Review: I was convinced that I should purchase the Guardsman Furniture Protection plan when I purchsed my furniture. I paid for it but now there is a small tear in my sofa that showed up after moving and apparently this is not covered. I was told that if I had any issues with the furniture for 10 years it would be covered, yet every time I have tried to file a claim it gets denied for some technical reason. Therefore, I have paid for this service that they find technicalities to apply so they don't have to fulfill any claims.Desired Settlement: I would like my sofa repaired OR the money I paid for this sham program to be refunded.

Review: I purchased a sectional from JENNIFER CONVERTIBLES in January 2013. I purchased the 5 year protection plan from GUARDSMAN for $199.00. We are a young family and we get stains on the sofa THAT IS WHY I PURCHASED THE PROTECTION PLAN!!. I had one small stain a few months after purchase and they sent someone to clean it. FINE.

I have since filed 5 more claims for various stains THAT SHOULD BE COVERED - they are ON the list of COVERED STAINS. Food, INK, etc.

THEY HAVE DENIED ALL OF THOSE CLAIMS!!!

I have heard MANY OTHER PEOPLE having the same issue with this company. THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR WARRANTY.Desired Settlement: I either want MY ENTIRE sectional PROFESSIONALLY cleaned or I want a refund for the $199.00

Review: I filed a complaint about this company last year (about their horrible policy on not repairing reported scratches and dents due to other scratches being on the warrantied item that were not reported). While the furniture was not repaired, much to my dismay, I was told they would refund the warranty. The company has yet to do so.Desired Settlement: A full refund for the warranty that they look for any reason not to repair.

Review: I purchased a warranty with Guardsman, when I purchased my dining room set through [redacted]’s in Columbia, MD. 4 weeks ago we found a large scratch on our table and contacted Guardsman to have it fixed as well as some wear and tear on our chair legs, since they would already need to come out to fix our table. After submitting our claim online and having to submit additional mail as they requested through postal service (not sure why in this day of age we would need to submit additional information through mail), two weeks later we were contacted to submit more photos (30 photos total) for Guardsman to come out and repair our dining room furniture. After submitting all of our photos, Guardsman denied our request stating “accumulation of use” and with two Guardsman representatives stating it is due to us using our furniture. They said after reviewing your photos it’s clear your warranty is voided due to accumulation of use. We spent $399 on a warranty on furniture that pretty much went void the first time we sat down and at Christmas dinner at our table (we only use that table on Holidays). Basically anybody who uses their furniture one time would void their warranty with Guardsman. After reviewing their Facebook page (reviews turned off of course) and seeing all of their customers post to page, I realized that I wasn’t the only customer of theirs they treated badly and didn’t honor their commitment and warranty. They find every loophole to not have to fix your furniture. Not one person said any thing positive about Guardsman and I couldn’t find one person who said they honored their warranty. How can that be? How can this company still be in business? Unfortunately everybody who paid in to the warranty and actually need it, will soon realize that Guardsman only takes your money.Desired Settlement: I expect my dining room table and chairs to be repaired as promised when I purchased my warranty. If not, I expect a full refund of my warranty so I can pay to have somebody come out and do the repairs.

Review: On Sept 3, 2012 I took out a 5 year warranty for my furniture that cost $129.00 on my $1400 purchase of my recliner chair, sofa, loves seat. A few weeks ago I went online to submit the request to fix accidental damages such a rip or tear which is clearly stated in the contract that it is covered. After submitting in online I had to take pictures and then mail out the form (Which is a time consuming process). They clearly want to make it as difficult as possible. Then a couple of more weeks go by and they deny my claim with no explanation. I truly feel this is a scam and no matter what I put down they would have denied. They took my $129.00 and don't guarantee serviceDesired Settlement: All I want is what is deserving which is to repair my recliner and sofa which both are covered where it states under:

Review: I purchased furniture from Bob's Discount Furniture with their "Goof Proof" protection program. We bought a sofa, loveseat, coffee table, end tables and dressers. Well over $1000 worth of furniture. The first set of sofas fell apart within one week after purchase and we exchanged for a different set. During the course of 5 years the furniture was "repaired" and continued to fall apart. Guardsman would not even attempt to fix the coffee tables, deeming them unusable and when trying to have our sofa and loveseat replaced(like the protection plan states) after several failed repairs, they refuse to honor their warranty.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the amount of credit promised to replace all furniture bought.
