I spoke to this customer and asked follow up questions about pipe leak - she advised me and other reps in the office that she did not want Jeff back to her home After reviewing the file w/ the owner, Eric called the customer and advised her that he would issue a full refund to her
We processed the full refund to back to her credit card on 8/and I have attached a copy of that refund We absolutely do NOT agree to reimburse her for any work another plumber does for her We hope that this response and the fact that she was given a full refund will close out this complaint. Thank You Debbie M***Guaranteed Plumbing

I am rejecting this response because:I would not have had to put out another $to repair his shoddy work if they would have come out and fixed their workI did ask for someone else initially as the plumber they sent did not know what he was doingI then agreed to send him or anybody to have it repairedIt cost me more money and almost the sale of my house as the home inspection uncovered the shoddy repairI can forward receipt received from Sullivan plumbing upon request

needed. When we started the bathroom faucet work the existing tiles were cracked and fell off. We are not responsible for this tile work which seems to be original to the property. The customer called us out for work as this faucet had a constant leak. I am not sure how long the faucet leaked but that could be another attributing factor to the tile work needed. October 17, 2014Dear [redacted]:I am familiar with this job and have replied once already to this complaint. I have to respond again by the reports from my tech which is that the tiles had existing cracks and when we removed the faucet the existing tiles fell apart. I am sure this tile work was original to the property and to quote the home owner directly it is an "antique" bathroom. I also can attest that there was a plumbing issue with the faucet as part of their reason for calling us service. Our contract was written on Sept. 16 and the work was scheduled for Sept. 19th. It is not uncommon for one rep to inspect and write a job and another rep be assigned to the install. Both reps have well over 10 plus years experience. Please be advised that we are willing to send another representative out to re-evaluate the tile work needed. We have carpenter's and tile men on staff. We want to satisfy our customers and provide for their plumbing needs, however we are not willing to redo their tile work at no charge or to refund them any monies.I will wait for your response to see if you would like to set up a 2nd consultation.Service Manager

I am rejecting this response because Guaranteed Plumbing and Heating or Guaranteed Plumbing Inc. should pay for the damages they caused at my home in our bathroom.  I have attached a letter explaining why we disagree and pictures showing the damage they caused and the excellent condition of our tiles in the bathroom before the job except the new hole the company created!

Review: On or around September 12, 2014 I contacted Guaranteed Plumbing and Heating for services to my 1st Floor Main Bathroom faucet (remove and install new 8 inch 3 part valve), a new shower head, and replace kitchen faucet with spray. On September 16, 2014 in the afternoon Mr. Ray B[redacted] came to our home and reviewed the work and completed a Job Work Order (contract) and he discussed with myself and my husband what would be done and that we would get a senior citizen discount which brought the whole total of the job to $950.00. We agreed on the contract and my husband [redacted] signed the contract and gave Ray B[redacted] a check (#1931) in the amount of $400.00 as a deposit. The contract states that the work has an estimated start date of September 19, 2014.

The work did start on September 19, 2014 as stated in the contract but another gentleman came out to complete the work, not R. Ray B[redacted] as we thought. The specific work that was done in the kitchen was done well but the gentleman did not place things back the way they were. My portable washer/dryer was not place back in the right location so I cannot open my dryer I will now have to pay someone to come out and move my dryer back to its original location. The bathroom work was a disaster the gentleman broke the tiles on my bath shower walls right around my replaced faucet. He then proceeded to tell us that the crack was already there and that we would never be able to take shower's again because the water will run between the cracks and down to our basement. My husband did write a check for the remaining balance of $550.00, check #[redacted] on September 19, 2014. Not paying them would be bad business and paying the balance of what we owed does not reflect that we agreed with the disastrous work that was done. We feel that we were taken advantage of as senior citizens. This work was poor quality and the gentleman cause extensive damage to our property and blamed us, we did not put the crack in the tiles and we sure did not have any problems prior to them coming to our house with water dripping into our basement from the shower. The shower is unusable and the tiles are permanently damaged.

This gentleman proceeded to write a Job Work Order (new contract) for the services for the replacement of the complete tile wall in my bathroom in the amount of $5,100.00.Desired Settlement: I want the repair of the damage this gentleman has caused without cost to me. He stated the cost will be $5,100.00 and I feel as though Guaranteed Plumbing and Heating should repair that damage for free.

Review: On 2/18/13, I hired Guaranteed Plumbing to complete some plumbing work in my home. I initially met with [redacted] (Last name unknown) who came out to write up the contract and collect a deposit for the plumbing service. I had serious water damage to my home and told [redacted] that I had filed a claim with my insurance company. [redacted] then informed me that he worked with this great public adjuster named [redacted] who also does home rebuilds and that this adjuster would make sure my insurance company payed me a lot more than what I would get if I worked on the claim myself. [redacted] told me that the insurance company would not pay me fairly and if I said one thing wrong, my whole claim would get denied. He then had [redacted] of [redacted] Adjustment Agency contact me and I hired him on 2/20/13. Since then, my experience with [redacted] has been awful. I have been filing complaints with and against [redacted] since March and because of this my home has yet to be repaired. I wish I would have never listened to Harold, this has been an awful experience for me with no end in sight.Desired Settlement: If Guaranteed Plumbing didn't know before, you know now about how [redacted] has treated one of your mutual customers who your company representative recommended. Whether or not an apology is issued, won't help the situation I'm in now. I just want this company to know what has happened as a result of their recommendation.

Dear **. [redacted]:

I have read the above referenced complaint. We are sorry to hear that our customer had problems with the insurance adjuster.

We try to handle ourselves professionally and surround ourselves with the same type of associates. Any client that has property damage and infor** us they have filed a claim with their insurance company should be advised to contact an insurance adjuster to make sure their case is handled fairly. In some cases the insurance adjuster cannot help due to the type of policy or coverage.

Thank you for this information, it should be helpful in the future to avoid any problems for our clients.

Sincerely,

Consumer

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: I had a leak in my middle bathroom and I called Guaranteed Plumbing & Heating to inquire about fixing this problem. I was told by a representative that new faucets, drip spout, and valves will fix the problem. He informed me that this will resolve the problem. Two days later when my grandson took a shower in the middle bathroom, the leak started again. I called Guaranteed Plumbing & Heating and informed them that the problem was not resolved and they sent a representative out. The representative informed me of this new problem and said that he was not responsible for calking. He told me that calking would fix the problem for sure and that I should wait 24 hours before using the middle shower. I waited 24 hours and told my grandson to use the shower in the middle bathroom and while he was in the shower the leak started again. I am not satisfied with this because I payed for a service that I was assured would fix the problem the first time and when they came out the second time, the problem was not resolved.

RE: [redacted] - [redacted]/Revdex.com complaint ID: [redacted]

To Whom It May Concern:

Please be advised that I am familiar with this job and this customer. Upon our free inspection on June 25, 2013 we found a bad tub/shower faucet. We advised her at that time that we are not responsible for any caulking or any other work. The customer accepted our price and contract. I have enclosed copies of all paperwork where it is clearly stated.

A couple days after our work, **. [redacted] called us about a leak. We promptly went out and inspected our work. We found our faucet to be working properly. We advised her again that that she needs caulking and we could caulk for an additional fee. We specifically informed her (my sales rep, my supervisor and myself) that there is no guarantee on caulking and again our paperwork states the same.

Unless she is prepared to do additional repairs to tub walls and shower door and possible drain line work there is nothing further we can do.
