Review: Hello:[redacted] gave an minimum quote over the phone of $34 service charge for coming out to the house, and $17 for every fifteen minutes. From the time he walked in the door to when he left he was not even here fifteen minutes. While he was here he got two calls from clients where he took the time to write up a billing order, take all the information and so on. I went back in the rec room to find out what he was doing. When he got off the phone he told me that the knob just got bumped; the temperature switch was inbetween so, there was nothing wrong with my machine. He told me that this type of thing "happens all the time". Since he wasn't even here for fifteen minutes, plus he spent the time he was here, on the phone, I figured he would not charge me as much, but when he handed my his bill I was shocked!He charged me $25.00 for labour!, $39.50 for Service Charge!, and $5.29 for GST whatever that is (sales tax?)! Total bill was: $69.79! I told him the bill could not possibly be right, he started telling me other companies would charge me more. He said he'd been here for fifteen minutes. I told him he was not! It took him one minute to find the problem, and there was nothing was broken, no repair needed. He told me he'd take off $10 dollars, big deal! I still paid more than I should have. By his quote over the phone the service charge was $34, plus $17 for fifteen minutes (which he did not do) would come to $54.00 plus sales tax 4.32 is: $58.32. That is $58.32 for doing nothing to fix my machine! Nothing! But yet, he charged me $69.79! That is $11.47 too much!He is a liar, and a thief! He needs to be shut down, or at least reprimanded for quoting false estimates.Desired Settlement: I would like for [redacted] to refund all of my money except the the #34.00 service charge! I paid him $60.00 so, I want him to pay me back $26.00. This is only right and fair.

Dear Sir,

, We recieved your letter concerning [redacted] complaint. Concerning the charges to the customer we do believe them to be fair. We have a 39.50 service call charge and are 17.00 per fifteen minutes total 56.50 state tax 4.63 total 61.13 we charged her a flat 60.00 for the repair on her mechine. But to settle the matter we will send her a check for 26.00.
