Review: I purchased a gucci bag for $1750 at the [redacted] location on ~April 29th. There was another bag I really liked so I mentioned to the salesperson that I might return to purchase that one also. To give you some background information, I had visited [redacted] and [redacted] the same day and both salespeople at those stores had told me there would be designer bag sales (Gucci, Fendi etc) coming up in June. I asked teh Gucci salesperson (name withheld) about this "upcoming sale" mentioned by the folk at [redacted] and [redacted] and was told she knew nothing about it and there was rarely ever a sale. I believed her, purchased the bag, and went my way. This same salesperson then called me a few days after my 30 day return window was over, to notify me there was indeed a salegoing on, in case I was still interested in the other bag. I went online to check out the sale, only to find the bag I had purchased for $1750 was now down to $1229. I was horrified! I had barely taken this bag out anywhere since I purchased it and would have waited for the sale before purchasing if the rep had not deliberately withheld information for the sake of her commission. I called the store thinking this would be a simple case of price adjustment; I explained I was not looking for money back, but would appreciate a store credit in the difference (approximately $500) to put toward the other bag I liked that was also on sale. The salesperson was off a few days, then promised to look into it but never got back to me, and I was basically being given the run-around. I called the Gucci.com customer service and was told the [redacted] Gucci is "independent" and not under their domain. They provided the corporate #, which I called and was transferred to regional manager (Coleen W[redacted]). I left a voicemail and sent an email on June 11th, but heard nothing back. I feel cheated (like I dealt with a used car salesman who intentionally withheld information). For such a "high end" product, I have found customer service to be deplorable!!Desired Settlement: If the sale is still on, I would like the difference (~$500) in store credit to apply to the other bag; otherwise, I would like a price adjustment with the $500 returned to me. This is not an unreasonable request.
