1. I do not want Guinco to ever come back to my home for anything and their offer to supposedly repair the dishwasher air gap at my expense was never the reason for my complaint. Guinco is not addressing the real issue of the damage they did to my home. They never even  repaired the dishwasher, the reason for their visit in the first place.2. They did damage to my property when they were in the home and this is the reason for the complaint. Guinco has refused to repair the damage they did to my home.3. Guinco has referenced something on you tube and the city of Keller. I live in and fall under the City of Ft Worth jurisdiction.  I talked with the plumbing and building inspector for Ft. Worth. They confirmed the way my vent is installed is correct and also an acceptable method as well as the above sink method Guinco prefers. Worth Building and Plumbing inspector at [email protected]. I hope this clears up any misinformation that Guinco has falsely represented as fact. 4. Regardless the opinion of Guinco, even if the dishwasher air vent was installed they way they do it or the way most other contractors now do it and how the City of Ft. Worth recommends, the bottom line is that the Guinco repairman should have never removed the air vent and he should have never left it hanging down inside the cabinet. The repairman was not in my home to fix the air vent and he should have never even touched it. I respect his opinion of the way they do the air vent installation, but that is only their opinion. Even if my vent was installed incorrectly, which it was not, that still did not give the Guinco repairman authorization to remove my vent and leave it hanging down. 5. The Guinco repairman's actions were negligent as he should have replaced the air vent to where it was mounted. He did not and therefore damage was done to my home.  Guinco is responsible for that damage. I also discussed this with the dishwasher manufacture warranty department. They also claim that Guinco is responsible for the damage to my home and they said they will file a complaint in their system that Guinco has not taken care of their responsibility during this repair.

Our technician pointed out to the customer that his Air Gap was not installed properly. Instead of being "mounted" beside the sink on his counter, it was hanging under the counter. plumber or granite installer stating that "you can't drill a hole in granite so it has to be installed below the sink". [redacted], the owner of Guinco, personally called this gentleman to ask what he thinks we could have done better and to make sure he completely understood what we were recommending. He admitted that the technician did indeed tell him it was installed wrong. When he shared with me what he was told about the granite, I tried explaining to him this was incorrect information and suggested contacting a professional plumber and or granite installer. I have to assume he did the installation himself since he went on to inform me that not only was I full of it, but he had "10 houses with the same install". I informed him we were not responsible since he refused to have it installed correctly. At this point he used inappropriate language threatening to "see me in court". I did went ahead a hang up on him at that point based on his language.Google "Air Gap dishwasher installation" if this isn't clear.
