.Desired Settlement: I refuse to bring the car back for any more alleged repairs since nothing was ever actually being repaired all of the other times that I brought it in. This car was obviously not inspected before being put on the lot, [redacted] told me after the test drive on 10/1/15 that they had had it maybe about a week. I deserve some kind of refund for all of the wasted time and repairs that should have been completed before anyone bought it.
